Llpoh: Ten things I think I think

I have not posted one of these in some time. I have been less than motivated as of late, and I have also been fighting a general foul and dark disposition – hence my infrequent posting, as TBP is not a place where rainbows and unicorns and spring flowers are the norm.

1. I think I miss my good friend Stucky. I hope he is ok, and hope the same for his family. He has long been the straw that stirs Admin’s drink, and the irreverence he brings to this monkeyfest is sorely missed.

2. I think this secret impeachment debacle is a disgrace. I think it is nothing more than an attempted coup. And I think that the idiots behind it best be careful, as unintended consequences could be severe.

3. I think there is an insurmountable divide between the left and normal people. I am not convinced there is any way to overcome this divide without crisis.

4. I think if the people are not careful, they will elect an idiot. I do not admire Trump, and find him unpalatable in many instances. But Warren, Beto, etc., are idiots. Oz just barely avoided electing a nation killer recently. But it was a close run thing. These people want nothing more than power, and will do anything and say anything to get it. Warren is promising changes that will cost tens of trillions of dollars. These people are dangerous, and they will kill the golden goose if so allowed.

5. I think, however, that the golden goose is terminally ill already, and it may be a mercy to euthanise it. But that should be done with a workable plan for the future. For instance, the US could repudiate all of its national debt, eliminate welfare in all of its forms, recommit to the Constitution and the rule of law, impose one term limits in the Senate and two terms in Congress (and no crossovers from one to another, so as to eliminate career politicians), slash the size of military, quit policing the world but be committed to act ruthlessly to support its allies, etc. This would cause an enormous crisis, but there would be a way forward. Because right now the path the nation is on is one where the government will soon control everything, and instead it should be controlling virtually nothing. This same plan should be implemented world-wide, as the issues in the US are not unique.

6. I think transfer payments of all kinds should be eliminated. It is theft, and it will eventually destroy the democratic system, as the unproductive increasingly take that which they have not earned via voting.

7. I think that the election in the UK is a bellwether of what is to happen in the US. If Corbyn, the far, far left leader of the Opposition is elected, it will signify that the world is indeed moving close to a massive crisis. The UK politicians have steadfastly refused to implement the will of the people. Why there have not been mass protests I do not know, but if Corbyn is elected, then it will signify that democracy is at an end in the UK.

8. I think that only with a massive economic crisis, accompanied by the inability of the US to continue to fund welfare programs, will there be a reversion to a society where morals, ethics and good character are the rule and not the exception. The loony left is funded by welfare, and they can only behave the way that they do overall is owing to the transfers made, by force, from the productive population.

9. I think that the world has mis-valued a large part of economic activity. For instance, I think farmers are undervalued, and I think CEOs are far overvalued. Men and women of character would do those CEO jobs for a fraction of what is being paid, and the argument that they are meeting market rates is nonsense. I think government employees – public servants – are vastly overpaid, and their wages should be lower than those of the people they serve.

10. I think it should be illegal for government employees to strike, that it should be a crime, and any government employee that does so should be fired and barred in perpetuity from any government position.

And that is what I think I think.

You struck a gusher LLPOH. It was interesting reading the commonality of your foundational thoughts resonating with 99.9% of those on the platform on fire.

I’m with you all the way, especially on the overt, in their face actions.

I live a bit reclusive, and like it that way. I joke around about my place being an Alamo I call the markamo, but my tongue is firmly in my cheek as I stack more ammo and food than PMs.

I got as close to Antifa as I could the one opportunity I have had to date (in 17) and almost got my 67 year old ass arrested going for their Commie flag…so I’m with you on its time to counterattack.

If they had a group called THE PROUD OLD MEN I’d enlist…I still have my cammie hardhart.

