Flight 93 Crashed

Guest Post by The Zman

The sad story of Jeff Session and immigration patriotism came to an end in the Alabama senate run-off. Sessions was soundly beaten by former football coach and Mitch McConnell sock puppet, Tommy Tuberville. Of course, President Trump was ebullient, as he had campaigned against his old friend and supporter in one of his now typical fits of rage. He blames Sessions for his many blunders early in his tenure. Trump will not have Jeff Sessions to kick around anymore.

Five Faulty Premises of Russiagate

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Having watched some of the questions to former Special Counsel Robert Mueller by congress on Wednesday July 24, 2019, as well as Mueller’s dithering deflections – it was obvious the entire affair was another distraction; more of the same ongoing circus show.

Of course, no minds were changed. Those on the Left still consider Trump to be a comprised capitalist pig guarding his tax returns with all the fervor of any good Manchurian Candidate and those on the Right still viewing Mueller as a tyrannical tool of the Deep State.

After Mueller’s live testimony, this blogger listened to roughly thirty Americans calling into CNBC with their comments. Of those callers, only three were in support of Trump and with the rest of them effusively expressing gratitude to Mueller for his service in revealing Trump’s threat to American Democracy.

The Lingering Lies of the Liars are Languishing

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

In the wake of Robert Mueller’s very bizarre nine-minute press conference on May 29, 2019, there can be no doubt his special counsel investigation was a political sham orchestrated, from the start, to undermine the Trump Presidency and increasingly divide the country.  But the question remains whether or not we are witnessing legitimate legal warfare in the highest offices of American government or a Reality TV Live Action Role Play (LARP) designed to bleed the nation’s brakes before the big stop.

Indeed, for those seeking America’s demise, the Russian Collusion lie is the gift that won’t stop giving because it is, in fact, a wound that won’t ever heal. The damage is done and the psychology is so perfect it had to have happened either by destiny or design.

The seeds of destruction in the Russian collusion narrative remain rooted in the patriotism of both sides. No matter who wins in the end, it will be a pyrrhic victory because the other team will never surrender, accept any terms, or yield any ideological ground.  Any chance of compromise is long past, so it’s all or nothing going forward.  In fact, each side’s patriotism precludes any chance of concession.  The irony therein, of course, is that the entire slate of premises of one side are predicated upon, and perpetuated by, lies and deception.

A Satirical Dream: Trump’s 2019 State of the Union Address

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, Members of Congress, the First Lady of the United States, and my fellow Americans:

It’s been another year since your president has stood before you to, once again, deliver yet another State of the Union address.

Tonight, however, will not be the standard fare.  Instead of half-truths and false optimism, I am going to set aside all that in order to say what I believe is true.

Dear citizens, we now stand a crossroads and we must choose.  We must choose if we are to move forward and deal with the real problems facing our nation, or to progress as a country of corruption; whether to return to our roots as an honorable republic – a nation of laws,  or to continue our decline into lawlessness and the abyss.

IS THE Q FARCE OVER?

All the Qtippers hung their hat on Sessions being the stealthy behind the scenes savior of the Republic who was going to indict all the bad guys and truly drain the swamp. What say you now? Too bad Indentured Servant hit the road. He won’t be able to tell us he was wrong.

Sessions Was Told Wednesday That Trump Wanted Him To Resign: BBG

Update (3:55 pm ET): Jeff Sessions was reportedly informed on Wednesday by phone that Trump wanted his resignation. And now that Sessions’ former Chief of Staff Matthew Whitaker has taken over as acting AG, he will also assume control of the Mueller probe, according to Bloomberg. Unsurprisingly given Trump’s well-documented ironic aversion to firing people in person, Chief of Staff John Kelly reportedly delivered the news to Sessions in a phone call.

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly called Attorney General Jeff Sessions prior to President Trump’s news conference today to inform him that Trump wanted his resignation, a US official said.

Sessions is packing up his things and will address senior level staff in a private meeting before leaving DOJ for final time Matthew Whitaker, who previously served as DOJ’s chief of staff, is officially the acting attorney general and will take over Robert Mueller’s probe into Russia’s role in the 2016 campaign, the official said.

Mueller declined to comment on the matter, according to spokesman Peter Carr.

So, it looks like the Mueller probe really is in trouble.

DOJ Invites 24 State AGs to Jeff Sessions Meeting About Breaking Up Google, Facebook

Via PJ Media

On Thursday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that nearly half of the state attorneys general would be invited to a September 25 meeting with U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions to discuss whether social media companies are violating anti-trust laws. The DOJ announced the meeting last week, following the congressional testimony of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

LIBERALS NEVER SLEEP (AND NEITHER DOES JEFF SESSIONS)

Guest Post by Ann Coulter
The left is very close to having a governing majority due entirely to immigration. Despite the promise of the Trump campaign, there isn’t much standing in their way. Now, they’re just running out the clock. Soon, we will have admitted so many immigrants that it will be too late to do anything.

