The few that I know make an effort to ensure that their “children” turn out to be gay or lesbian also.

I assume that this is meant to be a joke. “Same sex parents” do not exist, unless I missed the article on asexual reproduction. Two mentally disturbed perverts may have been allowed by the corrupt, vile state to abduct or – like some kind of horrid Frankenstein’s – “produce” a child or children, but they are not “parents”. Even if one is the “biological” (love that term) half of the child, he or she is not acting as a parent if responsible for bringing a homosexual element into their “family.” All such arrangements should be illegal, with severe punishment for the participants, including any state actors involved in any way.

RiNS, I find every aspect of the photo you reference disgusting and a thinly-veiled attempt at virtue signaling.
I have met two pairings of the followers of Lesbos, and in both instances they were paired as two morbidly obese humans with the appearance of wanna-be male, bikers. I exaggerate not. Each pairing had one larger member with a leather wallet with a chain from thick black belt to the back pocket of the work-worn jeans. Crew cuts for both and biceps tattoos.
Both pairings had little boys sadly, who had never had haircuts with girly clothing with sparkles and Disney princesses. If I thought they’d have done anything, I would have called Child Protective Services ( but CPS is too busy harassing home-schoolers and Christian parents who refuse to let their kids be taught the 5 pillars of Islam in public indoctrination centers across the country.)

Give it a rest. I was just yanking chains. Just like the fellow who posted it in first place. Virtue signaling. Are you serious this QOTD is a signal for the virtuous.. And a fantasy about hot lesbo sex ain’t exactly virtuous. Still like Freud said once sometimes a cigar is just a fucken’ cigar.

If it helps I was just playing devil’s avocat. Think it is wrong. But what am I or you going to do about it.

Ill catch a ration of shit for this, but…Do I think they are “good” for children? No, I do not. The good old fashion American family is what is good for children. However, do I think a same sex couple is preferable to children raised by the state in foster care or in homes? In some, perhaps many cases, yes. When given the two bad choices to choose from, children adopted by a gay couple that loves and wants them and is able to focus their attention on them rather than divide their attention between house full of transient children have a much better chance at turning into productive members of society.

June 13, 2017 9:16 am

No.

It’s really, really simple. First, a same-sex couple by definition deprives the child of the role model of an ordinary married couple (that would be male/female for those who are dense).

Second, the people who form gay couples are invariably poor role models as individuals. Gay men are almost universally extremely promiscuous. Lesbians vary in promiscuity but are invariably “feminists” and many of them hate men. None of them are fit to raise normal, well-adjusted children.

I have nothing against gays in general, and outside of child-rearing I believe they should have the same real freedoms (not made-up preferential “rights”) as anyone else. But they should not be parents.

The standard counterargument is that there are straight couples and straight single women who are totally fucked up and bad parents. That is true, but it doesn’t mean that gay people are suddenly great parents.

It can be better than some alternatives.

Foster care. Orphanage. Abandonment. Adoption by a bad hetero-couple (ie: drugs/fights/abusive etc)

I’ve known gay-couples who adopted and pushed a hetero lifestyle on their child, just like I’ve known hetero couples who push the LGBTQ lifestyle on their own offspring.

I think its because, unlike you guys, I live somewhere that is predominately conservative, where saying things like “Hey wanna see the gun I bought this weekend?” is cause for excitement, and “Lets get a beer” ends in a bunch of blue collar guys sitting around drinking Coors Light and talking about fishing….or women. Or getting away from women under the pretense of fishing.

Anyway, I guess my point is that because I live in a more conservative area, that means that the gay population is also (drum roll) more conservative! We do have a small pocket of die-hard socialists mostly revolving around university professors and a couple downtown businesses.

But….for the most part….most of the gay people I know are Christian who have come out to their pastor/priest, hold down normal 9-5 jobs, and vote Republican/Libertarian. They see their position as a personal quirk or oddity, but not much to get excited about. And they fucking hate the shit-show that is the modern LGBTQ movement.

To quote a member of the Trump supporting gay people I know, “When I came out to my family(as gay) I thought I would lose them but they accepted me. When I came out to my friends(as conservative) I lost all of them.”

I’m willing to bet there are a lot of normal everyday people who are gay that hide their political leanings because of the backlash they get from “their” community.

I agree with TPC. You know what a child needs? Love and support. I’d rather a child be in a home with two loving parents, whatever their sexual leanings, than in a home with drugs or abuse. One of my kids’ best friends has two moms, and they’re all great people. For those who think it’s an abomination, or that “all gay people are [insert stereotype here],” I’m curious if you actually know any gay parents or are just talking out of your asses.

Statistically, children of homosexual couples due worse in life.

Not just the morally, but legally who is the guardian of the children? If they decide to ‘divorce’ who gets them? Technically the biological parent legally should get them (if one was a donor and not adopted). Does the other have any visitation rights? They have no connection to them except being in the same house together.

They have a much better chance at turning out normal/productive than the kids that are used and abused by the foster system. Damn near ANYTHING is better than them being raised by the state.

You guys are making the mistake of comparing homo couples raising kids to the standard married man/woman. Obviously the normal married couple is best for the kids, and pretty much everything else. But those aren’t the only two options. If you think loving gay people won’t do a better job than govt run or sponsored foster home type environments, you really need to do a little research. I’m not necessarily defending the practice, Im just pointing out that there are far far worse places for children to be than with a gay couple that loves them.