I’m afraid some of us “proud old men*” may end up forming and advising a different sort of organized group. The military I left behind in the 1990s has changed dramatically. Those of us who worked at any “command” level organization understands about top-down policy versus bottom-fed contagion**

*and I use the collective term the way it was intended. Get over it.
*top-down policy is when the General issues an order for everyone to go home at noon today because the President ordered a half-day of mourning. Bottom-fed contagion is when an idiot drops and engine from a forklift because he didn’t chain it down since he was only moving it ten feet. What is the contagion? It is the immediate vacancy of the entire maintenance shop floor because the Two-Star General running the whole show just happened to be walking by right then and saw the whole thing. I was ten feet behind him and could not get away from seeing what happened to that forklift driver.

this is off topic but it also fits here b/c it shows how tame both our press & our citizenry have become–
if this had happened 40 years ago both the citizenry & the press would have demanded the heads of those who covered up this incident–
a year ago at a lab in san diego,a tech accidentally injected herself w/the pox virus that is used to make the small pox vaccine(not small pox but it can still make you sick)–it is highly contagious–
she became infected & was sent to a local doc who had to contact the cdc on his own to find out treatment procedures–she was allowed to wander around freely while she was contagious–
we’re only finding out about it b/c a scientific journal did an article about it–

Personally, I have no evidence that LLoph thinks. He rummages but I am pretty sure he doesn’t think. He reacts a lot. His reaction to what happened in the united States is pretty much proof. I do tend to agree with what another poster on another thread said. You left. LLoph’s reply was, “Hey! I still pay taxes!” Not one person asked, “Hey, dumb fuck why didn’t you not renounce your u.S citizenship?” I mean you left and you still pay taxes to a oligarch in the united States? Are you brain dead? A simple fuck you to the united States in the form of renunciation is all that is required to STOP. PAYING. TAXES!

Now, you might find it easy to renounce your gender and lop off your incel gnarlies but LLPOH would have to cut out his heart and bury it at Wounded Knee before he could renounce the US of A. What he did was relocate to a venue that’s more favorable to his cause. Morons like to call that treason or whatever but LLPOH has done more for his country than most morons will do for their particular shithole. America owes LLPOH a debt of gratitude from way back before the Mayflower landing to the present day. Do not forget that. Ya moron.

Oh, smack.

I responded to #7 and told the UK dweller what I thought. He was not pleased.

America may be a colony still, but it’s not “UK” until I say it is.

Okay, here goes on 4, 5, and 9.

I’ve already said always try to get Marxist-tards to go on record, so you can have a paper copy of their stupid shit. I wasn’t even talking to llpoh or trying to antagonize him. I was referring to Caitlin Johnstone Aussie Fem-tard, Marxist-tard earlier today.

Thank the creator for my Yankee education, so I can spot ’em at a distance.

#4 and #5 is such mainstream bovine excrement, I don’t know where to begin. There are no political solutions. To evolve, the reset button is necessary and isn’t even that scary. The younger generation in America DOMINATES the world hands down in logic and critical thinking. Despite decades of mainstream Marxist-tard propaganda, it has had little real effect on the LITERACY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD and the HYBRID VIGOR CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. The Brain Trust that is the Northeast U.S. Megalopolis is the center of the Information and Intellectual Universe. Silicon Valley, Australia, China, Russia, and Israel are just minor, backwater planets in orbit. Commies depend on a fresh supply of illiterate pawns incapable of questioning ideas to storm the barbed wire and their supply of illiterate pawns is drying up because America provided literacy and education to so many people over the decades, so chew on that. They’re desperate, not me, and it shows in spades. Good ideas and logic are more powerful than ANYTHING they throw at you.

#9 is brain cell killing Marxist-tard speech. Ideas are far more critical than even food or farms, because without ideas and intellectual cooperation, where did the farm come from in the first place? Just because Royalty and Gangsters and mean-old CEOs still exist in the World does not mean putting illiterate niggers and bleating-heart women in their places is gonna work. It’s not. That’s playing charades.

What Marxist-tards, Royalty, and Gangsters don’t want sleepy, often emotional Americans to know is, ideas and *idea farming* themselves have proven to be more valuable than money. Well, that cat is out of the bag. A fucking tally stick could ever represent the value of fresh cut, Grade A, organic ideas in a meaningful way. Development and control of ideas and logic are key to the Marxist-tard graveyard so of course they would purposely undervalue ideas when they are not busy dismissing them. Proof positive the UK and EU is cradle-to-grave gangster-socialism.

Good CEOs are underpaid! I do not fear what is coming.

