Thanks. I am a PA Ex-Pat (now living in the boonies of Central NY – hopefully far from this sort of thing) but my parents grew up in Philly and often took us there as kids. Fond memories of Wanamakers holiday visits. I have had to haul my Dad in there this Spring to UPenn Medical after he fell and fractured his hip. I hate those trips and on the first one in Feb, being unfamiliar with the City, I trusted The Google, and took a return trip to Chester County via a route through a part of town I would have preferred to avoid. Walnut Street, IIRC. I was glad it was cold at the time.

What language were they attempting to speak? That wasn’t really even a fight. It was mostly people screaming, walking around and throwing shit on the floor. With all of that barking, I would have left immediately – even if I’d already paid for my burrito and it was still heating up in the microwave. I could always come back for it in ten minutes.
Here’s the news account of the incident: http://6abc.com/news/2-charged-in-northeast-philadelphia-wawa-brawl-/1457803/. Had I been in Store I would have been armed. With the disparity of force present, meaning the whole lot of them against one fella, it would have been justified to draw your weapon to stop the attack . Had they persisted, putting the most aggressive of the pack down would have been justified as well.
Here’s a story out of La. where a customer became irate, began yelling at the clerk and throwing things. A open carrier who also happens to be a instructor went to get the guys plate number. The perp begins attacking the instructor as he’s retreating. Irate man gets the instructor cornered then takes a shot to the chest for his antics. It’s ruled a justifiable homicide. http://www.wdsu.com/news/local-news/new-orleans/gunman-arrested-after-one-person-shot-at-mandeville-gas-station-mpd-says/38855596

Looks like a setup fight to allow some shoplifters to “get they steal on”. Wasn’t much fighting going on there.

Just once I’d like to see these videos end with cops arriving to arrest the whole lot of them. That or some normal people deciding to take a stand and at least prevent the rabble from walking calmly out the door after causing thousands in damages. This country is completely backward, too tough on normal working people and too lenient on street criminals and Ivy League criminals alike.
I work in the nightlife industry and it’s the same thing. Troublemakers know that even after involvement in a major fistfight, assaulting or insulting others there is less 1% of actually going to jail. They always just end up walking, not even running, calmly away from the giant mess they just caused. I often see the same people out the next night, with their fresh black eye, looking for Round 2. And you look at someone like Alton Sterling, 21 arrests in the last 10 years and life goes on for these people. There simply is no incentive in this country to not act like an animal once you have already reached miscreant status.
Sure, the system will fry the 45 year old accountant who split a pitcher at Applebee’s and then blew through a stop sign. License suspension, classes, fines, mandatory donations to MADD, etc. Why? Because the judges know he will pay. The street thug is always out of jail in a lightning flash, because the judges know there is 0 chance of ever collecting.
Also, alcohol makes people totally unreasonable and makes the situations almost impossible to control with large force multipliers behind you. Gone are the days when you could enjoy the convenience of a 24 hour convenience store. Grabbing a bite late at night, filling up your tank, or shopping when the crowds aren’t out. You are simply rolling the dice every time you go out after midnight, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. And the odds of something bad happen to you spike in the hour just after the bars close. Better to stay home in today’s America.
Anybody know which Wawa was this and when?
Wawa on Torresdale Avenue and Levick Street. Three days ago.

So Admin, are you back from Colorado? How was it?
Dean Wormer was right-
Like a fight at an African watering hole.
Clearly they are Obama supporters, and future Hillary voters.
Where are the ADULTS?
