Putin Says Multiculturalism is “No Longer Tenable”

Guest Post by Paul Joseph Watson

“The liberal idea has become obsolete”.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says that liberalism has “outlived its purpose” and that multiculturalism is “no longer tenable”.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Putin explained what had caused the rise of the “Trump phenomenon” in the United States as well as the success of right-wing populist parties throughout Europe.

“The ruling elites have broken away from the people,” he said, adding that the “so-called liberal idea has outlived its purpose” and some western leaders had acknowledged that “multiculturalism” is “no longer tenable”.

“[Liberals] cannot simply dictate anything to anyone just like they have been attempting to do over the recent decades,” said the Russian President, branding Angela Merkel’s decision to allow over a million migrants to enter Germany as part of the refugee wave a “cardinal mistake”.

“This liberal idea presupposes that nothing needs to be done. That migrants can kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights as migrants have to be protected,” said Putin.

He added: “Every crime must have its punishment. The liberal idea has become obsolete. It has come into conflict with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population.”

While Putin’s comments have caused consternation amongst western liberal elites, they are not far removed from remarks made public yesterday by the Dalai Lama.

The spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists told the BBC he did not want to see Europe become “Muslim” or “African,” asserting that most “refugees” should be returned home in order to “keep Europe for Europeans”.

Today’s Democrats are the true Communists and Vlad is more like George Washington; things have come full circle.

Guess which one ends up going to an Ivy League university?

For multiculturalism to work, people would necessarily need to be generally the same in capability. This is not the reality.

If your societal structure requires reality to conform to your fantasy, you’re going to have a bad time.

As an avowed politician hater it goes against my grain to say: I wish we had him. Putin is a fucking mensch. Unlike trump who has the proverbial alligator’s mouth and hummingbird’s ass Putin gets it done.

Putin speaks truth. The question remains, then, why Russia is so economically depressed. A few answers jump to mind: 70 years of communism, continual targeting by the Zio-cons, etc. Still, there seems to be something in the Russian character that allows a debilitating level of corruption. In all international indices of crime and corruption, Russia stands in contrast to other white countries. You can’t build wealth with that much crime and corruption. Is it a genetic remnant of the sweep of Genghis Khan? Does it stem from unfair treatment by Western Christendom? Does it come from having to deal with foreign, often Muslim neighbors (including the Tatars)? Is their culture insufficiently homogenous to allow a cooperative culture to thrive? How much does alcoholism and self-pity afflict them? If they could develop a national shame at the idea of corruption, they would probably have more economic success, but the challenge is to encourage that cooperative spirit of the Nordics without also developing the love of foreigners over self that is causing the Nordics to allow the destruction of their own countries.

From what I’ve read the alcoholism rate is horrendous. Has to figure very high among reasons.

” …. why Russia is so economically depressed.”

Look up Country GDP rankings. Russia ranks anywhere from 9th to 12th largest economies.

“After three years of sanctions, we could conclude in the 2017 report that Russia had emerged through them stronger than ever. Without hesitation we applauded Russia for having achieved the unprecedented role of a quadruple superpower: industrial superpower, agricultural superpower, military superpower and geopolitical superpower.”

And don’t forget, Russia has virtually ZERO long term debt. Perhaps you meant “…. why is AMERICA so economically depressed”?

You’re just being dense Stucky. Russia has two wealthy cities with parts that gleam and glitter, and virtually everything else is a dump resembling the bad parts of Detroit and LA. Yeah, the American kettle is pretty black too, but Russia is no Switzerland.

It’s easy to see how communism made Russia a shitshow, and the 10 years following under Yeltsin and robber barons wasn’t much better. But Putin Inc. has had almost 20 years now. He’s done better than anyone before, but despite vast natural resources it is nothing like the success story of Czechia or China in the same period of time. Iska’s question is valid – why doesn’t Russia do better with what seems to be a wealth of resources?

He (Putin) is not trying to run his country like a western colony, and selling off the long term riches for short term financing. he is avoiding debt and building capital . that should continue slowly until a sufficient mass is reached.

When Putin took over he was up against the oligarchs/robber barons and the Russian mafia, who were pretty much running the show. The Russian military was falling apart. He deserves some credit for bringing his country back onto the world stage. Russians are no better nor no worse than any other collection of caucasians. They have evolved in a harsh climate and suffered under totalitarian rule for many, many generations. They are survivors. Given time and patience I think they will prosper and very possibly deter the crazies running our current show.

I don’t know about Czechia (?) but wasn’t China gifted with “Most Favored Nation” trading status and had western corporations swarm in, build factories, hire local workers, and share technology while Russia continues to be treated as an enemy? Not to mention sanctions… except for the rocket motors we buy from them to push our satellites into orbit.

Yeah, even as I wrote that, Stucky, I wasn’t sure it was true – especially from a purchasing power parity point of view. And I’m not sure that our nominally higher per capita GDP gets spent on anything worthwhile. So Russians don’t buy kombucha. Big deal.

Don’t believe everything you read. Russia is rising as far as it’s economy.

It’s sad when a former KGB director leading Russia makes more sense than all the (20 or so) Democratic candidates for President.
It’s going to be painful if any of the 20 gets what they are aiming for.

Putin is da man….. I don’t care what flaws he may have, don’t we all, he is one of the very few in a leadership position of a major country today who gets it…. Doesn’t break the connection or conscious of what the common man endures in a day to day life. At this point I would rather be invaded by Russia than anyone else any day of the week……

Putin is unequivocally correct. America has always been multi-ethnic, NEVER multi-cultural. Tacos are a major part of American culture, as is Sukiyaki and Chateau Briand – and Lowenbrau – or whatever.
