Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton suggested Wednesday that Americans have too many guns in their homes.
“When it comes to guns, we have just too many guns. On the streets, in our homes, in our neighborhoods,” the former secretary of state told a gun violence forum in Philadelphia, according to a clip obtained by Washington Free Beacon.
“And, you know, there’s been a lot of talk in this campaign, in the primary campaign, about the power of certain interests in our country,” she said. “And we do have a bunch of powerful interests, make no mistake about it. But there is no more powerful lobby than the gun lobby.”
Mrs. Clinton has focused her campaign on strict gun control and lashed out at Democratic rival Bernard Sanders this week for not doing the same.
Last year, Mrs. Clinton said Australia’s mandatory gun buyback program of semi-automatic rifles and shotguns was “worth considering” in the United States, comparing it to President Obama’s so-called “cash for clunkers” program.
For a slimy spineless weasel who is otherwise politically minded, why is she grabbing the “third rail of American politics” with both hands and licking it?
This position is not going to garner her any votes, and will produce 100% turnout among many people who are indifferent to the eventual Republican nominee but damned if Killary is going to try and steal their guns.

Over the next few years we will loose our gun rights. It’s gonna happen. It may be painful. Some of us may be in prison or dead but that is the way the country is moving. Persnickety is right about the voters issue. I highly doubt there are very many on the left who are single issues voters on the issue of pro gun control. But this kind of talk can potentially create a couple million single issue voters who despise the GOP but vote anyway just because of the gun control comments.

As much as I oppose Hillary Clinton’s views on firearms, and while we should be watchful, I think the anti-2nd Amendment forces have way too many obstacles to get their platform executed.

Without guns and the ability to protect yourself you are completely dependent on government for you safety and well-being. Total dependence on government gives government total control.
“Too many guns in our homes” Translates into – We need to get rid of guns so that Government has total control.
Hillary needs to lead by example, and permanently get rid of her Secret Service protective detail. Bill Clinton and Obama need to do so as well.

in NY they passed this outrageous “Safe Act” after sandycrook, and every gun club basically stopped accepting members, due to demand, there is like a 3- 5 year waiting list to join any club.
then once they set the precedent, they will continue to whittle away at the rights, with moar laws, that will allow seizure of registered firearms for violation of civil statues, like failure to pay alimony, etc.
They are already attempting to limit firearms, by making it harder to buy ammo, in all states, and this trend will also continue. any active shooter already knows this fact.
It’s sad but I think the next generation (the ones still in k-12) are already getting condition to “school lockdowns” and other big brother programming that they will not hesitate to conform to the laws that will be coming down the pike.
