QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Whether the mask is labeled fascism, democracy, or dictatorship of the proletariat, our great adversary remains the apparatus— the bureaucracy, the police, the military– the one that calls itself our protector and makes us its slaves. No matter what the circumstances, the worst betrayal will always be to subordinate ourselves to this apparatus and to trample underfoot, in its service, all human values in ourselves and in others.”

Simone Weil, Reflections on War, 1933

The debt doesn’t matter. Because we owe it to ourselves. Put on your Guffawks mask. & dismember, dismember the fifth of November.

Whichever labile authoritarian label-mask (including “culture”) feels right at any given moment, the betrayal is to subordinate myself, or yourself, to the apparatus referred to as “ourselves.”

Wobbling weebles defines itself by its biggest defect: it doesn’t want to know what it owes, or what its callowness costs :: denial ::: punk•ass, whose your daddy, bitchism.