If there was absolute freedom people would run over babies and charge admission.
I been reading here for awhile and I just have to say something. We have to have rules and be good people.
You wrote this up pretty good but it looks like you can’t see what’s really going on. Some of it just seems wrong. The economy is better than its been in along time. Most of us are getting pretty tired of the bullshit and after 2020 most of the assholes will be voted out. Maybe there will be some crap still going on, but too many here can’t see the forest for the trees. Yeah, things have been tough, but us Americans have always worked through it. I read alot of really weird stuff on here, about conspiricies and shit, common sense would show how wrong that is. Workers should have unions and government workers are no different. They have families, too.

Llpoh
Llpoh
  Lenny
November 4, 2019 7:54 pm

If there was absolute freedom, anyone intentionally running over a baby would immediately be flayed alive. Good people would see to it instantly.

The economy is better for some, but it is nowhere near good. When the US participation rate is 63%, that is not good. Forget the unemployment rate – it is participation rate that matters. And participation rate is below 2012 levels.

Most of the assholes will not be voted out. That is really ignorant. 90% of the incumbents running will retain their seats. It is a dead certainty.

As far as govt employees having unions – that is fine. It is the right to strike that is the issue. And by so doing hold the public to ransom. And the high wages that govt workers earn, paid for by tax dollars of actual productive people, should not be allowed to continue.

Americans worked through bad times when they had a common culture. That no longer exists. American was essentially one big clan. But now it is fractured.

When I was little(long long ago) Govt. workers just got by. The bennies were in job security for those who probably wouldn’t do even that well in the market. When they allowed unions and strikes we woke up one day with a monster leech on our necks. Lenny is probably too young to remember. It was seen as secure to people who had come from overseas which was more important than high wages.

Just like your new home Australia is going full steam ahead towards.

Just thought you might have added the breakdown in enforcement of contracts in law eg the current shitfight we have with employee underpayment. If an employee steals from an employer a sum of money they should and very often do a stretch of porridge in the big house. Yet when employers steal from their employees as is happening consistently (I don’t buy this shit that the award system is difficult) the employer offers to payback and apologise to those who they stole from. This disproportionate application of punishment is what drives a lot of my circle of friends and family hopping fucking mad.

I have business interests in Oz. If you do not understand that “this award shit” is very fucking difficult, you are a moron. In manufacturing, there are 14 different classifications of skill, there are several different classifications of employment types, there are untold different types of overtime, there are allowances of all types, there are many different types of leave, there are age brackets, shift premiums, some entitlements paid by days and others by hours, complex superannuation calculations, etc ad nauseum.

It is far too complex of a system, and employers are never going to err on the side of overpaying, as that puts them at a competitive disadvantage.

Get a fucking clue before you post. You clearly are a drone of some sort, with zero idea of what is involved in running a payroll system in Australia. The US is far, far easier.

I call you out on that. It is not fucking difficult to classify an employee. Whilst the awards, agreements and the rest need cleaning up, if you know how to read, you get it right.
How is it that in a completely multi skilled and multi award warehouse with multiple employment types, multiple WH&S obligations (road freight and warehouse), casual and supplementary casuals (both sub groups paid differently), permanent part time and 7 day and 5 day shift workers, with a multitude of over 40 different allowances, I can get employee classifications and entitlements right (even the relevant multiple trade unions organisers who were itching for a fight left knowing their members were being paid correctly) but restauranteurs completely fuck it up to their advantage.
How is it that multinationals with human resources departments so fucking big, get it so fucking wrong.

I have more than a clue here buddy. You think it is easier in the States, well I’ll take your word for it. (PS maybe you should have stayed in the States since it is so much easier. Yet if you know how to read you get it right. . Do some research on some of the more conservative members of the Fair Work Commission and you can see that they share the same conclusion. Now end the dick measuring contest.

Yes if an employer makes an honest mistake, then by all means apologise and fix. Yet as you would be aware these are systemic rip offs, (7/11, Woolworths, Coles, Dominoes, Pizza Hut in cahoots with the SDA employees union) ones that have been carried on for years and yet not one of the fuckers responsible goes to gaol. They breached a social contract without fear of any custodial repercussions. They got paid bonuses for ripping people off and still no gaol time. Yet as said in the post if you steal from an employer you should rightly expect to be doing porridge.

