Loving the tennis racket idea. I spoke to a woman from Beijing. She said Hong Kong are crybabies. They get everything from China yet they wave the American and British flags. She was visibly angry as she told me this.
That’s how propaganda works. They’ve only been part of China for twenty years.
Talked to a grad student (female Chinese) a few years back who said we were horrible to the Native Americans. I said we DID treat them badly, have been trying (somewhat) to make up for it with scholarships, job training and preferences, and so forth, but likely not there yet. Then I asked her about how the Chinese treated the Tibetans; to her, it was an entirely different issue, and that the Tibetans had benefited GREATLY from their Chinese overseers. I asked her if she’s ever met one that said so, and the conversation died.

This was the comment I came here to make- that is a badminton racket.

They have never heard of it in China. A true fact.
Actually you are close but off base. It was invented by Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek’s chef in Taiwan and came to the US in about 1971. Netflix has a documentary titled General Tso’s Chicken.
I stand corrected. But I would have to be snowed in for three days, with no books to read, before I would watch the Netflix documentary about it.
