Why Is The UN Hiring English-Speaking Disarmament Officers In New York?

Authored by Daisy Luther via The Organic prepper blog,

As the Second Amendment conflict heats up across the United States, here’s another “crazy conspiracy theory” that has turned out to be true.

The United Nations is hiring in New York. What positions are they trying to fill?

English-speaking DISARMAMENT, DEMOBILIZATION, AND REINTEGRATION OFFICERS.

This job was posted the day after Christmas. So for all the folks who have been saying “nobody is trying to take your guns” you might want to read this job listing and reconsider your opinion.

Is this in response to the Virginia crisis?

You may recall that citizens of Virginia have become outraged recently by new laws that are likely to pass this month, effectively banning all semi-automatic weapons. Sanctuary counties, cities, and municipalities now cover all but the most urban parts of the state. These sanctuaries have vowed to support the Second Amendment and are refusing to enforce unconstitutional gun laws.

In response, a member of the state congress suggested that Governor Northam could call up the National Guard to disarm residents of Virginia despite the wishes of local governments. In response to that, at least one county has formed a militia and others are expected to spring up. The state’s Attorney General says that these sanctuaries carry no legal weight.

Despite the AG’s opinion and threats from the state government, Virginians appear to have no plans to give up their guns or register them. Many members of law enforcement entities and the National Guard have said that they will not act on unconstitutional orders.

One has to wonder if this is why the UN is hiring “disarmament officers?”

What is the job description?

Here are the responsibilities for the new hires, as per the United Nations job listing.

Within delegated authority, the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Acts as a Focal Point for Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) components for two to three missions, responsible for planning, support to implementation and evaluation;
  • Participates in DPO and Integrated Task Force planning meetings for the establishment of a new peacekeeping mission with a potential DDR component;
  • Provides technical assistance to peace negotiations;
  • Participates in technical assessment missions;
  • Advises, develops and reviews (as appropriate) initial DDR functional strategy and concept of operations for further development into a full programme by the DDR component and the National DDR Commission;
  • Drafts and reviews DDR inputs to SG report, code cables, and talking points;
  • Develops initial result-based framework and budget for new DDR components in new mission;
  • Liaises with UNDP and donor community to raise voluntary contributions for DDR programmes;
  • Presents and/or defends new and subsequent DDR budgetary requirements in the ACABQ and the 5th Committee of the General Assembly;
  • Develops staffing structure and terms of reference for a DDR component, including terms of integration with other UN agencies, funds and programmes;
  • Provides technical clearance for applicants to DDR units in new and ongoing missions;
  • Provides Headquarters support in planning the civilian and military logistics support for DDR;
  • Continually reviews DDR programme strategy and implementation through relevant documents, reports and code cables;
  • Conducts field missions to assess implementation of established DDR programmes;
  • Identifies potential problems and issues to be addressed and suggests remedies to DDR units in the field;
  • Liaises with Member States, UN actors and other DDR interested partners to represent the mission’s DDR component at the Headquarters level;
  • Establishes and maintains an outreach network with CSOs and IGOs active in the area of DDR.
  • Supports the doctrine development work in the area of DDR in the department, with the Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) on DDR and other relevant national and international actors working on DDR issues;
  • Contributes to Department-level or Policy Committee-level policy development work on DDR and related issues;
  • Maintains and further develops the Integrated DDR Standards – a set of inter-agency policies, guidelines and procedures on DDR;
  • On behalf of the Chief of the DDR Section, co-chairs the IAWG on DDR, contributes to bringing coherence to the interaction of the UN system and its partners on DDR;
  • Supervises the Associate Expert (Junior Professional Officer) in the development and maintenance of the web-based United Nations DDR Resource Centre;
  • Liaises with others (UN, regional organisations and Member States) providing DDR.
  • Other duties as required. (source)

Also notable is the required language fluency – English – and the desired experience.

Seven years of relevant experience in disarmament affairs, political analysis or in national military or paramilitary service, preferably related to the design, implementation or review of DDR. (source)

Employees would answer to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

As per the UN, here are some specifics about this job description. Of special note:

Disarmament is the collection, documentation, control and disposal of small arms, ammunition, explosives and light and heavy weapons of combatants and often also of the civilian population. Disarmament also includes the development of responsible arms management programmes. (source)

As well, the UN especially wants women to apply for this job, citing gender equality. But is it possible they think that a gun owner might have more ethical difficulty firing on a woman trying to take their weapons than a man?

The US is no longer part of the UN Arms Trade Treaty.

