What a great posting. Am saving this to show my children.
Took them down to Isle Of Palms to see the total eclispe of the sun in 2017. Stood out on the beach along with about twenty thosusand others for the several hours of finally arriving at the total blackout. Took a quick photo that when got back home and loaded on computer it showed hundreds if not thousands of cell phone screens glowing. Instead of basking in a once in maybe a lifetime event, these people looking at their phone screen views instead of the real thing.
Cell phones, in my opinion, have killed more minds and human productivity than firearms have killed people. A person can’t walk into a store, drive down a road, sit in a lobby, sit in a park, dine out or drive on a road without seeing most of the individuals mesmerized by these so called tools. It is in my opinion an addiction equal to any other drug out there. Cell phones have made zombies of our cultures. The cell phone used as a tool is a great thing. Individuals with what I would call “evil intent” have turned it into a tool of control and corruption. Now they want us to give into AI. Sorta makes one think we have climbed into the cattle cars on our way to the showers.
Had the same experience at a concert that Boston gave here. Sad, sad, sad on many levels. Sigh.
