Question of the Day, Dec 28 LLPOH version

California just made it illegal for anyone under the age of 16 to ride a hoverboard. When is enough enough? Should the electric cars require a drivers license? Will the people EVER do anything about these nuisance laws? How can even a good cop keep up with all of it?

For the good cops that are left – they cannot keep up with it. They are frustrated with the system they work within and look forward to retirement. For the rest of them – it will be taze now – ask questions and verify ‘legality’ later.

There is no way to fix the fact that our justice system has been co-opted and replaced by a “legal” system. There is a remarkable difference between the two – one is concerned with right and wrong (the discovery of truth) and the other is nothing more than a system of cancer meant to eat away at the fabric of our once (mostly) free and somewhat rational civilization.

Justice is the product of truth. Legality is the tool of tyrants.

“How can even a good cop keep up with all of it?”

They just follow the prime directive of their watch commander which is, “No matter what happens out there, make sure YOU come home alive at the end of your shift.”

I see little children in my neighborhood riding their stylish tricycles down the sidewalk accompanied by mom, wearing little crash helmets.

When my kids were young they had big wheels and no helmet and I sure as hell didn’t shepherd them around the neighborhood.

I notice Michael J. Fox isn’t wearing his government mandated safety crash helmet for skateboarders. I hope he has his ID on him for when he gets stopped.

The problem around my neighborhood is electric scooters. People use them as transportation on sidewalks and bike lanes. Cops seem to look the other way. I’ve come close to bumping them once or twice because in the ‘hood my Prius is mostly EV and vewy vewy quiet as Bugs would say.

While we’re talking surreal, anyone not catch this?

The State Department is counting “bringing peace” to Syria as one of its wins in 2015.

I actually like that guy, Bashar Assad.

I heard a bit of his interview with the demented plastic
Charlie Rose. He was forthright and spoke softly.
I would have him to dinner, with his wife and young
children any day, if he could come. He seems lovely.

State Dept? Peace? that’ll be the day.

Bob, you misunderstand. I hope that hover boards come to your hood. Lazy teenage fucks riding these things inside the mall and disconnecting your life support equipment to charge up the batteries. Californians are actually so fucking dumb that they need these laws to protect them from themselves.
