Media Horrified By Lack Of Violence At Joker Screenings

Via The Babylon Bee

U.S.—Our nation’s intrepid journalists had been warning the country about the threat of the Joker movie and how it could encourage violence among disaffected white people and incels — the new greatest threat to mankind. And as reporters prepared for an onslaught of violence as Joker premiered over the weekend, they were horrified by what happened: absolutely no violence or anything worth reporting on whatsoever.

“We found one incident of a guy cheering too loudly at the fictional violence,” said CNN reporter Terrance Shelton, “but that was it. There was nothing. Absolutely nothing we can glom onto and spin into a hot take that reinforces The Narrative. I’m shaken to my core.”

Journalists have already been shaken by many attacks on the press. Much of this has come from President Trump, but a lot also from reality, which has specifically gone after many of their hyped predictions and disasters. “We had expert opinions saying that the Joker movie was just adding fuel to the fire with all that’s going on,” said New York Times writer Glenn Peterson. “And once again, reality has defied experts. That’s not right.”

Now that opinion writers’ fears have been disproven, the pundits whose predictions were completely wrong and who have demonstrated they have no grasp of how reality actually works are expecting the harshest punishment for such a journalistic failure: absolutely nothing.

I read the “spoiler” about the movie to make sure I hadn’t missed some deep philosophical treatment of society’s obsession with and descent into mental illness cleverly disguised. I don’t think I have missed much, but I will leave that to our more enlightened critics to elaborate on the background and character development/deterioration of Batman’s original nemesis.

Do you think a generation of young adults brought up on Anti-anxiety meds and ADHD meds are a little obsessed with mental illness and depression?

I’ve heard middle school-aged Jersey kids argue back and forth about their OD’ed dead or incarcerated fathers in real life. Drugs, violence, single motherhood, poverty …. ten minutes of listening would make a normal adult nauseous and longing for a mental time out. It’s their everyday life, how could they NOT be obsessed with abnormality?

I much prefer the Joker as portrayed by Cesar Romero.

Look closely and you’ll see EC …. er, Cesar’s mustache under the white makeup.
Oh, and one more thing … notice the bug-eyed crazy. Even if it’s acting the expression is the same.
Even though I loved Ledger’s Joker Wa-Keen has the act down pat because he’s already one step off the deep end in real life.

Adam West’s Batman TV show was fun and whimsical, unlike the very, very dark Batman movies made recently. Is it any wonder kids are shooting up unarmed people?

Now you know it is the guns doing that. (Shooting people.)

Good points about the cartoonish Batman characters of yore compared to the dark and disturbing characters we have seen them modernize into…now? Batwoman?

So, what impact does each small message imparted toward the masses by wholesale revision and rendering of all things heroic and masculine? Does the presentation of Joker’s descent into madness enlighten us about mankind’s fate in a dismal world?

I’m holding out for a hero!

I do not think you will get a hero coming from Hollywierd, nor from politics.

Romans 7:24 KJB… “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
