Apparently many of the ‘never Trump-ers’ including Romney, Kasich and Bush have called to congratulate Trump after doing their best to stab him in the back.
The fear now is Trump will be enveloped by the beltway ‘go along to get along’ status quo statism and start watering down his campaign promises. People such as Paul Ryan are examples of politicians who have done this—much to the disdain of Republican voters.
Trump should gracefully accept congratulations from such people—even from Obama. But he not reward their betrayals with an invitation to his party. He should not grant them an ear or any influence. And in the case of Hillary, he should still lock her up.

Jimbo, the removal of Chris Christie and his staff and loyalists from the Trump transition team is very telling. Word is, they were cutting a few corners trying to settle some personal IOUs, and got bounced out on their asses. All their work was tossed as suspect.
Personal IOUs?
In other words, settling some scores with people Christie was politically indebted to, by glossing over corruption in their backgrounds, and pushing them to the top of the list, instead of disqualifying them
I will judge him by his actions, not his words. Hopefully he actually does start draining the swamp once he is in DC, because right now it looks like he is just another person strolling through the revolving door that is our government/corporate oligarchy.
All we can do is wait and see what he does. Hoping for some actual change, but only time will tell. Dumping Christie is a good start. Now if he would just rid himself of Giuliani and say that he only reached out to Dimon as a joke then I will be more optimistic.
As long as he saves the Supreme Court from total leftist political domination I really don’t care about anything else he does since that is where the battles for the future and nature or our country will be fought.
That’s the main reason I voted for him with anything else he accomplishes being icing on the cake to me.
Mostly, I just don’t want World War 3 to kick off.
Also, I want a lower tax rate. And do something to Obamacare.
Thats like….3 days of work tops. He could literally sit and practice pen-twirling for all I care if he can get those things done.
TPC, it’s getting better. Today Pence dismissed everyone with lobbying in their background. They’re learning fast.
