Keynesians think we can,. Then again, Keynes said that credit expansion performs “the miracle of turning a stone into bread.”

HSF said some things have to die so others can live. My take is that energy comes from the sun, plants convert that energy into food we can consume. Now that Lent is over, we can also throw a steak on the grill.

The people can be taxed into a POLITICIAN’S prosperity – just look at the Clintons, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi – they all have STACKS of cash when they went into office only modestly well off. Hell, the Clintons were BROKE when they left the White House (yeah, right!) and now after a few hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars of speaking fees, a big round of donations to their “foundation” and the stuff we don’t know about, they’re comfortably well off!
Democratic President’s first rule – put a pliant patsy in at DOJ to make sure you won’t be prosecuted for your lies, theft and genuine criminal activity while in office. After you get out, no one will because they don’t want to set a “precedent” in case they’ve done something, deliberate or accidental.
