President Trump Is A Jerk

Over the past few years I’ve dwindled in the volume of my commentary on most political or social issues. I’ve backed off certain topics in my writings to avoid rehashing the same thing as everybody else. If I didn’t have a unique view point on a topic I’d avoid the pile-on of writing the exact same commentary. I’ve officially tossed that stance out the window in recent days. And for good reason.

I’ve noticed I’m not the only person who gets fatigue from seeing the never-ending shit show in the media. But, I’ve found solace in knowing these people will never change. We haven’t been sending our best to Washington for decades. The end result was the American people wised up and sent Washington the President they rightfully deserved.

The most candid way to put it, President Trump is a jerk. I supported him because he’s a jerk. Throughout history jerk Presidents get more done. If they fail they’ll easily fall on their own sword. Just ask Nixon.

But the reason I like Trump despite the fact he’s openly a jerk is simply because Washington deserves him. After years of wasting our votes on people pleasing hacks, the American voter wised up and sent the cesspool the candidate it deserved. Trump likes to think he’s going to drain the swamp, and it’s a catchy chant that brings joy to the deplorables, but he’s been in the swamp for years . His boots are muddy and he’s wrestled more crocodiles than Steve Irwin. To completely drain the swamp would require an overwhelming personal sacrifice I’m not sure he’d  be willing to make. It’d likely involve throwing too many wealthy elites under the bus and losing a significant amount of his own wealth due to financial and currency reform.

For years Washington has pandered to the millionaire and billionaire class for financial support to run their “all smiles” campaigns. They made concessions on each side with behind-closed-door deals. They asked Trump for support when he was both a Democrat and a Republican. Then they cried fowl when he decided, “If you want something done right, you’d better do it yourself” and launched a bid for the Presidency. They’re not angry because of an attack on their morals or because his behavior as President is inappropriate. No, they down right hate him because he decided to dump them. The day he announced his candidacy was the day he sent imaginary pink slips to all the minions of Washington and put them on notice.

I once held the naive notion in my head the smear campaigns against him would die down. I assumed eventually the media would get bored of their new toy and start chasing a new shiny. But, it’s not going to happen. They’re only going to get more vicious as time goes on. They’re going to tell bigger lies in the media. They’re going to come up with more ways to try to force him out of office. They’re going to buy more red tape to hinder his presidency to make sure nothing changes.

So I’m going to write about these people and their slimy tactics over and over again. They’ve become predictable and desperate to make anything stick.  Because these people will never change, they’ll never be pleased, and they’ll never go away.
