Actually we’ve traded liberty for danger and vulnerability as well as poverty. Authoritarian, repressive governments are always parasitic and ultimately weaken the societies over which they rule. The US has been in a rapid downward spiral ever since the events of 9/11 were used as pretext to dismantle the Constitution. A government that covers up treason and fraud is illegitimate. In my view subverting the Constitution in order exploit the population is treasonous. Even if one believes the “official”, scientifically impossible account of 9/1, how can one possibly justify the recent wholesale abandonment of the separation of powers which is at the heart of the Constitution?

I just watched a live interview on CNBC with the CEO of Starwood Hotels, a $10 billion dollar company whose stock is up about five fold since the 2008 stock market turbulence.
The CEO explained that Starwood moved their headquarters to Shanghai this past summer. He said they currently have 30,000 associates (employees ) in China, and they expect that within five years they will have 90,000 associates in China. They also have properties elsewhere worldwide.
He said that China has 170 cities with over 1 million people and that Starwood has barely scratched the surface in that country.
Obviously, he is one of the fools at odds with genius shortseller Jim Chanos.
