New York Times Can’t Catch A Break

Crisis Actor’ Isn’t a New Smear. The Idea Goes Back to the Civil War Era.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/24/us/crisis-actors-florida-shooting.html

That’s the headline. Seriously.

The entire media as well as the combined forces of social media are going all out in an effort to drown the crisis actor baby in the bathtub before it goes full blown Fake News on them. Deleting hundreds of thousands of accounts, flagging posts, de-listing and banning posters on forums and message boards and calling everyone with a pulse and an IQ on the right hand side of the bell curve a tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist for even suggesting the entirely plausible based on the evidence suggestion that people aren’t genuine but rather contrived mouthpieces of an agenda seems a bit, I don’t know, overblown.

Every major newspaper in the country has front page stories this weekend trying to prove that actors aren’t really actors when they’re caught acting if it gets in the way of The Narrative. If we notice the ear pieces and rehearsed lines, the internships at the same network that refers to them as victims when they weren’t within earshot of the event and then act like it’s a total coincidence, and the ‘random student’ selected to speak out at the totally spontaneous Town Hall Event (the one that threw out the kid who saved fellow students for wanting to ask his own question instead of the scripted one CNN insisted he read) then we’re the problem?

OK. Got it.

The saddest example is the New York Time’s Headline from above, written by newly minted American/Dreamer, Niraj Chokshi. I understand that words are confusing things, some of them are big and others are just loaded with cis-privilege, but to confuse the Civil War with civil rights? Hello? Is this thing on?

Hey Niraj, you had just one job. How did you screw it up so badly? And NYT, I know that no one outside of Woody Allen’s circle still reads that fish-wrap you call a newspaper, but are there any editors left at The Old Gray Lady? I get it, I get, the word ‘civil’ implies a foreign idea to the people employed by the Ochs-Sulzberger Cartel, but you were off by a hundred years. ONE.HUNDRED. YEARS.

You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried.

IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN. MAPLE SUGARING SEASON. WE WILL START TAPPING THIS WEEK AND START PRODUCTION NOT LONG AFTER. DUE TO THE DEMAND LAST YEAR WE’VE ADDED ANOTHER MAINLINE AND HOPE TO PRODUCE AN ADDITIONAL 10% OVER LAST YEAR. This video from BPEarthwatch displays a crisis actor Craigslist ad for Houston Texas for an event on Sunday, March 4. The ad is no longer on Craigslist, however. The ‘event’ was to be at a medical center.

This google search will display a link to the ad, but after it connects to Craigslist, there is a banner that the ad was removed:

Remember that time when Martin Luther King met with Honest Abe at the White House?

And remember when Rosa Parks refused to sit in the back of the bus and it caused the battle of Gettysburg before Nixon got us out of that war?

As I recall, it was recently reported that 1/3 of Princeton students couldn’t place the Civil War within 50 years, most thinking it occurred in the 20th century. So this Dreamer may have gone to Princeton!
Great job, HSF.

Beyond the conflation of the Civil War with the ‘civil rights era’ the pseudo ‘American’ the NYT paid to write this drivel doesn’t seem to know what an ‘outside agitator’ was.

If you were the Governor of Alabama and had some preachers from Atlanta, Georgia come into your state to ‘agitate’ what should he call them? Local ministers? Homies? Come on! M.L. King was a Boston educated, travelling agitator who made his name in Alabama and got his ass shot to death in Tennessee.

I believe MLK was shot because he started agitating against the Vietnam War.

Check the linked articles to the right of the main one- three of them mocking “conspiracy theories’ around “crisis actors” and the fourth about how any critique of gun control in the aftermath is run by Russian ‘bot’ army.

That rant was more invigorating than my morning coffee. Once again, another fine blend of napalm with just the right mix of schadenfreude.

Whenever I watch MSNBC, read the NYT or WashPo, or interface with any of the Corporate Media Messengers; I feel like a disheartened and depressed Hollywood starlet watching Harvey Weinstein take a shower.

Hate to burst your bubble HF, but your reading comprehension is suffering from preconception. The article rambles back and forth but the thinking is lucid…for the NYT. Just sayin.

Hey, Kappa?

The title of the article is “Crisis Actor isn’t a new smear. The idea goes back to the Civil War era.”

It then goes on to describe the integration of Little Rock High School in 1957 and people accusing the students of being ringers.

You do know that the Civil War was fought in the 1860’s, right? That civil rights is something distinctly dissimilar even though it has the word ‘civil’ in it?

If you think I’ve got trouble with reading comprehension, you should worry about the plank in thine own eye.

I think the reference to freed slaves being paid for testimony after the Civil War validates the headline. I’m not defending convolution, and the article begs to be mocked, but the inaccuracy you’re pointing out is in your chair, not the article.

“As the nation began the process of postwar reunification, some in Congress invited testimony from African-Americans, offering them a per diem to cover travel costs and missed wages, she said. But those seeking to dismiss their stories of pain and demands for equality argued that the payments were proof that their accounts could not be trusted.

“You get this idea immediately after the war, during these testimonies, that people talking about civil rights are literally getting paid” to tell fabricated stories, Ms. Richardson said.

Kappa, The point is that the mainstream media is leading their readers to what the media wants their readers to believe. This is a far cry from reporting the facts, wouldn’t you agree?

