Are you a psychopath?

10. Civil servant

10. Civil servantYouTube

Being a civil servant is the 10th most popular career choice for psychopaths, according to Dutton. In fact, in 2014, UK Government officials considered recruiting psychopaths specifically “to keep order,” because they are “very good in crises” and have “no feelings for others, nor moral code, and tend to be very intelligent and logical.”

9. Chef

Most psychopaths have no interest in harming others, so don’t worry about the fact chefs have access to open flames and knives during their work day. Psychopaths thrive in chaos where other people may fail, which could be one reason they work so well in a hectic kitchen.

8. Clergy person

In a blog post for Psychology Today, FBI veteran Joe Navarro explains some of the reasons psychopathic people may go for a career in the Clergy. Among them are the fact religious organisations may provide a means for people to exploit others, while also giving legitimacy to their actions. Also, it is easy to make alliances, which can give manipulative people the upper hand in gaining access to sensitive information.

7. Police officer

Psychopaths don’t necessarily have ulterior motives. One of their traits is being very cool-headed under stress. Police officers have a highly intense and dangerous job, so it’s a huge benefit if you are calm in a crisis. This could be a reason law enforcement is a popular career choice for psychopaths.

6. Journalist

6. JournalistAlex Wong/Getty Images

Dutton lists some of the traits of psychopaths as charm, focus, mindfulness, ruthlessness, and action — which are all advantageous in journalism, especially when you have strict deadlines and you have to get answers from sources.

5. Surgeon

5. Surgeonlenetstan/Shutterstock

One study, published in the journal The Bulletin of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, sought to find out whether surgeons really were likely to be psychopaths. Results showed that consultants at teaching hospitals scored higher on a scale of psychopathic personality than district general hospital consultants, who scored higher than the general population. Possible reasons the authors give in their discussion is that “stress immunity is the overriding personality trait of doctors,” and the fact surgeons have to make quick, difficult decisions every day.

4. Salesperson

psychopathic person who works in sales probably shows traits such as shameless self promotion, stealing other people’s contacts, a relentless desire to earn the most money, and an inability to be a team player. Depending on how your organisation works, this could either be your worst nightmare, or the dream sales candidate.

3. Media person in TV or radio

3. Media person in TV or radioDreamWorks

Some psychopaths also exhibit narcissism, which is arguably useful in a job that requires a lot of public focus. The popularity of this career choice for psychopaths could also be because being a TV anchor or radio personality also requires you to be calm in the face of pressure.

2. Lawyer

2. LawyerLionsgate

In “Confessions of a Sociopath: A Life Spent Hiding In Plain Sight,” author M. E. Thomas, a self-proclaimed sociopath, claims being a sociopath helped her be a better attorney. In a blog post for Psychology Today, attorney Ruth Lee Johnson says that although psychopathic traits like self-confidence, cold-heartedness, and deceitful charm may be handy for lawyers, it’s simplistic to say these traits alone are enough. In the right context, though, they could make someone very formidable.

1. CEO

Psychopaths have something called a “resilience to chaos.” This doesn’t just mean they keep a cool head under stress — they also sometimes create havoc for everyone else, because it makes them look good when everyone around them is struggling. Some psychopaths may use this method to climb the career ladder all the way to the top. Others aren’t necessarily as manipulative, and reach the top through their skills alone

This seems like a really weak version of previous intelligent articles posted here. It felt like a top 10 you would read in a Maxim. Then I saw it was linked from Business Insider. Was the original one of those cheezy slideshows you see on Yahoo? For all the pictures and verbose descriptions, I think it could have been reduced to Fortune Cookie length and lost nothing in the translation.
I bet it was written by a member of the Menial Generation. I’ve started calling them Menials, since that’s about all the work they’re going to find in this day and age.
Looking at this crap article, I can’t help thinking the Menials will find their own version of Mark Twain and this “brilliant” man will be writing his “works” on Twitter. Don’t expect “The Corruption of Hadleyburg” from him, but he might write a great Yelp! review for the latest Lesbian Sushi and Coffee Revolutionary anti-CISMale Fyminist Freedom Cafe.

Funny, but I thought several categories were spot on as per my own experience with psychos. CEO’s, salesmen, lawyers, cops, and preachers ones I’m familiar with. Not a pretty sight. The bastards are clever and will spring on you at the worst of times.

As far as “menials” not getting white-collar jobs, why not check out what the colleges are graduating? Coders by the boatload. Not exactly menial. A lot of millennials are going into business for themselves as well. Good on them.

I don’t disagree with the info, just how it was presented. If you’ve been reading here for a while, you should have seen this info at least once in better-written articles. The general idea has been floating around in the alternative media and, more recently, in the lamestream, for several years.
I called them Menials by accident a while back and it seems to fit a whole lot better. There might be a few who are coders and whatnot, but as a generation who went to college and generally chased useless humanities degrees and ended up on their mom’s couch or driving uber and pouring coffee for others, I think Menials fits them better.
I don’t wish it on them, it’s just what they’ve done/settled for. Also, if you look it up, the most popular majors in general are in Visual Arts/Entertainment and Business. Hard sciences are flat or down and computer sciences have declined since their peak in the 1980s.

You needed to add a few more to your psychopath list.
(1) Do you write articles on the web for instance such as the burning platform? If so you may be developing a “Messiah complex”. Afterall, what makes you any better than the lowliest dirtbag politician? Well, nothing but otherwise being elected or not.
(2) People who espouse their own brand of societal couture view of the modern utopia that exists only in their fertile imagination. Frankly, people who think they know everything really piss the rest of us off who actually do. Sorry for the vulgarity. I should not have done so but I always wanted to say that.
(3) If it is not in the Bible, then it is suspect.