Dunno “empirically” – don’t know any homosexual parents, & even if I did, it’d be a too small sample.

But other corollary q’s beg. Single parents, either gender? Grandparents, one or both raising grandkids. Uncles &\or aunts raising nieces\nephews. Foster parenting. What about asexuals? I had a spinster great aunt, great woman, who prolly went to her grave bypassing sex altogether. Likely no matter how you skin it, there will be results along a continuum.

Sex angles are overblown & don’t speak to character, including parental character, in any necessary way.

My own parents, like many, left much to be desired even tho genders were “correct.” Besides & plus, nurture’s only a part. No shortage of bad seeds come out of conventional arrangements that are good, or good seeds that come out of conventional arrangements that are bad. When simplistic & prognostic get married, they tend to freak out over lots of things. They also tend to mind others’ business.

Saw “Free State of Jones” recently. Civil War setting, Mississippi. Flash forward scenes are in a courtroom. A male descendant is, or is deemed to be, 1/8 negro, & the state has color of law forbidding his marrying a white woman. What nonsense. And a variation on the same nonsense as here – who the parents are having sex with.

Tell you what, I have way less trouble, none actually, with Greek sexual practices than I do with that democracy thing they invented…talk about being bent over & raped. But anal retentive, & intensive, rapine is part of the human condition, and what’s socially sanctioned\acceptable slides back\forth along a greased continuum. That grease is often just fashionable, or peer pressure (*here* but not *there*). Often hypocrisy infused, too.

We had neighbors that are lesbian, they moved about 8 years ago but we see them from time to time. A son was born to Char by a previous marriage, Judy had a daughter by artificial insemination.
Char is a retired teacher and Judy is set to retire from her Art museum position.

Once on Halloween the son, then 14, came to our door for his treat, he was gorgeous, I mean stunningly beautiful, she was very pretty but a very awkward teenager.

The two kids should be in their 30’s by now.
He lives alone out east somewhere and according to Char is happy alone, the daughter was married, became a raging alcoholic and is in need of a new liver.

Hard to say if they are the way they are because of non traditional parents, or just luck of the draw.

I would rather have been brought up in a home of a gay couple that loved me than in a home of a straight couple that didn’t even want me there.

BB — “The whole homosexual political agenda is based on lies and junk science.”

That’s a pretty broad statement. Are you saying that homosexuals think they are OK because of junk science? Please explain to me how fudge packing has anything to do with junk science. Also explain to me if it is it OK that a man sticks it up his wife’s ass so not to have any more children? That doesn’t sound very natural to me — Does it say it is OK in your Bible?

Nature has designed your penis to go into a vagina to make babies. You are not using your dick for what it was intended if you use a condom, masturbate, or engage in anal or oral sex. By definition, that is unnatural — whether it is a man/woman, man/man, woman/woman or a selfie. Back in the days of the caveman they probably fucked like dogs — whoever/whenever. Society has progressed to a point where it is no longer possible (or acceptable) to do so. Who are you or I to criticize how someone relieves their sexual urges as long as it is consensual and the person giving consent is aware of what they are doing.

How do you know the Bible isn’t based on lies? Your parents told you so, and their parents told them so, and their parents told them so, and their parents told them so ……. generation to generation has passed down this concept so it must be “The Truth”. All religions are parents brainwashing their kids into accepting their beliefs.

It is possible to be a good person (that is, be honest, be truthful, be polite and be respectful) without believing in God, Jesus, Buddah, Mohammed, or any other concept.

In one study of 15,000 children raised by gay couples, done a few years back, 67% of the children of lesbians had been on welfare/assistance programs during their upbringing. Only 2% had the same lesbian parents from birth to age 18.

Gay men did not fare well for many reasons and abuse, even sexual abuse, is common in this situation. Study after study proves children fare much better in a household with a maternal parent and a father. There are pages of studies on the net, read some of them before you cop the PC attitude.

I’m not sure how this sick comedy of a society will break down but I honestly believe it will. There are too many incompatible subsets in the overall set – the Liberals cannot get along with the Religious, the rich do not associate with the poor, and the Islamics don’t get along with anyone else.
When the Crunch comes, you’d better be able to get along with disciplined, prepared and strong people, ’cause any other sort are liable to be casualties. And I don’t hear a strong call for discipline, preparations or strength in the homosexual communities.

Why are there unwanted babies getting adopted in the first place? The majority of those that adopt should be commended. Some of those doing the adopting are shitty parents but I refuse to think that anyone’s sexual preference has anything to do with their parenting ability.

chris — who defines morality?

Gays fuck for pleasure, straights fuck for pleasure and consequences have been seen over and over. Consequences such as STDs, unwanted babies, and divorces happen occasionally and unfortunately are not considered often enough before “going for it”. Consequences come from not thinking in the first place. Your morality doesn’t make the difference.

I have enjoyed sex, drugs and booze for most of my life and I have had a wonderful life without accepting God’s precepts (whatever that is). I have never met anyone that has been to heaven and can prove to me that an eternal life in heaven exists. Heaven is brainwashing that has been passed down through generations to get people to behave themselves. Mother spanked me for misbehavior and reinforced it with if I did it again God won’t let me go to heaven. I never stole coins out of my mother’s purse again because I feared getting spanked — God and heaven had nothing to do with it.

One day I will be dead — that’s it, no heaven, no hell, just dead.
