President Trump Pushes for More Foreign Guest Workers, H2-Bs, Migrant Farm Workers at Michigan Rally

Via Breitbart

Trump, Hire American

During a campaign rally in Michigan on Saturday, President Trump pushed for more foreign workers to be imported to the United States to work blue collar jobs.

As Breitbart News reports, Trump said:

And for the farmers, okay, it’s going to get good. And we’re going to let your guest workers come in because we’re going to have strong borders, but we have to have your workers come in. You know, the unemployment picture is so good, it’s so strong that we have to let people come in. They’re going to be guest workers, they’re going to come in, they’re going to work on your farms, we’re going to have the H-2Bs come in, we’re going to have a lot of things happening but then they have to go out. Then they have to go out. But, we’re going to let them in, ‘cause you need them. You need them. [Emphasis added]

We need people to be able to come into our country, do your jobs, help you on the farms, and then they go out, they’re going to leave. Guest workers, we’re going to take care of that. Guest workers. Don’t we agree? We have to have them. We have to have them. [Emphasis added]

The H-2B visa brings foreign nationals to the U.S. for low-skilled nonagricultural jobs, as Breitbart News has previously reported. The visa impacts working-class and poor Americans most, as labor jobs in the hotel industry, water parks, retail stores, and restaurants can all be outsourced to foreign workers under the program. Foreign workers using H-2B visas took roughly half a million jobs in the U.S. during the last five years.

Trump’s promotion of more imported foreign workers to the U.S. using the H-2B visa comes as the Republican-controlled Congress has allowed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to import potentially 130,000 foreign workers for the big business lobby. Trump, in signing the spending measure, gives DHS the authority to import more foreign workers, should DHS Secretary Nielsen choose to do so.

Nielsen, who worked for former President George W. Bush, has already suggested that she will allow big business to import more foreign workers, as Breitbart News reported.

“The concept of limitations on H-2B [visas] originally were to protect American workers,” Nielsen said weeks ago. “If, however, we are in a situation where the way in which we administer the program, legally, actually puts American businesses out of business, that clearly is not the intent.”

If the H-2B visa is expanded this year by Trump’s DHS, it will be the second year in a row that the Trump administration imported more seasonal foreign workers despite his “Buy American, Hire American” agenda.

As Breitbart News has reported, the H-2B visa — like other mass migration programs that import foreign workers to take U.S. jobs — has contributed to stagnant and even reduced wages for America’s working class.

Analysis of the H-2B visa and its impact on U.S. wages reveals the gap between what foreign workers are offered for U.S. jobs versus what Americans are paid to do the same work.

Overall, in eight of the ten occupations analyzed, where H-2B foreign workers are brought to the U.S., employers offered the foreign workers lower wages, further solidifying pro-American workers’ groups claims that foreign worker visa programs are used by businesses to import and outsource U.S. jobs to a cheaper, foreign workforce.

  • H-2B foreign workers in landscaping were offered nearly 7.5 percent less pay
  • H-2B foreign workers in forest and conservation jobs were offered nearly 24 percent less pay
  • H-2B foreign workers in housekeeping jobs were offered nearly 6 percent less pay
  • H-2B foreign workers in recreation jobs were offered nearly 14 percent less pay
  • H-2B foreign workers in meat and fish cutting jobs were offered nearly 19 percent less pay
  • H-2B foreign workers in construction were offered more than 20 percent less pay
  • H-2B foreign workers in counter attending jobs were offered more than 6 percent less pay
  • H-2B foreign workers in labor and moving jobs were offered nearly 4 percent less pay

Further research by the Economic Policy Institute has shown how wages in the top 15 H-2B jobs in the U.S. have been stagnant or slightly decreased over the last decade, as Breitbart News reported.

This is acceptable solution to an ongoing issue of allowing small farms to be manageble and profitable. If a guy can utilize affordable labor to make more money for his farm then great.

No. We let em in to pick crops, and then we pay through the ass to school their kids, pay for the aftermath of their car accidents and emergency room visits. I’d rather pay more for strawberries.

We’ve always used migrants workers for harvest season, it was customary prior to NAFTA for them to return to their own little farms in Mexico after the harvest is done.

I assume his statement was met with the sound of crickets. Fucking idiot. Now he’s saying he’ll shut down the government if congress doesn’t fund the Wall. Right. Because the last five opportunities he’s had to do that weren’t the right time, I guess.

