Gore v Limbaugh: 1992

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Thirty years later, the world continues to thrive. The climate zealots claimed we had about 10 years left on this Earth. Limbaugh calls out Gore for blaming global warming on capitalism and fear-mongering in this two-part debate. Also noteworthy is how two sides of the spectrum were able to hold a civil debate on a hot topic.

We Have Lost an American Genius

Guest Post by Victor Davis Hanson

We Have Lost an American Genius

Rush Limbaugh created modern national talk radio as we now know it. For over three decades he kept at rapt attention — live from noon to 3 p.m. on weekdays — the largest conservative audience in broadcast history. More than 15 million tuned in each week.

Last week, 32 years and more than 23,000 hours of on-air commentary after he went national in August 1988, Limbaugh died of lung cancer at age 70.

By the 1990s he had become the voice, literally and iconically, of the conservative movement and its hot/cold liaisons with the Republican Party. Limbaugh was hated by the left because he was deadly effective in fighting them, and he was feared at times by the Republican establishment — because he could also be deadly effective in fighting it.

Boo hoo. The Moonbats Stole Our Election. Now What?

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

I had lunch with two friends the week before the November 3, 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.  One of the men is an unconfessed Socialist and the other is a Republican in Name Only (RINO).  During our discussion, the RINO told the Socialist he was voting for Trump.  Honestly, I was very surprised because I’m quite sure he voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. So, afterward, I privately asked the RINO if he had seen Tucker Carlson’s interview of Tony Bobulinski. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the RINO replied he did not watch “pulp journalism” and that he only deals with the “facts and hard reporting” as found on the digital pages of The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Of course, a sh*tfest ensued.  In summary, the RINO would not hear anything about Bobulinski’s response to Joe Biden’s (second presidential debate) claims of “Russian disinformation”, he believed Biden would (deservedly) win in a landslide, that Trump has f*cked up America’s Covid response, and that he [the RINO] was actually voting for Biden.  It turned out he was joking inside the restaurant when he said he was voting for Trump.

What Rush Means To Us, And To Me

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

What Rush Means To Us, And To Me

It’s a tribute to the great Rush Limbaugh that the reaction to his cancer diagnosis by the tens of millions of people he inspired was not to be devastated but to focus and to resolutely offer their thoughts and prayers in his fight. And he will fight – he’ll fight this like he has fought everything and everyone else that tried to take him out over the last third of a century. He is the archetypal conservative brawler, a no-apologies, no-excuses conservative who never submitted, never allowed himself to be domesticated and neutered by the elite. At the same time, he is gracious and a charity juggernaut. We love him for his strength and wit, and the left – to judge by its vicious, hateful glee over the news – has never forgiven him for either.

Five Faulty Premises of Russiagate

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Having watched some of the questions to former Special Counsel Robert Mueller by congress on Wednesday July 24, 2019, as well as Mueller’s dithering deflections – it was obvious the entire affair was another distraction; more of the same ongoing circus show.

Of course, no minds were changed. Those on the Left still consider Trump to be a comprised capitalist pig guarding his tax returns with all the fervor of any good Manchurian Candidate and those on the Right still viewing Mueller as a tyrannical tool of the Deep State.

After Mueller’s live testimony, this blogger listened to roughly thirty Americans calling into CNBC with their comments. Of those callers, only three were in support of Trump and with the rest of them effusively expressing gratitude to Mueller for his service in revealing Trump’s threat to American Democracy.

On Inevitability, Beauty, Truth, & Experience

“If we focus on fighting death, we can only lose…

If we focus on living life, we can only win.”

For many years, I’ve held on to the feeling of invincibility I’ve known all of my life.  Like the sense one has before a test when they just know they have a better-than-average chance of coming up aces; of being prepared to rise above the challenge and feeling lucky at the same time.  Even when I went through a bout of depression and paralysis several years ago – it was, in part, because I was angry that the inevitable shit-show was taking too long get started and the waiting to die was killing me.

Rush Limbaugh: Watching Trump sign spending bill was like seeing him ‘go back up’ the escalator

Via The Washington Examiner

Conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh said President Trump signing a $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill into law on Friday made him feel like he was witnessing Trump “go back up” the escalator.

“I try to be a guy governed by my thoughts, but I’m not liking the way I’m feeling. I’m feeling like I just saw Donald Trump get on the escalator and go back up,” Limbaugh said on his radio show Friday, referring to the scene where Trump announced his candidacy for president in June 2015 at Trump Tower in New York City.

