According to Deloitte, many millennials around the world are planning near-term exits from their employers. Many have expressed their belief that businesses have few motivations beyond profit and they would prefer to place their own values ahead of organizational goals. For millennials searching for new employment opportunities, a good work/life balance is their top priority in any future career. The reputation of a company and its leaders is not considered important by young workers today.

“when choosing a job”??? Do millennials or any other demographic for that matter have jobs to choose from?

The text is overlaid by the sidebar, so there may be more than I can read.

Reality will kick most of them in the ass soon enough. You can’t void the laws of physics.

In my day young people sought employment to have a roof over their head and in the process not starve to death because not much was left over after paying the rent and utilities. Nobody axed us if we were happy with the work/ life ratio or if we felt a deep sense of purpose in our work. What a bunch of pussies.

My parent’s generation would have been ashamed of us had we been so self absorbed.

They are surveying unemployed college students. Of course they are being all idealistic and shit.

If you can get a job the only thing you worry about is pay. At least at our age.

Millennials don’t really care about work. What they care about is people respecting their feelings and opinions. Sadly, there is little demand for either going forward, so it is probably for the best that work is not high on their priority list.

Im wondering if those were the choices of questions or they just asked whats important and they came out with those answers.

What about being specialised and competent, hard to replace, in demand, good reputation for quality, getting the job done. And from those things comes good money. None of that matters now?
