HANOVER, Md. (WJZ) — Police took two suspects into custody following a fight involving more than 20 people at the Arundel Mills Mall food court that reportedly started after a problem with a Burger King order.
Anne Arundel County Police were called just after 7 p.m. on Sunday about a large fight at the mall.
Officers met with mall security, who had two people in custody. According to the police report, one of the suspects, Rashdee Mumuni, was shirtless and screaming racial slurs at one of the security officers when officers arrived.

Police say Nykeisha Jones was seen “wildly” swinging and chasing someone. She has been charged with assault and disorderly conduct.
Officers were told that Jones was upset about the food order, and Mumuni then picked up a chair and threatened to hit a Burger King employee with it.
When a security officer tried to restrain her, Jones reportedly kicked him and tried to hit him. The security officer then forced her to the ground and tried to handcuff her, but then released her as Jones’ friends started to surround them.
Jones is also accused of spitting on the security officer as he tried to take her into custody.
Mumuni was issued a citation for disorderly conduct, while Jones was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

I haven’t been in a mall in years. I lived in Northern Virginia in the 90’s and watched as the malls were turned into living rooms for the great unwashed. At one point they were bussing them out of DC into NVA for the day. It was perfect…air conditioned, rest rooms, the food courts and all that exercise!

Its only a recessive disorder. Those who are only carriers, are actually immune to malaria. Those who have the gene from both parents have the disorder. So if two carriers breed (I won’t bother to say marry as that never happens), only 25% of their chilllren will have the disease, 50% will be carriers, and 25% will be fully free of the gene.

It’s a pity, AMM (Arundel Mills Mall – opened in 2000) used to be a decent mall, despite its proximity to Baltimore. It’s also the largest in the state of Maryland. I trusted my upper-teen kids to go there unescorted. After a few years, the “vibrant” folks started showing up in busses. End of the honeymoon…fights, carjackings, lots of thefts, intimidation. Had to put it on the: “You’re not going there unless Dad goes” list. That prevented problems, but still plenty of side-glances and “bracings” where too-brave bucks tried to not step out of my way. Getting dangerous…so I started carrying some extra protection, despite state law – – me and my kids were going to survive, regardless. Finally had to put it on the “No-go” list, but the then-wife and the kids understood, they have eyes, too.
Maryland Live! Casino was opened in phases starting 2012. It’s close enough to the AMM that the worst of the problems slough from one to the other, without fail. It didn’t cause the problems, but it certainly made them worse.
Finally moved out of Maryland in 2014, one of the happiest days of my life.