You may recall back in 2013, the United Nations convinced then-Secretary of State John Kerry to sign a treaty that “unequivocally bans arms transfers that are in violation of a U.N. arms embargo or that exporters have reason to know will be used to commit genocide and other grievous war crimes.”

In 2013, the US signed the UN Arms Trade Treaty but that signature was never ratified. Last April, President Trump officially withdrew from the international gun control treaty.

However noble that may sound, anti-gun control activists were concerned this would lead to the UN being able to disarm Americans on US soil.

So why is the UN looking for English-speaking disarmament experts?

Don’t be silly, “no one is coming to take your guns.”

How many times has someone told you not to worry – that nobody is coming to take your guns away? That all they want is “common-sense gun laws?”

In light of the current political climate and this job listing, I’d say that is an outright a lie.

That is an interesting question akin to the nature vs. nurture debate. I think this globalism construct is so large and has so many ‘believers’ that the believers will go as fast and hard as the can. I think the real management would rather slow things down, and that’s exactly what Trumpenfuhrer is doing. How many cucks are hiding behind Trump’s pant legs? “If you abort Trump’s presidency, then it’s on!” Trump can’t be president beyond a total of 8 years (or perhaps technically almost 10 years if he were to be vice president and become president for less than half a term, not gonna happen). Frog. Water. Pot. Stove. Christcucks will NOT believe precisely because they must outwardly believe their orthodox antithesis out of government-bred necessity. Christcucks can’t resist. Cannot. And good riddance. The left rank and file will push and the right rank and file will refrain. The result is obvious. I think the Left fears the white man of the past in the domesticated joke it became. 500 years of white man domination. So terrible. Now an age of such peace and prosperity. Anyway, I don’t think the alacrity comes from a rational illuminati. Yin is their forte.

According to the letter of the 22A, Trump (or anyone else) could be elected to the VP slot as many times as he wants and could ascend to the Presidency as often as the vacancy occurred.

For example. 0bama could run as the VP this year with the understanding the President would immediately resign, elevating him to POTUS. In ’24, he could do the same thing all over again and could remain as POTUS as long as he can find someone who will give it up and the people are stupid enough to elect him as VP.

How do they shutdown landline phones?

Most folks I know who still have a land line service are doing so through their cable/ISP. Very few have traditional POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service – dedicated copper lines) anymore. They may have old school copper within the home to the jacks, but the provider is delivering the service to the home/business over the same line as the cable/internet (e.g. xFinity/Comcast, Verizon FiOS).

I have FiOS and my fiber got cut out in the front yard (landscaping and a line not buried to code). It knocked out all of our services. Really no different than having the provider drop service, though that implies that the providers will comply. Given that they’ve complied quite willingly with national security letters there’s no reason to think they won’t here…

I still have the plain old phone service. My mother does, too. I kept my landline because it’ll still work during a power outage, especially an extended outage. My phone line, through AT&T, is separate from the cable/Internet line, through Xfinity/Comcast. But I guess if they wanted to cut a landline like mine they could do it like they do when people don’t pay the bill.

AT&T forced me to upgrade to VOIP 3 years ago and I dropped the land line when the politicians were blowing it up in ’18 when we had an open Gov and Sen slot. I wondered why I had kept it so long after we saw how quiet dinner time got with no house phone.

VV-your POTS goes through a switching office (several may be located in a city), which is like a physical choke point for thousands of phone lines. Power is required to operate the system, which comes complete with huge lead acid back up batteries-the batteries are why your phone does not go down when the power company goes down. Cut the power off and disconnect the batteries and no signals get through. The telco has a way to efficiently shut things down.

VOIP networks are more concentrated yet and can be disabled remotely very easily-a couple of keystrokes will do it (just like the Fed creates $billions).

The telecoms utilities (phone cos and cablecos) can easily turn off your residence, your street, zip code, city or entire state as appropriate and requested with a simple push of a button….even back in the old ATT days every local office switching center had a small room to hold the FBI wiretapping gear….nothing has changed except they don’t need the room anymore…..just do it all remotely.

“How do they shutdown landline phones?”

easy. it’s all centralized now. and most “landlines” have been converted to tower/radio wherever possible, which is something like 2/3 of the entire network. so yeah, the (((deep state))) tells the sysop “shut down this house, or neighborhood, or town, or city, or county, or state”, and the sysop types a few commands, and voila! no comms for you!

they can also specify by population group. “all gun owners.” “everyone who has any recorded contact with this guy or this organization.” “everyone who buys suspiciously large amounts of gasoline.” etc. the sky’s the limit, and we’re just getting off the ground.

