**** The NFL

Guest Post by Karl Denninger

It’s quite simple folks: You never have the right to use your professional position, while on the job, to advocate for a political position or perspective outside of that which your boss explicitly endorses and supports.

If you choose to do so anyway then you ought to be immediately fired for cause.

When I ran MCSNet anyone who did such a thing would have been instantly fired.  This would have been true even if I supported the political position in question personally because to choose to do so without the explicit endorsement and participation of the corporation is to abuse your position at the firm for your personal political advocacy.

That is simply not your decision as an employee to make — period.

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. Among other things such an action may lead customers and potential customers to choose to shun the company and its products.  That is a trade-off you, as a “star employee”, do not have the right to evaluate or commit the firm to — period, end of discussion, full-stop.

Trump is exactly correct and the NFL commissioner is flat-out wrong.  Since the NFL Commissioner thinks that players have the right to choose what a franchise owner must support in terms of political positions as independent acts, obligating the franchise owner to the economic consequences of same, it is my position that we should all give them plenty of economic consequences.

IN SHORT, BOYCOTT THE NFL AND EVERYTHING THAT TRADES ON SAME FOR PROMOTION, ADVERTISING AND RELATED ENDORSEMENTS.

I know this is about the NFL but I read a article about the huge hypocrisy and double standard of Stephen Curry, LeBron James and the NBA. It pointed out that they met with Obama while he was doing secret trade deals with Iran, a nation that treats women, Christians, Jews, homosexuals etc. horribly and Curry and the Warriors didn’t threaten to boycot their meeting with the President. Typical huge double standard and hypocrisy of the Left. Also, some other articles made the excellent point that sports are escapism entertainment for most people and they just want to “enjoy the game” and forget about the world’s troubles and not be preached to. The NFL, NBA, MLB are to stupid to realize this and its going to cost them dearly. Stupid Liberals.

Well, I have really nice Dempsey & Carroll personal stationery – they’ll give a $5 paper a look. I’m sending misssives to CEOs of Lowe’s, Coke, Bud, Miller Coors, et al. that I’m refraining from trading w/ them unless necessary (NB: I’ve owned Lowe’s since 1977, as ran the Esso Distributorship in Wilkes County in the 80s). Hit ’em where it HURTS.

Sweetie Pie & I say F*** the NFL. BTW, it’s much more fun to watch Clempson, the SEC, hell-most all of the NCAA, and even Penn State (Sweetie Pie’s Alma Mater).

What’s On Obama’s Agenda for the Saudi Arabia Summit?

You’re lying and everyone knows you’re trying to play off telling a “friend boss” to “Fuck himself” as the same thing as telling a real employer to actually “Fuck himself”.

So if a player wants to express his constitutional rights for freedom of speech, would it be Okie dokie for them to burn the Koran? You get bet your ass No! It’s only acceptable if they are slamming US patriotism. Hipocrites. To hell with them.

I like people who can reduce complicated concepts into simple ideas. Hey, while you’re at it, could you add lawyers, “activists,” antifa, “jounalists,” and college employees? Oh, and airlines, telecoms, and internet providers! FAA! Fuck whomever came up with the FAA airlines safety announcements, too.

Bullshit. They are representing the NFL and the Team any time they’re in public. In uniform, or out, their actions are associated with their team, owner, management, coach, and the league. Right, or wrong, they are, and should be held to a higher standard as, examples to others. If a player takes a knee or smokes crack or rapes a cheeleader on the field, it reflects on the team and the league.
There is no freedom of speech when you’re on someone else’s dime.
Well, there is, but they’re also free to fire you on the spot.
It’s why you don’t see me drunk at work or in the wrong attire or trying to campaign for my politician of choice or even trying to set up tupperware parties on the clock.

Also the inconvenient factoid some of the 112 were shot by Black cops. Stats also show a Black cop is three times as likely to shoot a Black criminal as is a white cop. Hmmm.

WIP – guess you can now say adios. The entire team kneeled, including its illustrious owner.

Fuckers. The lot of them.

Edit – the kneeling occurred slightly before the anthem, where they all stood.

The Dallas Cowboys own their own helmets. The NFL denied their ability to show stickers supporting the Dallas cops after their recent assassination.

Go home to whatever horror show of a universe you call normal.
