Residents of New Jersey were given a deadline to turn in their gun magazines or become felons overnight, and so far, no one is complying.
Unless you’ve been under a rock lately, then you’ve likely seen the unprecedented push by all levels of government to separate law abiding Americans from their guns. No, this is not some conspiracy theory. The president himself ushered in a new level of gun control doing what his liberal predecessor even refused to do by banning bump stocks. However, as states across the country seek to limit the ability of innocent people to defend themselves, people are disobeying.
In May, Gov. Phil Murphy signed a law that reduced the maximum capacity of ammunition magazines from 15 rounds to 10. Citizens immediately sued the government, citing the unconstitutional nature of the ban, but they failed.
“New Jersey’s law reasonably fits the State’s interest in public safety and does not unconstitutionally burden the Second Amendment’s right to self-defense in the home,” the court wrote in their decision. “The law also does not violate the Fifth Amendment’s Takings Clause because it does not require gun owners to surrender their magazines but instead allows them to retain modified magazines or register firearms that have magazines that cannot be modified.”
AG Gurbir Grewal applauded the ruling on Twitter stating:
“This just in: for months, individuals have been challenging NJ’s limits on large capacity magazines—a sensible law to address mass shootings. Today, the court of appeals upheld the law. Big win for public safety and law enforcement safety!”
This month, citizens were given a December 11 deadline on their new ban on standard capacity magazines. The law effectively turned one million law abiding gun owners into criminals, literally over night if they failed to turn in the magazines.
Somehow, New Jersey lawmakers thought insane individuals who want to carry out mass shootings would be lining up to turn in their 15 round magazines as anyone caught with one of these banned magazines is now committing a fourth-degree felony. However, even the law abiding citizens are choosing to disobey—and that’s a good thing.
Obama knew a bumpstock ban was executive overreach, but Trump is doing it. Trying to wrap my head around this. The current administration was duped into this so Congress could avoid the whole discussion and pretend to support the 2nd Amdt. The WH needs better advisors.

According to Ammoland.com, who says they spoke with multiple police departments throughout the state, no one has turned in their magazines.
According to the report:
Two sources from within the State Police, who spoke to AmmoLand on condition of anonymity, told AmmoLand News that they both do not know of any magazines turned over to their agency and doubted that any were turned in. They also stated that the State Police also engaged the AG’s office for guidance on how to respond to inquiries such as ours. They were unaware if the Attorney General has returned to their request for guidance.
All the local police departments that AmmoLand contacted stated that they have not had any magazines turned into them.
AmmoLand has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with The New Jersey State Police to get an official count of the number of magazines turned in by New Jersey citizens. We will update the story if our FOIA request is fulfilled.
This act of disobedience is the only way that law-abiding citizens can effectively and peacefully fight back against the gun grabbers. And so far, it has been effective.
As TFTP has reported, we’ve seen similar acts of disobedience from other states like Illinois. In Effingham County, IL, the town board voted in April to order its employees not to enforce any laws that would “unconstitutionally restrict the Second Amendment” to the U.S. Constitution.
Effingham County State’s Attorney Bryan Kibler said the measure is meant to act as a warning shot to tell the state legislature that the county does not want unnecessary gun control measures, or for the sale of firearms to be jeopardized. The resolution states:
“The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms is guaranteed as an Individual Right under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and under the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and; the Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms for defense of Life, Liberty, and Property is regarded as an Inalienable Right by the People of Effingham County, Illinois, and the People of Effingham County, Illinois, derive economic benefit from all safe forms of firearms recreation, hunting, and shooting conducted within Effingham County using all types of firearms allowable under the United States Constitution.”
Board member David Campbell told Fox News that the county “decided it’s time for someone to take a hard stand.” Indeed, as we’ve noted time and again, rights are preserved and gained when good people make a stand and refuse to obey bad laws.
I plan to do the same thing when they come for the bit of gold I have. I’ll tell them to take a flying fuck at a rolling donut right before they lead me away in handcuffs and steal my gold.

