Biographer for the Royal Family, Lady Colin Campbell, recently appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain where she defended Prince Andrew against claims of pedophilia.
In her defense of the disgraced prince, Campbell pointed to the “prostitution” charge that Jeffrey Epstein was convicted of in 2008, and attempted to downplay the fact that the girls were underage by suggesting that he was simply hiring sex workers.
“You all seem to have forgotten that Jeffrey Epstein, the offense for which he was charged and for which he was imprisoned, was for soliciting prostitution from minors. That is not the same thing as pedophilia,” Campbell told a shocked panel Monday morning.
Host Piers Morgan immediately challenged her claims, saying:
“If you solicited a 14-year-old for prostitution, you’re a pedophile.
You’re procuring an underage girl for sex. That’s what he was convicted of. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, with respect, that is nonsense.”
Campbell then immediately attempted to backpedal, claiming that a distinction must be made between a minor and a child.
“Was he? 14? Well, I’m not justifying Jeffrey Epstein. Pedophilia, I suspect there’s a difference between a minor and a child,” she said.
“A 14-year-old is a child. Legally, she’s a child,” Morgan replied.
Campbell then admitted that the prince may have “made many mistakes,” but insisted that his only mistake was being too clueless to realize that one of his closest friends was a predator.
“You can’t criticize someone because they aren’t as bright as you would like them to be,” she said.
The controversy surrounding Prince Andrew has grown since his Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis. In the interview, the prince gave a variety of bizarre excuses and defenses for the accusations against him, including a claim that he could not sweat due to a rare physical condition.
He also denied knowing about the trafficking victim, Virginia Giuffre—formerly known as Virginia Roberts—despite appearing in photos with her when she was under the age of 18. However, he has previously suggested that these photos are “doctored.” Photographic evidence has been uncovered showing that the prince does, in fact, sweat. He also claimed that even though he did not remember meeting the victim on the night that she said, he does vividly remember his alibi, saying he went to a Pizza Express in Woking before returning home that night.
“Going to Pizza Express in Woking is an unusual thing for me to do, a very unusual thing for me to do. I’ve never been… I’ve only been to Woking a couple of times and I remember it weirdly distinctly,” he said.
The interview was so disastrous for the Royal Family that one of Prince Andrew’s PR advisors quit in response to the broadcast. And to make matters even worse, a video clip from 1984 recently resurfaced showing Johnny Carson, then-host of The Tonight Show, making a joke about Prince Andrew being a pedophile.
None of this looks good for the Royal Family.

I use to think this ‘royal family’ horseshit was just so much idiotic tomfoolery. It’s not. It glorifies predetermined authority-leaders you are commanded to obey due to their preeminence. But the walls are starting to crumble. In this case we have two losers who make a mockery of the concept. Andrew was born a laughable asshole and will die one. Charles will forever be known as the douche that left the best piece of ass in britain for a frumpy hag stating he wanted to ‘live in your trousers’. Dictator was historically (in Rome, obviously) a magistrate granted powers in times of emergency, and for a limited period of time. Plenty of Caesars (I believe Marcus Tullius Cicero and even Marcus Aurelius were Caesar at one time) were benevolent (or more accurately, working for the good of the Republic), if based on the denotation.
Dictator took on a negative connotation during Hitler’s reign among those with limited knowledge of ancient history, or with Sulla among ancient historians.
The most famous dictator was Gaius Julius who became dictator during the real estate and debt crises churned up by the Optimates. If memory serves me, he ultimately became Dictator Perpetuo before he died. Considering I am not a banker, lawyer, or Senator, and based on his actions, I’d have been honored to live under his rule.
Only a dictator will be able to fix America. My $.02. The concern during such a fragile moment in a nation’s lifespan is not with the actions of a good dictator, but with whether or not he can stay alive long enough to transition power back to the people.

It’s natural for men to be physically attracted to females under 18. A girl who’s 17 years, 11 months and 29 days old often isn’t repulsive. Just because you want to do something doesn’t mean it’s ok. Even if it’s legal it may not be moral. I no longer think I could marry someone 30 years my junior, even though it would be legal. A young woman deserves a young husband with whom she can raise up children. Using people like tissues to be thrown away is wrong. Not that I’m perfect, by any means.