Fatman – bullshit.

1) if you claim you are certain you are paying correctly, you are either lying or deluded. It only matters what a govt drone thinks at FW.
2) if you think that employees go to jail for theft, you are either lying or deluded as it almost never happens. Hell, they even get reinstated if fired for theft, at times.
3) if you want to put your freedom in the hands of a govt drone to determine intent if wages are paid incorrectly, be my guest. I will be resigning my Oz directorships if they criminalise payment issues. See prosecutions being made for workplace manslaughter as to why. Govt drones prosecute in hindsight.
4) I doubt you are a director, or you would not be so flippant.
5) centre right? More like a bloody Greenie. Pull the other one.

But at least you have some idea. You just do not seem to have skin in the game, or you would not be so certain. Because there is no certain. It is guess work and hope like hell some underling has not fucked up, and that you do not get a drone pinning a criminal charge on you because of it.

1) DC Manager in the archaic transport and distribution industry. Some of the awards have been around for over 30 years with entitlements updated. Do they need cleaning up? You fucking bet. Yet it is part of my role to determine what classification and entitlements employees are to be paid. I work inside a rule book however sad that is, that FW has approved.
2) Yes most don’t yet most of those happen at Local Court level. Get your case heard in the District Court and kapow, bet you London to a brick , in you go.
3)Not talking about the bloke who made an error. Talking about groups of people who collude to underpay on a systemic basis. These same people would be the ones that put people who do the right thing out of business. Not talking about the SME who can’t afford a HR and lawyers department to nuance whether this person should be on that rate or this rate. The 7/11’s, the Woolworths and the Coles are what I am angling at. You know the managers who have access to all information and resources and not owners of SME.
4) No not a director and btw a sibling owns a SME and my empathy goes out to him and others like him. That includes you. Contrary to popular belief this sub group of employers do not roll in it, yet are the major contributors to employment. I might be flippant yet I want to see the fuckers who rort and damage employee relations sent to fucking gaol just as much as I want employees who steal sent to gaol.

The director could possibly go to jail based on some union drone’s determination that they did not do enough to control your actions. That is what is happening with manslaughter laws – a director was recently sentenced to jail when an underling disobeyed an instruction and died. The director should have made him obey, says govt drone! When you give the drones the right to determine this stuf, it ends in catastrophe.

So must disagree…..I don’t kick the dog, shot people in the street, rob, rape or steal because there are laws against these things and I am dissuaded by the penalties…..no…..I don’t do these things because that is not who I am….because I view them as immoral.

Do you see the difference?

I (and so many others) would never ever commit a violent offense whether there are laws or not….so wouldn’t it actually be better in a society without any law….because as Llpoh notes the evildoers will be quickly identified and purged (permanently). In our current situation we have a prison industrial complex and thousands of laws to fill the funnel with “lawbreakers” to justify massive budgets for police, courts, prisons, probation and then the Child/Family Sevices folks can get involved…..and what a great way to suppress gun ownership, speech etc….

Loopey- Yet again you write about government as if it is legitimate, why? Elected so called democratic governments are a tool for the club. All monarchy and BS government are theater for the enslaved but I am glad that you are still pondering problems and solutions. All we can do is say a little prayer for him. Yes, I would cut SS off at the knees. Given people are taking out far more than they put in, and huge numbers are abusing the system – SSDI for instance – it has to go.

You cannot make this omelette without breaking some eggs. The US has overspent $23 trillion dollars. It is time to pay the piper. Bankrupt is bankrupt. So sorry, that money is gone. More is being taken out of SS than is going in. It is was and always will be a Ponzi scheme. If you ran such a thing privately you would be tossed in prison.

The world is headed for a catastrophe. There is no easy answer where hey! We get to keep our SS, right? No. It is gone.