Although liberals pretend to have no idea where conservatives got the idea that immigration was designed to change the country and bring in new voters, they weren’t always so modest.

In a 1998 article for Cornell University’s Roper Center for Public Opinion Research, Democratic political consultant Patrick Reddy exulted that the 1965 immigration act was “the Kennedy family’s greatest gift to the Democratic Party.” Changing the country’s demographics through immigration would be “George McGovern’s revenge,” liberal political strategist Ruy Teixeira announced 16 years ago — and then celebrated as a fait accompli upon Obama’s election in 2008.

Trump: “I May Have To Get Involved” To Get To “Bottom Of Crooked Hillary Corruption”

Via ZeroHedge

With his back against the well after longtime Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg was granted immunity by US prosecutors one day after the National Enquirer’s David Packer received a similar deal, on Saturday morning Trump continued his attacks on Attorney General Jeff Sessions, accusing the former senator of not understanding “what is happening” at his Justice Department.

In a pair of tweets Saturday morning, the president wrote that Sessions was allowing Mueller “and his gang of 17 Angry Dems” to have a “field day” at the Justice Department with his decision last year to recuse himself from the investigation into the Trump campaign.

Jeff Sessions said he wouldn’t allow politics to influence him only because he doesn’t understand what is happening underneath his command position. Highly conflicted Bob Mueller and his gang of 17 Angry Dems are having a field day as real corruption goes untouched. No Collusion!” the president wrote.

Trump: Sessions is ‘scared stiff and missing in action’

Via The Hill

Donald Trump wearing a suit and tie

President Trump ratcheted up his attacks on Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Saturday, tweeting that Sessions was “scared stiff” and “Missing in Action” in defending him amid special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Trump slammed Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer at the center of the Trump dossier scandal, and the Justice Department and once again slamming Mueller’s investigation as a “witch hunt.”

“The big story that the Fake News Media refuses to report is lowlife Christopher Steele’s many meetings with Deputy A.G. Bruce Ohr and his beautiful wife, Nelly. It was Fusion GPS that hired Steele to write the phony & discredited Dossier, paid for by Crooked Hillary & the DNC….” Trump tweeted.

Binding Little Jeff

Guest Post by Eric Peters

In some states, it is illegal to drive faster than 70 on the highway. But in Texas, you can legally drive as fast as 85 on some highways. Because the federal government no longer dictates how fast you’re allowed to drive in any state.

For about 20 years – from 1974 to 1994 – the feds did exactly that. It was called the National Maximum Speed Limit (NMSL) and informally known as Drive 55.

Everywhere.

Those of us who suffered under it remember it well.

Ostensibly, the NMSL was imposed as a fuel conservation measure but it was enforced as a saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafety issue. Rates of travel that were legal – and presumably, safe – were made illegal (and unsafe) overnight, literally – by federal fiat.

Warring on Some Drugs

Guest Post by Eric Peters

An irony of the War on Some Drugs is that legal drugs – most notoriously, the pain medication oxycodone – are more of an objective threat to people’s health than illegal ones like marijuana, which can be used to treat the same conditions, but without the life-threatening (and ending) downsides.

Opioids – which are derived from opium – are often prescribed as painkillers. They’re effective, but the downside is they are enormously addictive. And – unlike marijuana – they can literally kill you.

Marijuana is also a very effective pain killer – but without the lethal downsides.

It is impossible to “OD” on pot.

Or even to become addicted.

Extremism Has a Hold on California

Last week’s visit to California by Attorney General Jeff Sessions showed just how extreme California’s leadership has become. For the elected officials of California who may have forgotten, the U.S. AG heads the United States Department of Justice and is the chief lawyer for the United States government. It’s kind of a big deal — rather an important position. Perhaps the holder of said position has earned a modicum of respect.

But that doesn’t really matter to California’s extremist legislators and government officials. Starting with Gov. Jerry Brown and on to Calif. Senate President Pro Tempore Kevin de Leon, Attorney General Xavier Becerra, Representative Maxine Waters, Representative Adam Schiff and Representative Nancy Pelosi, among others, as evidenced by their words, they believe that all who don’t hold their extreme views, which include subverting rule of law, are fair game for any verbal character assassination and abuse. Note Gov. Brown’s tantrum thrown against Sessions when he was here in California. The Trump administration is “full of liars” and is “going to war against the state of California,” Brown said.