Stingrays spoofing cell sites can be used for smaller areas pinpointing of targets as well as listening in….at some point the mass communication is more dangerous than shutting it down (people tweeting government atrocities etc.) so they will then disable everything. You will know the revolution has started when the power goes out and the Internet is down……

IMHO, they are capable of stopping communication while still enabling the location services. They already know the leaders they need to neutralize and will have teams assigned to each of them before they take down the service. That is certainly how I would do it, if planning on capping the leadership of any potential armed resistance.

How many will it take break open the front door of the “second” house in a neighborhood and how many will be watching their backs? Does anyone really think this is going to be a ‘fun job” to have? There is one estimate of there being more than 400,000,000 guns among the 300,000,000 citizens of the United States. Who has enough personnel to with stand the possible losses should a resistance movement arise? And even if ALL the guns were taken up, what about the gunsmiths and tinkerers out there who will just start it all over again. It would also seem no one remembers the story about “the shot heard around the world.” Why were the British troops in Lexington anyway ???

I can guarantee you that 99% of those geardo, tacticool weenies will shit the bed when the first one gets popped. None of those vests have III+ plates that are department issued. The plates will stop a few rifle ball rounds, but anyone firing LAP or 300Mag equivalent will punch right through that with ease at range. Moreover, most hunting rifles and sporting rifles are MOA or better in accuracy and that means face/throat shots or lower abdomen and limb shots at max effective ranges for the disciplined shooter.

Getting to experience the response in the FLL shooting back 2017 I will also guarantee that the vast majority of LEOs reacting with no information rivaled panicked ostrich gaggles. Negligent discharges by FBI dildos in the parking lot, BSO SWAT drawing down on kids without a clear background… they do not intimidate me in the least and they confirmed what I often suspected: unless they are a combat vet or shoot on their own time they will panic when going in blind. I had to talk one AGW down from his booger hook on the trigger and saw multiple AGWs running around with lense covers still on their optics. Hearing their coms and the coordination between FBI, BSO, ATF, city cops and DHS was a fucking abortion at best.

They operate under the assumption of superiority through numbers, initiative and not having any culpability when shooting innocents. Trust me on this: when a person or group of well-organized people have a solid tactical and operational plan with contingencies and the initiative they will have superiority in 95% of engagements with an opposing force. If it goes south there is always the Sterling way: he who dares, wins.

There are dozens of ways to strike fear in the hearts of the enemy and it has nothing to do with attacking soft targets. Look at the shit the bangers were doing back in the mid 2000 decade with combat vets going back to gang life when they got out: ambushing cops was frequent and successful in California. All government shooters are one negative experience away from cutting and running. Leverage ruthlessness and amoral tactics to dictate a battle that influences war outcome if rational debate falls on deaf ears or ignorant minds.

The one hope for the doomed is not to hope for safety.

Based on what most likely be the outcome if they try to confiscate guns, it’s definitely better to fight back. Guerilla warfare is the answer.

This type of incident, especially if there was shooting involved, would draw the whole neighborhood out, which most likely would spread word-of-mouth following the incident. They wouldn’t be able to keep it quiet. It would only slow the news spreading to outside the neighborhood/city/state. The news would spread as fast as a vehicle can drive.

Thank goodness is was never ratified by the Senate, which makes it void. And Trump completely abandoning it made it clear.

Also, according to the Constitution (as if any politicians care), only the federal government is allowed to deal with, negotiate directly with foreign states and institutions. U.S. states and local governments not allowed to do so.

What’s to worry about here?

As long at you keep sending in those payments to the NRA, keep dropping to your knees and praying to ‘Jesusussususus’ and keep on waiting for the ‘rapture’ to unfold–how can those nasty, blue helmeted goons have any success here in the USA?

This reminds me of a Rawles book. I guess people don’t learn from history. Our country is full of people with guns who wouldn’t welcome foreign troops on U.S. soil.

Gun rights are the same bullshit argument as abortion and immigration. They matter little to solving the real issues of the country. I thought part of the point of a armed population was to keep a corrupt government in check. How is that working out? When the average joe can have a low yield tactical nuke, then I’ll start to believe in the 2nd amendment fantasy. Our government far outguns the average guy and that is part of the problem. Do you really think they are scared of you and a AR-15? LMAO. Vacuum bombs, bullets that can track around corners, nukes, microwave weapons, the list of weapons go on and on. Gun rights are another pointless talking point that TPTB use to keep us all divided, never focused on the real issues.