Here’s my thinking on all this.
1. I don’t know Stucky.
2. I agree the impeachment thing is bullshit.
3. There’s a lot of problems but we need to talk and not turn our backs.
4. Trump is the best thing we’ve had since Reagan. There will be a landslide in 2020 to get rid of the democrats. That’s when we can get things back where they belong.
5. America has had a lot of problems before and we always work it out. We need a strong military to be safe. Otherwise anybody could mess with us. We can vote and make the government do what it is supposed to. Get conservatives in.
6. Social Security is too important to shut down. Some things need to go away, but not all. Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.
7. The UK is not us. Weve pulled their asses out of a fire more than once. They need us a lot more than we need them.
8. I agree welfare needs to go away, but a lot of people need help sometimes.
9. Most government workers work long hours and deserve the money. The democrat assholes in charge are whazt the problem is. Get rid of them and fix things.
10. I wrote before that all workers should have a union. They need a voice. If they cant strike than what good is it?

You seem nice enough but you made a choice to leave. We Americans who are sticking it out will deal with it and have a great country.

Lenny – to respond to what you have said:

3) talking will not work
4) 90% of current incumbents will be re-elecected. There will be no landslide.
5) voting will note change anything. It is going to take a major crisis. Yes, vote as well as you can, but realize that for the first two years of Trump, the Repubs controlled both houses. Do you see a wall? No. Do you see a balanced budget? No. Do you see Obamacare overturned? No. Do you see Hillary in jail? No. But you somehow think getting Repubs back in both houses and Trump re-elected will somehow make them do all the things they did not do the first time they had a chance? Please, get serious.
6) Social Security is bankrupt. There is no pile of money – it was spent. And it is being spent faster. It is not a savings account. It is a Ponzi scheme. If you think that these issues can be resolved without enormous pain, you are mistaken. There never should have been a government welfare system.
7) The US needs its allies. Is the Us more important? Yes. But without its allies, it would be in a world of shit. Vice versa is also true.
8) any help should be via private donation. Taking money from one person by force and giving it to another is bullshit, and allowing that recipient to vote himself as the recipient is the stupidest thing the US government has ever done, in my opinion.
9) Most government workers are lazy assholes that could not find their asses with a map and a flashlight. You know what percentage of govt workers are black, right? And you know the average IQ of that cohort, right? They should be paid less than the average salary of US workers, given they have such job security, and they should never have been given defined benefit pensions.
10) fuck unions, and fuck govt unions that if allowed to strike can shut down schools, fire departments, police, postal delivery, air traffic control.

I am trying to be nice here, but for fuck sake, Lenny, wise the fuck up.

“I think transfer payments of all kinds should be eliminated. It is theft, and it will eventually destroy the democratic system”

I wrote a paper in college 20 years ago that concluded the very same thing. We’ve spent the equivalent of all capital (cash, machinery, land) in the United States and the statistics haven’t moved one bit. Jesus said, “For ye have the poor with you always . . .” (Mark 14:7). We have yet to learn this.

And, by the way, “transfer payments” includes Social Security. It was never meant to be a savings account and there are two SCOTUS cases that say we have not right to the money we’ve paid in. That means it is just another income tax.

Please stop doing it. I cannot ask any nicer than that.

No goobermint employees should be able to vote. The reality is they do not pay taxes, tho they will try to say they do. For instance, if a goobermint drone gets $100 and pays $20 in tax, we could save the hassle and just give him $80. That does not work if you are in the private sector. So gooberboy really pays no tax. So no vote for him.

Llpoh
Llpoh
  Outwithlibs
November 6, 2019 7:15 pm

Out – you need to wise up. Postal workers are fed employees. And their pensions are fed guaranteed, no matter what you say:

“Postal employees are federal employees. All federal pension and retirement benefits are paid from the U.S. Treasury. Since the Postal Service’s operating costs are collected from ratepayers, the Postal Service pays the U.S. Treasury for the costs of federal pension benefits postal workers are legally entitled to receive. Even if the Postal Service cannot or does not make these payments, postal workers are still entitled to pension benefits from the Federal government. So it’s ultimately taxpayers who get stuck with the bill if the Postal Service can’t pay the Treasury for the costs of pensions. “

The govt sets the price of postage, and heavily regulates the industry.

But they receive no govt monies? Please, get real. They were a monopoly until late, governed by the govt. People were, and to an extent, still are, forced to use the services, people guarantee the benefits of USPS workers, etc.

You have deluded yourself, because it is in your interest to stay deluded.