Weaponized Consensus by the Collective Establishes Counterfeit Premises to Control Contrived Contingencies

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

– 2 Timothy 3:13

They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

– Psalm 1: 4

Many years ago I read a book entitled “People of the Lie”  written by Scott Peck, an American psychiatrist.  It was a fascinating analytic study of malignant narcissism and deceit. I came away from the book with an understanding that a very significant percentage, if not the majority, of people in the world are not decent.

Other conceptualizations presented by Peck in “People of the Lie” included disguise as a main motive of evil, along with descriptions of people assessed as such to being self-deluded, as projecting their own actions onto others, as utilizing the pretense of love to actually hate, and as possessing an inherent intolerance to withstand criticism.  The author further identified evil as the opposition to life; even acknowledging the word “evil” aslive” spelled backwards.  Dr. Peck also claimed evil could be measured by its consistency and conceded that decent individuals have difficulty in cognitively processing the concept:

A Long, Hot Summer is Coming

Guest Post by Eric Peters

Whatever happens, it’s going to get ugly.long hot summer

If Trump is nominated, there will be riots – the Perpetually (and professionally) Aggrieved will take to the streets.

If Trump is denied the nomination, there will be riots – as the people come face to face with the true nature of the system they were taught to respect since childhood.

Not since 1861 has America been so clearly divided. These divisions transcend mere political differences of opinion over this or that policy. There is a fundamental schism. Irreconcilable differences. The two sides detest each other, have almost nothing in common. And so can no longer live together.

Trump has been likened to Hitler – which is unfair. He is no Hitler. He is a crony capitalist and some other things, too. Mussolini, maybe.

But he isn’t Hitler.Kasich

However, he is riding a wave – make that a tsunami – similar to the one that led to the chancellorship of the German Reich (as it was styled in those days) falling into the hands of the former gefreiter. The people of Germany had been driven to a state of desperation and frenzy by decades of economic evisceration of their country and thus, of themselves. Their country had been ruled over by a revolving, insular cabal of greedheads and frauds, some nothing more than puppets of financial interests, who milked the cow for their and their masters’ benefit.

Sound familiar?

GOP Sells America Down the River

Guest Post by Rush Limbaugh

The country was just sold down the river again by your very Republican Party.

I have a headline here from the Washington Times:  “White House Declares Total Victory Over GOP in Budget Battle.” That headline’s a misnomer.  There was never a battle.  None of this was opposed.  The Republican Party didn’t stand up to any of it, and the die has been cast for a long time on this.  I know many of you are dispirited, depressed, angry, combination of all of that. But, folks, there was no other way this could go. Because two years ago when the Republican Party declared they would never do anything that would shut down the government and they would not impeach Obama, there were no obstacles in Obama’s way and there were no obstacles in the way of the Democrat Party.

When you surrender the power of the purse — and that’s the primary power the House of Representatives has.  Not a penny of money can be spent in this country by this government without the House of Representatives authorizing it.  Obama can spend all he wants, but if the House doesn’t give him the mechanism, he can’t spend any of it.  But the Republicans squandered that.  They gave up the power of the purse.  The reason they did that is because for some inexplicable reason, they are literally paranoid and scared to death of even being accused of doing something that would shut down the government.

RUSH LIMBAUGH DOES TBP

Evidently I have a new right wing neo-con fan. I’m guessing a few million people listen to his show everyday. I doubt they will stay long on our site, if they come at all. Rush Limbaugh did a segment today on my recent Depression article. Here is the transcript:

Millennials Are Coming of Age in a Depression — They Just Don’t Know It

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I mentioned to you last week that I had a story about how what we are living through right now is actually worse than the Great Depression and why nobody knows.I went back to my archives, and I got that story, and I have it here.  Open borders, bigger government, free college for everybody.  How many people already have free college by virtue of having their student loans forgiven or what have you?  Everything these people have tried has not worked, so they want to try even more of it.  “Bigger welfare state. Get rid of the guns, no oil, no banks.” Really?  That’s what the Democrats in the sixties were talking about when they were protesting Democrat Party convention in Chicago. This is so old, it’s predictable; I don’t even have to wait for these people to say it in a debate.  You know what they’re gonna be.  Trump, Carson, Fiorina, where are they today?  I am serious.  Where are they nuking this stuff?  Well, they’re running in opposition to it. (interruption) That’s why I’m asking.  They’re running for president.  Their points last night put their agenda forward.  Are you telling me you’re not gonna spend any time obliterating it?

Jim Quinn, The Burning Platform blog.  We find everything here, folks.  “Why This Feels Like a Depression for Most People.”  You read this, and you can figure out why the Millennials are weird or strange or feel that way, because they have come of age in a depression that nobody will call that.  Now, none of this in this story is new to those of you who have been regularly listening to this program.  But it is well thought out and presented here.  I found at the Zero Hedge blog.