I’ve been saying for nearly two years that Trump is a poser, a POS lying, Jesuit trained freemason, who will orchestrate the final curtain call on the Hegelian dialectic drama that is Americu, the Land of the Plumbed Serpent.

That 20% unemployment is why unemployment and food stamp claims are setting record highs and wages have fallen almost 50% since Trump took office.

There are now tens of millions of unemployed workers living in homeless camps, something that has never been seen before.

Iska, if you had a good grasp of The Art of The Deal, you would know the Wall is merely a negotiating tool. It is a mandate he can deploy when shit is not going his way. It’s an adaptation of Uncle Ronnie’s trick of taking the issue to the people when the congress was being recalcitrant, a tactic that earned him the moniker – The Great Communicator. The Wall is never going to get built anymore than the Democrats are really going to propose or pass an immigration reform bill. It’s all Pie in the Sky by and by. When you grow up, you will know these things are pure bullshit.

I still ask the question that no answer has come : Make America Great Again ? By Who and With What ??? No heavy industry no trained people to do the heavy industrial lifting ??? Now What ? Guest workers for the food chain , an act of desperation indeed !

Boat – there is plenty of heayy industry in the US: cars, trucks, airplanes, ships, warfare, mining, oil and gas, steel making, tools, etc.

The issue is that they do not require very many employees anymore. And they never will again.

End all welfare, reform entitlements with a transition to eliminating them (pick an age 45, 50 whatever) and end all unemployment etc. Put the Federal budget back on a long term financial positive footing….and then we can talk about importing more turd worlders. I bet there will be Americans crawling all over the jobs once they are off the couch….currently 95M working age folks are not in the workforce….let’s say 50M go back to work….that would be an economic stimulus! Its all a scam but the can kicking time is coming to an end……

There is a good reason so many are not working. Corporate policies keep many out and the IRS keep many more out.

Government wants to control the job market but is a dismal failure. The government has regulated private business practically out of business. I do not consider corporate business as private. It is public the same as government. Ending entitlements and welfare will not increase employment. It will increase suffering.

Everyone knows government is the problem. Want more employment and less welfare? Then reduce the size and scope of government. Until then don’t talk about eliminating welfare and entitlement programs. Ya’ll must think prosperity grows with government. it doesn’t. In this country poverty grows with government.

It seems inescapable that Western Civilization or what Western Civilization has become must totally crash before it can be purged, reformed and rebuilt…assuming this will happen at all. The fall of the western Roman Empire in the fifth century was followed by the Dark Ages that last for over 500 years before there was a Renaissance in the 14th century. Rome, which had a population of 1-1.5 million people was left with 20,000-30,000 people living among the ruins. Presumably, the people who survived fled the cities to the country side and lived by subsistence farming. The good news in the case of Rome is that this civilization was replaced by high-IQ Germanic tribes from the north who ultimately built Western Civilization. However, in the case of Europe and North America, the Europeans are being replaced by low-IQ people from Africa and the Middle East in the case of Europe and Latinos in the case of North America. If this is allowed to continue, there will be no rebirth because these people are incapable of producing a Greek, Roman or Western civilization. Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen in their ground-breaking book “IQ and the Wealth of Nations” estimated that an average IQ of 90 is required at a minimum to sustain Western Civilization. This cut-off would exclude most of Latin America, all of Africa, almost all of the Middle East, India, Pakistan and all of southeast Asia which is where the global population is growing rapidly and is now the main source immigrants to western countries. What we are looking at is retrogressive evolution on an accelerating scale…or, put another way, a race to the bottom of the gene pool. There is not a day that goes by when I don’t think about the world we are leaving to our children and their children.

Use to be high school and college kids (ok…just the males) would work seasonally on farms. Not any more. In some respects you wouldn’t want them to. Too many are medicated. Pot and psych meds makes their response times slow. You wouldn’t want that working around expensive farm equipment. It makes meth heads and opioid addicts would be preferable. Yeah….not really. None of that is taking into how soft males are today. Even those obsessed with the gym are sissys when it comes to physical labor.

So who’s left for farm work but migrants? Soccer moms? Ha! Prisoners? Yikes! Retirees? Wait a second on that…most farmers are over 55.

Americans really need to get their individual acts together. I know the horrors of that concept. Starts at home, and ends with blowing up the schools and psychiatry. Maybe even doing a Rodrigo Duterte on the poor itsy bitsy drug dealers. However shuttering businesses due to lack of capable employees isn’t the answer.
