Wonder why Paul Ryan won’t debate Paul Nehlen as if I really need to ask.
If Nehlen somehow knocks off Paul Ryan in the August 9 primary, it could be a spark that proves Trump can also win in November.
If Trump has any political instincts at all, he’ll get behind Nehlen. If he doesn’t get behind Nehlen’s campaign right now, at the height of his influence, I would take that as a sign that he doesn’t want to win himself.
If he supported Ryan, they would whine that he was injecting himself into a Republican contest. Right now he can do nothing right.
Is there another vote for Speaker of the House? Gayle is correct, Trump has a now win scenario with Ryan – best to dither and delay, which is what Trump is doing.

Since I’m not in his state, I can’t vote for the guy, but I DID send him money. The things he’s done, like holding rallies and interviews outside the “Wall” that surrounds Paul Ryan’s personal property, it takes guts. We need guys like Nehlen fighting the good fight and calling out the globalists. If Nehlen wins, it would be a great in-your-face victory against the establishment.

As I just wrote in a comment to Buchanan’s essay, I see Ryan’s primary as an important indicator of the country’s actual mood in regards to the election. If the discontent really is as bad as I think, then Ryan will either lose or just squeak by 5% or less. If he wins going away, then the Republican leadership will bail out on Trump publicly, and will get crushed in November when their turnout craters on them “unexpectedly”. This week is critical.
It is Insiders vs Outsiders. Paul Ryan is an Insider- Clinton is an Insider.