I saw an article yesterday by Selco warning Americans to have and hide weapons and ammo that the government doesn’t know about and keep one gun legally that you can surrender to them when they arrive in front of your house with a swatt team armed with explosives and rocket launchers. I think it was on ZH.
Don’t belive me if you don’t want to but when it’s time, “They” will simply arrest your Mom or Daughter and notify you that due to over crowding in lock up they will soon have to transfer them to the Co-Ed dorm.
When the Central Government gives the local goon squads permission to subdue the populace you will understand why I call them Goon Squads. I watched it happen in Nam and we can use ISIS as a current example of how “They” will keep the population quiet. Anyone notice how, after ISIS took over a town that there was not even an ounce of resistance right up until they were liberated by the Syrians.
I wish someone could tell me If 1 million people can simply choose to disobey a law (unjust) in a nice little act of disobedience why can’t they get a million (now) felons to get a discussion and a petition together that states their favorite rights grabbing politician resign immediately or face the consequences of not supporting that CONSTITUTION they took an OATH to support protect and defend!!! I agree. The time has come in nj. When will we begin? I believe that the one issue in preventing an all out assult on Trenton is the local popo and more specifically the state (storm) troopers. I have nj cop friends, even a police chief. They only care that this law affects them, as well as the populus. They feel it is unsafe not to carry hi cap mags during their off hours, and heaven forbid they might need to use their guns without it. Yet dont get that civilians might also want to defend themselves. I wanted to eat the police chief alive, but it was a christmas party so i let it go. The hypocrisy is mindnumbing.

First I hate these vile , lying bastards who call themselves our representatives . This ban has nothing to do with school shootings or ” mass ” shootings of any kind. They are doing their best to make civilians defenseless . The only ones that will have 30 Rd mags will be the police and then criminals . They know it. Nobody turned in any high-cap magazines? Not even any NJ coppers or legislators, many of whom are guaranteed to own at least a couple of guns, especially (I would venture to guess) a double stack semi auto pistol or two. Probably a few also own AK or AR variants, whre 30 round mags are the coin of the realm.
Are we to believe that NJ passed a law that not even the law enforcement officers and legislators are willing to follow? Shouldn’t they start enforcement with this crowd? How can a cop arrest someone for a crime he is in the act of committing himself?

The NJ law is unique in that it does not allow an officer to carry a high cap off duty. If he uses his service pistol after hours he must use a different magazine. Really stupid law from really stupid f’ers.

He couldn’t give a flying f*ck if the law was enforceable as long as it is on the books. Now that he’s screwing the off-duty cops along with the rest of the citizens of NJ will the unions speak up? The real way this law will be enforced is through traffic stops, family domestic complaints, or through asset forfeiture.

I mentioned this somewhat above. Trump added tracked vehicles, fully automatics and 50 caliber to the NDAA. He also says take the guns first then due process. This one is serious, because everything can be labeled extremist, mental illness look at OBAMA’S list of 72. Then ask yourself which one of these terrorist designations won’t fit a mental illness. If you hang out places like TBP, I would guess you rate 1/3 to 1/2 of all the designations of a terrorist. Banning bump stocks wasn’t much more than a cold hard slap in the face. I know very little about bumpstocks, but I do know the Government according to the CONSTITUTION should not be better armed than the people. Trump isn’t saying these people are violating their oath of office.
After going back and looking at the title of this article, it doesn’t seem like a FU to me, because they aren’t wanting heads, they are just not complying as a group, only to be picked off separately. Everyone with CCW will stop carrying if their magazines are too big. NJ needs to demand heads!!
Bump stocks are a toy. They aren’t firearms. They have nothing to do with the Second Amendment. I don’t care either way, make your case about why they should be legal. But it’s not a constitutional issue.
It is because bump stocks are not regulated by law, yet here we have a regulation…If they can do that, they can do anything.
Our club banned them because idiots can’t control them and were spraying stands and chipping concrete pads etc. with them and a couple of idiots wound up dumping magazines over the berms landing in fields a mile away and fun stuff like that. ATF considers them a mechanical adaptation enhancing the cyclic fire rate. It alters the operation of the trigger sear, which is where the issue lies. A high rate of fire can be achieved manually on an AR-15 without a bumpstock by a modified stance and trigger hold with some custom triggers.
I’ve seen it with revolvers emptied in under a second, let alone AR that provide a larger volume of fire.

It absolutely forces someone to go to extraordinary lengths to register as a class 3 weapon, pay massive fees, and be held to extremely strict registration, storage, accounting, compliance and warrantless searches by the ATF at anytime they choose. This is another attempt to allow warrantless searches and registration of all gun owners.
