New Satellite Imagery Shows Hundreds Of Russian Battle Tanks Amassing On Ukraine Border

Via ZeroHedge

Ukraine’s president has recently warned Russian tanks are amassing along the border between the two countries amid increasing tensions. The comments came late last month after three Ukrainian naval boats were seized in the Kerch Strait by Russia.

President Petro Poroshenko has allegedly shown images of what he claims to be hundreds of tanks preparing for an invasion.

He told Sky News:

“This is the tank base just 18km from our border, this was happening in September, October, and now.”

“This is 18km from my border, this is the same warehouse where they have their ammunition, the same where they have multi-rocket launch systems, we should be prepared to protect my country.”

Satellite imagery from Google Earth taken sometime in November from the Defense Blog has verified Poroshenko claims. Photos show hundreds of Russian main battle tanks at a new military installation in the Kamensk-Shakhtinsky region.

The Russian base is about 18 kilometers (11.1 miles) away from the rebel-held territory in eastern Ukraine. Images show hundreds of main battle tanks, with thousands of military trucks, support systems, artillery pieces, tankers, and troop transport vehicles.

Russia has been quietly building up its forces near the border with Ukraine since late summer and now has a military force greater than 2014, the year Moscow annexed Crimea, Viktor Muzhenko, the commander of Ukrainian armed forces, told Reuters in an interview last week.

https://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/inline-images/tank%20line.jpg?itok=tH2qugyL

“In front of us is an aggressor who has no legal, moral or any other limits,” he said. “It is very difficult to predict when it will occur to him to begin active combat actions against Ukraine.”

“This (the Kerch Strait incident) was an act of aggression from regular forces, the border service (of the Russian Federation) in relation to the Ukrainian armed forces,” Muzhenko added.

Eric Zuesse via The Strategic Culture Foundation, made a great point in October that Washington is now treating Ukraine as if it were a NATO member, donating warships and military equipment to the country for use against Russia. This is the latest indication that America’s military-industrial complex is shifting to Ukraine as the epicenter to start World War III, and from which the nuclear war is to be sparked against Russia.

There is a reason why Russia is amassing hundreds of main battle tanks on the Ukranian border, that is because the next geopolitical flare-up is right around the corner, likely to occur during the next global recession.

One does NOT need a war to buy and use a lot of weaponry to support the leeches in the MIC and the Congress Critters. Shit, the weapons don’t even have to work very well.

American puppet state installed by Obama, medals over the fence Kerry and Victoria Nuland.

From Consortium News:

Exclusive: Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland engineered Ukraine’s “regime change” in early 2014 without weighing the likely chaos and consequences. Now, as neo-Nazis turn their guns on the government, it’s hard to see how anyone can clean up the mess that Nuland made, writes Robert Parry.

By Robert Parry

As the Ukrainian army squares off against ultra-right and neo-Nazi militias in the west and violence against ethnic Russians continues in the east, the obvious folly of the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy has come into focus even for many who tried to ignore the facts, or what you might call “the mess that Victoria Nuland made.”

Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs “Toria” Nuland was the “mastermind” behind the Feb. 22, 2014 “regime change” in Ukraine, plotting the overthrow of the democratically elected government of President Viktor Yanukovych while convincing the ever-gullible U.S. mainstream media that the coup wasn’t really a coup but a victory for “democracy.”

For some strange and unexplained reason it is ok for USA/NAto to set up shop on the Russian border, but if the Russians do the same, on their side, they are “aggressive”. Some f—-ed up logic.
And for the upteenth time, Russia did not annex Crimea.

From the Russian POV the loss of Ukraine was a geopolitical disaster. Akin to the entire west coast or Texas and Florida leaving the US. 45 million out of fewer than 200 million in the rump Soviet empire becoming an ‘independent’ nation. Putin made this bad situation even worse with his hamfisted attempts to keep Ukraine in the Russian orbit.

Prior to Putin’s interventions, Ukraine was split almost 50-50 between pro Russian and pro-Western political parties. Putin sent his GRU goons in to poison one pro Western presidential candidate so he could install a corrupt pro Russian one who fled when the going got tough. That left Ukraine in the hands of a pro Western president but Putin couldn’t accept that so he fomented an armed uprising in the Don Bass and annexed Crimea thus forever tilting Ukraine’s internal political balance in favor of the West and creating a large, hostile nation on Russia’s border.

It would be hard to imagine a stupider policy than what Putin cooked up in Ukraine.

Hmm…. it looks more like a mature depot than a Russian combat unit base. This is commercial imagery and doesn’t give the detail needed……..Just saying.

FWIW:
Remarkably detailed intel in kiev/us plan to attack separists, if it occurs, seems designed to draw Russia in.

The Ukrainians are faced with the choice of being utterly destroyed by Globohomogayplex ‘culture’ over time or subjugation by Russia.

Subjugation by Russia is probably the lesser of two evils.

Facts:

The UkoNazis HATE Russia.
Their Nazi-like president has an approval rating approaching single digits.
The election is less than 60 days away.

In this country of ours, or any other country on earth …. nothing will unite a people like a shared fear, a shared tragedy, a national emergency. Put 2+2 together people. This is ALL staged by the Ukie Nazis so they can remain in power. Ukie Nazis were praying daily that Russia WOULD fire on those three ships, and thus create a nightmare. But, Russian sensibilities prevailed.

Also, various factions of the Ukie Nazis have been threatening to blow up the Kirch bridge since before building it even began. That’s why Ukie ships must first ask permission to enter the Sea of Azov. That makes sense from every point of view. So, the Ukies knew damn well what they were doing when they sailed under that bridge with getting cleared first. But, yeah, the media ans USA (same thing) blames Russia.

So, the Ukie Nazi ploy did not work.

What will they do next? Well half the country is under Marshall Law now. And America is shipping the Ukies tons of advanced offensive armaments. Still, the leadership in that Nazi regime is desperate. This is a recipe for disaster.

How the fuck knows what they will do? Maybe the Ukie Nazis will even launch a chemical attack … and blame it on Russia.

Well, as noted in an article earlier this week, Russia IS running out of patience. If the Ukie Nazis cross a red line … and whatever that is for Putin, I do not know … but if it is crossed, lookout! Russia can, and will, literally dispatch Ukraine in less than 30 days. Push Russia too far, and unlike the USA, they simply don’t fuck around.

Lastly, I don’t think this will start WWIII. American warmongerfuks are real dumb, but not that dumb. Yet.

Oh, one more thing, the poster unit472 is the dumbest motherfucker on TBP regarding Russia. Don’t listen to him, ever. And thank you for voting down his dumb ass.

Good post, Stucky.
If and when the stupids decide to attack (Kiev/DC), Russia would prob be required to provide strong support. Then it becomes a matter of cannon fodder for the ukie grunts on the line, who are/were drafted by the stupids. I believe, based on the previous cauldrens (e.g. Debaltzov), that the separatists/Russians would give the grunts a chance to get the hell out of dodge and not die for the nazis in kiev. The last thing the Russians need (and separatists) would be a slaughter of the average ukie grunt who is there by force.

Amen, Brother!

They have been pounded for four years with rockets and arty, apts destroyed, living in cellers, kids shelled on the way to school, young women assaulted, on and on by the nazis that nuland and obama and biden put into power in Kiev.

On one hand, i would like to see any ukie attack force pounded like in previous cauldrens but on the other hand, I know it will be the lower rank grunts who would be the cannon fodder. If they are smart and the officers are asleep, they would be best served to get the hell out of an attacking force-the Russians will prob be a tad skitish about any military advancing towards its borders and they are masters at mass arty fire.
