Here’s how the New York Times reported Mussolini’s rise to power 100 years ago

Guest Post by Mark Crispin Miller

The Times is HORRIFIED by Giorgia Meloni’s victory, screaming that it harks back to the swift ascent of Mussolini—which, back then, THRILLED the New York Times

Here’s how the Times (along with all the rest of “our free press”) has framed the news from Italy—in a story using the words “fascism” or “fascist” 27 times:

A Long, Hot Summer is Coming

Guest Post by Eric Peters

Whatever happens, it’s going to get ugly.long hot summer

If Trump is nominated, there will be riots – the Perpetually (and professionally) Aggrieved will take to the streets.

If Trump is denied the nomination, there will be riots – as the people come face to face with the true nature of the system they were taught to respect since childhood.

Not since 1861 has America been so clearly divided. These divisions transcend mere political differences of opinion over this or that policy. There is a fundamental schism. Irreconcilable differences. The two sides detest each other, have almost nothing in common. And so can no longer live together.

Trump has been likened to Hitler – which is unfair. He is no Hitler. He is a crony capitalist and some other things, too. Mussolini, maybe.

But he isn’t Hitler.Kasich

However, he is riding a wave – make that a tsunami – similar to the one that led to the chancellorship of the German Reich (as it was styled in those days) falling into the hands of the former gefreiter. The people of Germany had been driven to a state of desperation and frenzy by decades of economic evisceration of their country and thus, of themselves. Their country had been ruled over by a revolving, insular cabal of greedheads and frauds, some nothing more than puppets of financial interests, who milked the cow for their and their masters’ benefit.

Sound familiar?

TRUMP LOOKS LIKE….

I actually watched most of the GOP debate last night. It really was an out of control shitshow. The asshole CNBC questioners’ sole purpose was to try and make the candidates look bad with provocative, leading,  jerk-off questions. Even the crowd hated their fucking guts. The faux journalists were booed on multiple occasions. Are there no real journalists left? I have neither watched nor heard any of the MSM spin about who won. I checked about 8 on-line polls from both the left and right this morning. And virtually every poll showed Trump with 47% and the rest of the candidates in single digits. The anger against the establishment and their MSM mouthpieces continues to grow.

I thought Carson and Bush were the weakest on the stage. Trump had a few good lines. His “gun free zones” commentary will outrage the libs on the coasts, but just won him millions of votes in the heartland. I thought Rand Paul made the most sense on economics, but it is too little too late for him. Trump currently has a stranglehold on the nomination, unless something dramatic happens.

But there was one moment when the camera was panning to a candidate speaking to the left of Trump. He turned toward the candidate with a look on his face I’d seen before. I couldn’t place it. Then it hit me. He looked exactly like Benito Mussolini. Maybe a little foreshadowing.