Legal and illegal mean next to nothing to me because I have a conscience that already lets me know if I am doing the right thing or the wrong thing and it doesn’t require pay and benefits plus retirement to do the job, it does it for free. Many people are not going to want to hear this, but this woman was correct. While I in NO WAY agree with Andrew having sex with under age girls, this is NOT pedophilia. It is Ephebobhilia, the sexual attraction to children aged 15 to 19. Pedophilia is the attraction to pre-pubescent children with zero signs of puberty, and generally the attraction is not based on the child’s gender.
And is it any wonder that this happens? There are two factors at play: An adult male’s biological imperative to breed with the most fertile female available to have the best success of passing on genes, and the constant media bombardment of very young models being further and further sexualized.

Prince Andrew never struck me as the sharpest tool in the shed, and he saw an opportunity that many men, rich or poor, might have very well taken if they though the girl was freely complicit. Even if they absolutely knew she was under the age of consent. Again, only if they though she “wanted it” and was not forced.
However, most adult males will under stand (females too) that girls of this age are still just that, Girls. They lack the emotional maturity to understand the consequences of their actions, and the act of sex with a man (or woman) that much older than they are is not healthy. Their bodies might be ready for sex but their brains very much are not. They cannot distinguish between physical sex and emotional love. Hell, even some adult women I know can’t do that either.
I would also like to point out that historically men typically married women/girls much younger than they were. The whole purpose of marriage at that time was 1. To have children 2. have a woman take care of the running of the house, cleaning, cooking, and 3. take care of children you already had from your previous wife that died having said children and 4. carrying on a title with an heir, but this was of course limited to the nobility/landed gentry.
There was absolutely no point in marrying a woman in her late 20’s when you could marry a girl of 13, 14, or 15 who had a far better chance of surviving childbirth and disease and at that point was more malleable. Women who were not already married in their 20’s were probably disfigured or had birth defects, nuns, or just light speed ugly and no one would marry them.
Even girls from wealthy families and the nobility did not wait to marry.
In my experience, almost all men will joke in some fashion about “jail bait” I doubt any of them would have sex with an underage girl, but if a girl is 17 today and 18 next week, has anything changed?
In the end, this is about a wealthy, powerful individual giving in to a morally reprehensible fantasy while he lived in denial about what Epstein was really doing. There’s the crime. Carrying on with legally underage girls while pretending they were there of their own free will is both a crime and a seriously fucked up mental state.

What struck me about Lady Colin was how upset she was at the impertinence of being challenged by her inferiors. The Royal family offers nothing in the modern era to anyone except status. They create nothing, lead no one, offer no higher standards or ideals, they just were born to the right people. Knowing that their only hold on power and authority is rooted in their firm belief that they actually have a mandate from a god they no longer believe in.
They are in a precarious position and they know it and having one of their own demonstrate what soulless shitheels they really are does damage to their brand. That’s what she’s defending, not his behavior. She could probably care less what Andrew does with the young daughters of the rabble.

Biggest problem for Andrew is that everything he said in that interview has already been proven to be a lie. Photos of him partying, sweating and dressed casually, all things he claimed he didn’t do.
All the charities and organisations he’s linked too are under pressure to disassociate with him. Several major sponsors of his current charity have pulled out.
If it is true that Epstein had cameras in every bedroom and bathroom in his NY house and there are more photos and even videos then he’s completely finished. Question then is what They will do with him? Exile him like they did Edward and Mrs Simpson? Where to and which country would have him?
This whole situation will undermine our establishment far more than is currently realised. It’s about time.

Don’t know about the UK, but in many states 16 is only the age of consent to have sex with someone within a few years or your age. Even in states with 16 as age of consent, it can be illegal for a 35 year old to have sex with a 17 year old.

Thank you, I think? I can logically look at the behavior of others and realize that what they did was wrong while also pointing out the error of the accusation against them. For some reason, people sometimes think you are supporting a persons bad behavior when you discuss it and maybe state that the crime they are being accused of is not the actual crime they committed.
Do I think Andrew knew something was rotten with the situation? Most likely. So he was either in deep denial or didn’t give a rat’s ass but either way he should have known better. I find it exceedingly hard to believe Epstein’s “guests” didn’t know what this fucker was up to. I am sure they all had a good laugh about the “little people” who didn’t know what they were up to, and how fabulously brilliant they were to get away with it. Trust and being stupid or careless enough to romp in a pad surely known to be bugged is not the same thing. I know it was only a big deal recently with 16 year olds and nobody batted an eye.
