“An economist is an expert who will know tomorrow why the things he predicted yesterday didn’t happen today.”
Laurence J. Peter
“The job of the Federal Reserve is ‘to know when to remove the punch bowl at the party.’ Under Alan Greenspan’s leadership its motto became let’s all get drunk and see what happens.”
Said Elias Dawlabani
“I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a Constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the Constitution of South Africa, it embraced basic human rights.”
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
The Ginsberg quote is truly frightening when you think about it.
In light of what’s about to transpire in SA, that comment (if real) can come back to bite RBG really hard. Not that the socialists would care, anyway.
In other words, don’t give up your guns anytime soon.
Nah, she’d just rationalize it, like SA’s “right to life” does not include/prevent abortion.
since you mentioned abortion grog,i’ll put this here–ginsburg was a big atty in the feminist/abortion movement–
in order to fire up the base to oppose kavanaugh’s being confirmed, naral has come out with abortion themed ice cream such as rocky roe v wade, etc–
sick–

Speaking of sick TR, have you seen this?
If I were setting up a Constitution in 2018 I have a clause to hang Supreme Court Justices like Ginshag who use other forms of government/ political thought to form legal opinions .
buckhed,
do you remember a few years ago when the supremes were openly using law & beliefs from other countries to interpret our laws —
they should have immediately been impeached but i don’t remember a single republican introducing articles of impeachment, much less any dems–
One has to realize that the Supreme Court does not just rule on Constitutional Law. In fact it hardly ever rules on constitutional law. It mostly rules on Administrative Law which was created as the law of the land in the 20th century. Administrative Law; as I have come to see in my studies of this law, is rooted in the Uniform Commercial Code UCC which is accepted internationally. The UCC is contract law. Is is the law of the sea.
Thunderbird,
Thank you! When I first learned about the UCC , let me tell you about the stages of grief!
Man!
Anger, felt like I had been betrayed by the public education system, I was angry that the older generations didn’t teach me this! Later realised that most Americans were ignorant to this system just like I was…
Denial crept in because I felt like a voice in the wilderness, very few people had learned what I was learning at the time, doubt crept back in because of this denial that it couldn’t be like this…
Really hit home when the family court documents for my court ordered shared custody quoted aspects of the UCC at the bottom of the documents…
Bouts of sadness came with the realisation that the problems are soo epicly fucked and intertwined that even if trying to decouple from the global UCC admiralty law system, would create so much turmoil and suffering, it was so beyond fixing…
Talk about becoming a realist.
Thank you for spreading Truth no matter how inconvenient or uncomfortable it might be to other’s incomplete worldviews.
Think about this… if all the people were to learn the UCC our Justice system would be in trouble. Their gig would be up. As it is now because of the people’s lack of understanding of administrative law the judges and their servants of the court (lawyers) are able to fool most of the people most of the time.

Reading your posts I think we are on the same page with many subjects. My intent in these posts is to get people to question their assumptions about what is going on in the world around them.
Our greatest downfall is our suggestibility. We take for granted what we are told or taught in school is the truth. It is far from it. We truly live in a world of fiction and lies.
I really believe man was created for a greater function in this universe than living in the world as slaves to our animal desires. When we get a certain amount of enlightenment from our own curious investigation of our self and the world we live in it is difficult to wake others up. I guess that is the price we pay for leaving the flock like Johnathon Livingston Seagull.
I enjoy reading your posts. At least I know I am not alone.