I want to thank everyone for all the great comments (not .22 or none ya or Dennis Roe, who can all blow me). TBP is chock full of interesting, intelligent, experienced people who have a lot to offer, if you are able to get them to open up.

Many of the commenters and I have met on the TBP fields of battle, and as far as I am concerned are now my friends. (I even have a soft spot for flash, but for fuck sake do not tell him or he will think I have gone soft and will use it against me).

I have many times in my working career been told that problems I have been tasked are too complex, and that I do not understand, and that the problems are unique and thus unfixable. My experience is that each and every time, no exceptions, that this was a lie, that the problems were not unique, and the solutions to the problems were generally straightforward. All that was need was the will to fix the problem.

I believe that the issues we face world-wide are no different. I believe that the answers to the problems are straightforward, but we lack the collective will to fix them, as the surgery will be painful. The perfect example is that in this thread there have been a few comments about not being able to touch Social Security. Of course you can touch SS, and we will eventually have to do so. Math does not lie. The solution will be straightforward, but painful.

The powers that be want us to believe that the problems are too complex for simple solutions. It is not true. We just need the will. The boil must be lanced, the decayed tooth pulled. It is not difficult to decide what to do. It is just that there will be immediate pain involved. But the alternative will be worse.

Thanks again everyone. I learned a lot. As I always do.

Because right now the path the nation is on is one where the government will soon control everything, and instead it should be controlling virtually nothing.

There are constant mentions on the local news about all the new hunting regulations the conservation department is planning to enforce. Conservation department. Teddy Roosevelt created a regulatory mess.

I saw a story on the local news about a guy who has been arrested for “illegal deer hunting.” Someone in Nebraska gave him permission to film a hunting video on private land and the buck he killed and brought home is now “contraband.”

People are rolling their eyes about it, thinking it will get thrown out.

I’m thinking hunting, as a sport and occupation, is on the radar for demonizing. Just like local farming establishments like natural farms like HSF’s… my friend in Maryland told me she knows the organic beef she has delivered to her home quarterly ($3000+) vacuum packed in very small one or two person servings* comes from animals…

“But,” as she puts it in her very proper Maryland dialect, “I prefer to put several layers between myself and the food I eat.” She exists in that unreal world around the Beltway, in planned and sometimes gated communities that provide all of the management of all our country’s bureaucratic power. She thinks it horrifying that we actually saw the Black Angus steer now residing in our freezer.

That’s why she declined my offer to show her teenage daughters how to clean a rabbit. She took two rabbits back to Maryland, both of whom live like queens.

*Roasts in her freezer are about 2 lbs. Nick can eat two pounds all by himself if he’s been working outside!

She says he’s been flirting with her and he even did some chiropractic work on her (or something?) and even though she’s never fooled around with a married man, she’s thinking about making an exception. The bill, apparently, for chiropractic work on old dogs is steep enough to warrant it, apparently.

I warned her such a compromise, even for those of us who are insanely nuts about our dogs, is a slippery slope that once stepped onto is not easy to stop the slide.

number 7 is a real hoot. democracy is dead in the whole western world , not just the UK. look at the examples below. if you can provide examples where the will of the majority has won out over the donor class I would be glad to hear them in a reply.

Gay marriage was voted down in 26 separate state ballot elections , even in California . yet 10 yrs. later it’s he law of the land . NOBODY supports all the permanent wars in the middle east , both trump and Obama were elected to on promises to end them. the voters want to cut deficit spending , but even when W bush had the senate and house he did grew spending . trump had a GOP house and senate for his first 2 years and Paul Ryan and mitch McConnel shove the largest deficits in history down our throats .
the populace supports enforcement of border and immigration laws by a huge margin. but both parties have steadfastly resisted it . the democrat handlers want the votes and clients for the bureaucracy, and the Koch brothers and other big GOP donors want the cheap labor. so that will never ever happen .
BOTH parties are owned by donors who use the politicians to convince us we have some kind of control . but it’s time to face facts . They always get what they want . here is a good summary of where we are :

Past Is The Future

the first step in addressing a problem is a realistic assessment of the depth of the problem .