Psychopaths are intelligent? Wrong use of the word. Intelligence comes from the intellect. The intellect is a spiritual faculty. It contemplates the spiritual world. For example values like faith, love and hope are spiritual qualities that are realized without sensation. This is the realm of the intellect.

Psychopaths are at the bottom of the latter of human development over the animals. They are material in a material world. They live in a world of sensation to perception to reasoning. They have no feelings when hunting their pray just like an animal has no feelings when hunting their pray. Their world is sensation only.

Unfortunately they have a developed human brain from education but their motives come from cunning; not the intellect. Cunning is an animal trait. They have no sense of values; spiritual values. They do well as lawyers and judges practicing administrative law because this form of law deals in facts not values.

Psychopaths are spiritually dead but use religion as a smoke screen as part of their cunning.

Why do we have psychopaths in our society? That I don’t know. But it tells me that man has different degrees of development. The psychopaths at the lowest level and the Saints at the highest level with all the rest of us in between. This is why equality is an ideal rather than a reality. A confusing concept to those who think equality can be legislated and can’t figure out why it is not working.

We live in an upside down world and all we can do is make the best of it.

I disagree. I believe spirituality and intellect are different animals. Intellect is the ability of the mind to make conclusions about reality and solve problems and is considered an aspect of intelligence entirely separate from emotion and spirituality. You can be a first-class intellect and absolutely devoid of emotion, or an over-emotional liberal with nary a whit of intellect or reasoning ability.

PSYCHOPATHIC
1. Noun
A person with a psychopathic personality, which manifests as amoral and antisocial behavior, lack of ability to love or establish meaningful personal relationships, extreme egocentricity, failure to learn from experience, etc.

2. psy-cho-path in Medicine
A person with an antisocial personality disorder, especially one manifested in perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior.

3. psy-cho-path in Culture
A mentally unbalanced person who is inclined toward antisocial and criminal behavior.

I’ve known one true…no doubt…100%, cold as a snake, evil, deadly, psychopath:

– He was my first M-60 Machine Gun Team Leader (I was the Gunner) in Nam

– The first words he ever said to me when we were alone were: “If you ever run or refuse an order from me in a fire fight I’ll kill you myself.”

– He got away with at least two murders that I know of but no one could ever prove (one Vietnamese and one Marine) probably more as he was in-country 6 months before me.

– He was the only Marine I know of in my Company who killed an NVA hand to hand.

– He came from a large family and never, ever, got one single letter from home…including not one from either of his parents. During mail call he would sulk and brood.

– He was worth four Marines in a firefight.

– He didn’t smoke or drink and didn’t have one buddy the 6 months I was around him.

– We had a Mexican standoff once in the bush…I cursed him out and got the drop on him with a .45…I was in my fourth month…I had become gungy and had had enough of him…we came within seconds of shooting one another. He backed off…first. By that time he knew I was capable of pulling the trigger.

– After that he was the only person I ever thought of murdering…for two reasons:
1. Save my life
2. Do the world a favor

He was transferred to another platoon and then rotated home, that probably saved one of our lives…probably mine.

I know his full name and where he was raised. He does not exist on the internet – nothing – no records of him exist anywhere.

“Psychopaths Thrive in War”
I heard a lecture by an Army psychologist who contended that after 90 days of combat, the casualty rate was 98 percent. Those not wounded physically were wounded psychologically. The other 2 percent were psychopaths.

@gilberts: Read the book “Intellect, Mind over Matter” by Mortimer J. Adler, Chairman of the Board of Editors of the Encyclopedia Britannica, Director of the Institute for Philosophical Research, and Honorary Trustee of the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies, for a clear understanding of the Intellect. Then read “The Philokadia” compiled by St Nikodimos of the Holy Mountain and St Makarios of Corinth for a clear understanding of how the monks used the intellect for their search into the spiritual realm.

sociopath
written by MR.MR , April 18, 2018

Concentrated wealth is always self-destructing.
The original founder of the wealth will die in 60-70 years.
His or her descendants will squander the money over another 60-70 years then look for ways to gain it back.

So about 120-140 years the cycle repeats.

Example:
The United States civil war started the year 1861 it was not about slavery it was about wealth.
The south was based on agriculture, self-renewing systems of exports that were not controlled by intertied banking.

The north was based on industrial output for all exports hence subjected to intertied banking control.
American Revolutionary War was won in the year 1783 ___1861-1783= 78 years. No intertied banking control. Andrew Jackson did wipe out the central bank charter the first time.

Example:
World War I the United States is drawn into the war the year 1917 ___1917-1861= 56 years
World War II United States is drawn into the war the year 1941____1941-1917 = 24 years

Notice the Federal Reserve System charter in the year 1913.

Still in the sixty year cycle along with this World war cycle was a blueprint both combined equals 80 years.

United States is drawn into continuous war Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia, Middle East___ 2018-1950 = 68 years.

In every instance an engineered economic crash that has not gone as anticipated.
We the new crop of intertied banking control people which is the same type of recruits or family ‘sociopaths’.

Like this description: In the BBC series Sherlock Holmes, Holmes pronounces to Watson that he is a ‘I’m not a psychopath, I’m a high functioning sociopath, do your research’.

Any throttle on a sociopath for power, money like a gold standard for money will not be tolerated.

Just look at the current world leaders all are sociopath’s. The intertied banking control groups are sociopath’s.

It is going to get ugly and very brutal for sane human beings on our planet.