The Times piece that HSF posted is propaganda spin designed to calm the natives. You fell for it, because it’s what you want to believe. Doesn’t any truth in the article regarding the Civil War or the civil rights eras set up a perfect straw man argument against the strange happenings that takes place in every modern mass casualty event?

Do you know why the Times conflated the two? So people like you would swallow it hook, line, and sinker. It works.

The fact the media is universally panicked about the crisis actor revelations means there is truth behind the story. You can take that to the bank.

Y’all are missing the point. The NYT does not consider itself as manipulating anything and trying to confuse poor ole Kappa with convolution. The NYT simply is trying to point out what it sees as historical examples of “crisis actor” usage.

You disagree. I disagree. Hooray for our side!

In even my wildest imagination I could not have been convinced this morning that I would find myself explaining for the NYT and attempting to correct HSF.

Back to the basement.

You say: “The NYT simply is trying to point out what it sees as historical examples of “crisis actor” usage.”

In this case it’s not the “what”, it’s the “why”. Why the Times felt the need to point that out.

Even more importantly, why didn’t the author of the above Times article address any of the facts as to why he felt the need to write about crisis actors in the first place.

Instead, the entire article just labels the crisis actor reports as “conspiracy” and then drudged up some facts from decades ago complete with a nice little social justice bow on top.

Now any crisis actor conspiracy theorists are racist too. See how that works?

But these people aren’t even black:

We seem to have run way off the rails from a simple reading comprehension issue involving a poorly written article.

FYI, I agree that NYT is a rag and is trying to manipulate readers thinking.

I also observe that HSF did not pick up on the actual Civil War references that the writer tried to incorporate into the article’s premise.

I am not a good candidate for being preached to, or argued with, especially by anyone who doesn’t see that they are being agreed with, semantics aside.

Sheesh!

Much of the former slaves’ testimony was made up, but we don’t know if they were paid or if they were just enjoying their 15 minutes of fame or if they thought it would earn them their 40 acres and a mule.

By the way, in the past when people were fed stories to tell, they weren’t considered crisis actors. They were considered liars giving false testimony.

“…looked up from their croustade with an eyebrow raised”

I close my eyes and can see it now:

“Say.., Gordon and Camille…, did you happen to see the typographical error in the headline of the New York Times a fortnight ago?

“Why, yes, indeed. Rupert had mentioned it to Marian who informed us of that particular indiscretion as we were enjoying our tea that afternoon.”

“Quite embarrassing for the old Grey Lady, was it not?”

“Quite so, Gordon. Quite so. By the way, that reminds me…., would you happen to have any Grey Poupon?

“But of course. But of course.”

Come on people! Cut NY Times some slack. There is a good reason they don’t recognize the crisis actors as such. They don’t research their news stories. They just make shit up . They went to the Debbie Wasserman_Shults School of Journalism. The very first reason to have doubts about a Times story is that they published it.

Like 9/11, Jewish DNA is all over the Florida massacre – from the police chief Israel to the DNC’s Wasserman-Schultz to the MSM and fake journalists such as Jake the Snake at CNN. Yes, it is repetitive because the same tribe keeps carrying out these acts of terrorism and mass murder in the US and elsewhere. Huston…we have a problem. There is an elephant trashing the kitchen but most people have their hands over their ears to deaden the sound because they are unwilling to face up to an unspeakable TRUTH. Take Back Our Nation.

This is a bit off topic, but it shows the corrupt court systems in the U.S. It’s 24 minutes and it shows how a child-trafficking attorney lies and smears, trisd to frame innocent people, and attacks a journalist investigating her for selling children in Broward County, Florida. It’s 24 minutes but well worth watching.

Good Catch there HSF! Amazing strawman on the part of this NYT fellow. And the kicker is these same folks lecture us unwashed about fake news….Anyways something is not right with this interview. The unhinged reaction of MSM to any criticism seems suspicious to say the least.

That said I did have long rant about Sheriff Israel wrote and deleted it. Still here is hoping that those cowards hang, their heads in shame…

Did check out pictures of the merchandise. Very impressive and tasty looking. I’d buy some but wonder if it would be allowed across the border. Especially the syrup. Crazy as it sounds there is a cartel/price fixing scheme in Canuckistan regarding that stuff.

Are there any issues getting this contraband across the Saint John?

I don’t ask permission from the state when it comes to private agreements between people concerning food. It’s too absurd to even consider. I know that the Canadian Government is so efficient at keeping tabs on maple syrup that they can’t account for $20 million in missing stockpiles. I guess that’s the problem of having the government control production and distribution. They suck at it.

That being said I have shipped to Canada with no trouble before and I always fill out the forms as requested.

Go ahead, get radical. Order some maple syrup from an old friend and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

That NYT article sticks to the usual MSM tactic of simply declaring something ‘false’ or ‘debunked’ or a ‘conspiracy theory’, but does not offer a single shred of proof to back up their assertions. “It is false because we just told you it was false, so don’t ask any questions about it”, is the official story every time something happens that seems fishy, planned, covered up, or just plain strange.

It would be one thing if they would provide an honest rebuttal, but to just say something is not true with zero supporting evidence is only convincing to nincompoops. I guess they know their audience at least.
