Rush Limbaugh Announces He has Advanced Lung Cancer

Via Legal Insurrection

The Hill’s Joe Concha tweeted that Rush Limbaugh announced of his radio show that he has advanced lung cancer.

Ryan Saavedra has Limbaugh’s full remarks:

“Ladies and gentleman, this day has been one of the most difficult days in recent memory for me because I’ve known this moment was coming in the program today,” Limbaugh began. “I’m sure you all know by now, I really don’t like talking about myself and I don’t like making things about me other than in the usual satirical joking way.”

“I like this program to be about you and things that matter to all of us,” Limbaugh continued. “The one thing that I know that has happened over the 31 plus years of this program is that there has been an incredible bond that has developed between all of you and me.”

“So I have to tell you something today that I wish I didn’t have to tell you,” Limbaugh continued. “And it’s, it’s a struggle for me because I had to inform my staff earlier today.”

“I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer,” Limbaugh said.

I must have missed the part where Rush won against liberals in the culture war or in some physical altercation. Maybe someone can recite something he’s done beside make millions calling the play by play of decline. I’m not happy about his cancer, but he’s a hero as much as Kobe, or vice versa.

I’ve been a near daily listener for 20 years, from Canada. Rush Limbaugh helped me come to terms with my successes in life, to learn to never apologize for doing well and living well and find hope and positivity when life on both sides of border seemed to be in dire straits over the past few decades.

May God bless Mr. Limbaugh and see him through to recovery.

I remember the first time I heard Rush.

I tuned in and went to wash some dishes. as he talked I moved slower and slower, until I was just standing there with my hands in the water, hearing what he had to say. eventually I walked over to the radio and just stood staring at it. it was so shocking to hear what I had always thought and believed coming out of a radio, out of a “public” system. as he went on I slowly realized just how much the mass media had been lying, deceiving, misleading me, everyone, all these many years.

then he cut to one of his timber update commercials, “lumberjack” by jackyl. I whooped and hollered and started dancing, some horrible white boy dance.

thank you Rush.

Rush confronted his opiate addiction and came through that bravely. He will do this with dignity, I have no doubt.

When he announced that he had hearing loss, I wanted to ask if he had taken Vicodin because it was reported to have something to do with hearing loss. Later, he came out and announced he had been abusing Oxycontin. Then I wondered why I had even cared.

It doesn’t mean that I am glad he is sick but this time I will wait for the other shoe to drop. Was the formerly nicotine stained blowhard vaping?

I think Rush enjoys exotic cigars.

There are other kinds of Cubans.

Yes, he does. However, one does not inhale cigars. This really should play no role in lung cancer. I don’t know if he was ever a cigarette smoker. And then, there are many that get lung cancer that have never smoked anything in their life.

Very true… I’ve heard of lip and/or tongue cancer, but usually those are associated with dip and chewing tobacco.

“The air we breathe is filled with cancer-causing substances,” said Kurt Straif, PhD, head of the IARC Monographs Section. “Outdoor air pollution is not only a major environmental risk to health in general, it is the most important environmental cancer killer due to the large number of people exposed.”

I have a dear friend who suffers from lung cancer and she never smoked anything. Had another friend, another non-smoker, who died of lung cancer three years ago. Sorry to hear about Rush’s diagnosis, no one deserves such a fate (well, almost no one)

My dentist told me I would die of cancer if I didn’t stop smoking. He died of lung cancer and never smoked. That was 25 years ago and I still smoke.

I gotta tell you, Julio… do you mind if I call you Julio?

There was a semi-rumor about Rushbo. I figured it was his back and more painkiller issues. Cancer sucks.

He should try the dewormer.

No, he was getting drugs with fake scrip. Doesn’t sound like a pain issue, it’s legal heroin.

You are reading shit into it. I said I was concerned when he lost his hearing. Then I said, I will wait to see what could be the cause of his lung cancer.

If I had started cheering or whooping it up, then you could shame me. I knew I would get some heat anyway. And If I say you shouldn’t vape, you might get offended when in fact, I am looking after your welfare.

Well, my friend, I am certainly not a kid at almost 60. (Fuck that sounds old). Thanks for looking out, but I vape 100% organic VG with nicotine and organic flavor, not Propylene Glycol antifreeze shit. But you are right my man, it probably ain;t good. Just like a caffeine addiction is how I look at it.

Cigarette smoking is a nasty boomer habit. Stick it in your butt and try to take a few puffs. You laugh? What makes you think it looks normal sticking out of your mouth? And dipping shit is just gross.

Bad timing.
We need Rush for the upcoming re-election of Pres. Donald J. Trump 2020
front and center. Rush and the rest of the radio talk show mafia have their work
cut out for them fighting the dirty Dems.
I expect this to be a wild election year and the Social Justice Warriors will be
out in full force. The Doctor of Democracy needs to get back to his podium
and keep up his lectures. No one graduates from the Rush Limbaugh School
for Advanced Conservative Studies. No one.

The first time I ever listened to Rush was the day after the ’94 elections. I had heard stories, but actually hearing him talk about the House changing hands for the first time in 40 years was amazing. He is a pioneer and certainly one of the founding fathers of modern conservatism.

God speed, Rush. I wish a full and complete recovery for you.

I always enjoyed his insights because they were not political, but just pragmatic. I remember when he first came out he did a talking tour. He came to the Palace Theatre in Manchester NH in the late
80’s and the wife and I went. He was pro abortion murder of children then and I walked the fuck out. Not now. I don’t vote for the demise of anyone, except maybe the Hilldecunt, but Godspeed Rush, I have enjoyed learning from you these many years. He has great insights and intuitions.

what do you mean he was pro abortion?
i’ve been listening since 88 or 89,he used to piss off people so much it was incredible b/c he had abortion stories & would use a vacuum cleaner to illustrate what was happening to the unborn child–
those tours were called rush to excellence tours ,i was too sophisticated to go to something like that back then,i’d jump on it today–

If you want to know if Limbaugh was effective, go over to the Yahoo boards and read the comments under the Limbaugh stories. Anybody that can induce that amount of psychotic, deranged hatred and vitriol out of the “compassionate progressives” has to have been doing something right. I think they hate him more than Trump. It makes for very entertaining reading as they reveal who they really are.

Why? He has lung cancer but he ain’t dead. He may get one or two lungs transplanted. (And please, nobody jump on me for saying that, it is not meant to be an attack.)

Modern medicine has reached a point that cancer is survivable and we are nearly able to speak about immortality without provoking a raised eyebrow.

I just saw Trump give Rush the Medal of Freedom. He looked genuinely thankful and touched. Good for him. I’m sorry to hear he’s probably due to assume room temperature and return his talent to God soon, but I hope he can enjoy what time he has left with his family and loved ones. And watching Pelosi’s miserable face as Trump spoke made me kind of happy. It’s going to be great watching her sit through those speeches for a few more years.
