Without the counterweight of the mechanisms devise in the U.S. Constitution, both in the federal national legislation and the indirect election of the federal chief magistrate (the president), the first thirteen sovereign polities joined in the international alliance of jealously-privileged countries (not “provinces” but states) would have never joined in the American Revolution.

What reason would have the citizens of New Jersey to have ever found common cause in a union with the people of North Carolina or New Hampshire? Without sureties choking the New Yorkers’ ability to dominate all around themselves, why should the Garden State resist the Manhattanites’ ability to conquer from the Hudson to the Delaware? Without the Electoral College, we we should have come into bloody sectional warfare before 1830.

What I find heartening is the fact that those of us who benefit by the Electoral College are the portion of the American citizenry who hold the majority of longarms – centerfire rifles of reasonable capacity suitable to military effectiveness – in private hands.

Watch your asses, progtards. We will kill you.

We’d like to do that. You’re on our “Better Off Dead” list right now. Give us a reason. Please!

To reflect the reality of this last election, that map should probably contain more of Mexico and less of Canada.

Every state that permits voter fraud should be eliminated from the final count. If the state has permitted one crooked precinct, how can we be sure there aren’t 50? Of course there will be 5 crooked Democrat states for every Republican; and Democrats howling like Hell, but if you get your hand stuck in the Nation’s Cookie Jar, the Adults should teach you a lesson you never forget. After all, it was Union Gen Sherman who taught that lesson.

LOVE how Mejico is included on the “U.S. Election” map.
