This is also a wonderful reason to take time to pray at least once a day. It re-focuses me. It settles my mind to where I am and what is going on around me and with those I care about. It gives me time to set self aside and to think of others, of my Creator, my blessings and to restore my heart with gratitude.

You, obviously, have not had a lot of heart breaks and sorrows in your life. I have come to a point that I fear God, but no longer love that entity. When I have needed that entity I have always been fed to the wolves. I have suffered humiliation, degradation, ridicule, embarrassment, various injustices, and other heart & soul injustices. I became successful by self determination, perseverance, and a deep seeded believe in my ability to overcome whatever stood in my way. When I prayed to that entity, or depended on that entity to help me “get through” that entity was NEVER there and I fell on my face. When I ignored that entity, I always succeeded. You can lean on that “CRUTCH,” if you wish, but it only suggests that you do not have a strong conviction about yourself and your abilities.
Nobody ever said that being a Christian would be easy, but in fact Jesus said quite the opposite. Suggest that you re-evaluate your beliefs.