This is my aunt, who was nine years old the day the telegram came announcing my father was MIA during the attack on Dutch Harbor. I have her handwritten account of taking the message to my grandfather, who was in the field working. He read it. Bowed his head and prayed silently. Took a deep breath and handed the note back to her, saying “It is in God’s hands.”

I don’t know who ended up with the “maze” quilts… I wish it were me.

They made me a bit dizzy to look at for long.

I saw Def live in Germany, in Munich, during their Pyromania tour before the drummer lost his arm. It was in a small hall that held maybe 600, standing room only. The were head-lined by an incredible 3-piece band, three women, called Rock Goddess. Way awesome show that lasted for hours.

US Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor has admitted that it was perfectly clear that aid withheld by US President Donald Trump will not be released unless the former US Vice President of Ukraine, Joe Biden. He does not initiate an investigation against him.

Trump says: ‘Ukraine government tells them to investigate

Ten things I think about what you think you think.

1. Having seen my own father’s mind become distressed and changed by Alzheimer’s, I can only pray for our big lumberjack looking friend and his madam. It is terrible to lose someone while they are still here.

2. I think the fact that the “coup” (impeachment theater) is being performed in front of us as if we are idiots proves the end of the game is upon us with both teams (red and blue) in the KNOW. The one on top is first at bat; you all know the stats.

3. How to get across the divide between left and normal? At one time, the answer would have been to “find common ground and common values” and work from there. We do not have common values with the left… whatever conservative “normal” voices want, the left hates. We could build a bridge over the divide, but it only leads us into war over the precipice.

4. I think elections haven’t really mattered much since Reagan.

5. Since the people imposing term limits benefit from there not being any, that won’t happen.

6. I agree with you in “theory” but in reality, this is a can of pension worms nobody can touch. You think Social Security is a powder keg? Wait until people realize how many U.S. Veterans require government assistance. And, by the way? In this point, I will mention how disturbing it is to me that “wounded warriors” are being painted as heroic at a time when the US military mission is least the least honorable and heroic I’ve seen.

7. I don’t track UK politics but my Irish friend had to move due to ethnic troubles in her neighborhood. Of course, they are Catholic so that could be from internal pressures (IRA? anyone?).

8. you said… only with a massive economic crisis, accompanied by the inability of the US to continue to fund welfare programs, will there be a reversion to a society where morals, ethics and good character … The reversion will not be without a lot of violence, even if it were the end result. I think it brings a lawless period, not unlike what we are seeing in Mexico.

9. Government workers belong to a Federal Workers Union usually. The pay raises, if negotiated at arm’s length across a bargaining table, get passed through without any requirements to address increases in labor costs. That’s Fair Labor Standards Act regulation in action. Federal Government absorbs the pay increases… can you see why the race to get to the Military Industrial Complex trough was on after the NLRB got involved?

10. We just held a strike vote when I sat in negotiations with the government as an IAM rep. When we got a 90% approval from all the employees? The government and the Company (Boeing) folded. A big ugly strike on the evening news is the last thing any company wants. But, get this? It is in the freaking regulations that if the STRIKE is voted on by the majority of the members, the government has to allow it. It is the craziest set of regulations guarding union/government/company relationships on federal property.

Hopefully, that will get this doozie to 500. Thanks for this LLPOH…

I think…

1. I miss my good friend Stucky.
2. the impeachment debacle is a disgrace.
3. that bullets are the only cure for the divide between the left and normal people.
4. the Left only wants idiots allowed to be elected.
5. that the golden goose is cooked.
6. that taxation is theft.
7. that democracy has already dead and gone in the UK.
8. that a society where morals, ethics and good character reign deserves only contempt
9. that Globalism is at core designed to mis-value economic activity.
10. that Dennis Roe is a fucken douchebag for what he said about Stucky.

I had to reflect on my knee-jerk reaction to #6 for a moment, but you are right. It’s not the ‘wounded warriors’ but the deceptions – the eye-wash – that they are being wounded under, that is so reprehensible. So so sad that they are being used in such an unconscionable manner, both in their belief in what they believe is honorable and right, and those who are using their horrible circumstances for gain.
There will eventually be a day of reckoning.

I think Trump and the republicans are also criminal, and this country has long been gone. It won’t be coming back.
