Update (2130ET): Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, have tested positive for the coronavirus during a trip to Australia, he said in a Wednesday Instagram post.

Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?

We’ll keep the world posted and updated.

Take care of yourselves!
Hanx!

In separate news, Utah Jazz All-Star Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus; “sources say Gobert is feeling good, strong and stable — and was feeling strong enough to play tonight.” The NBA’s reaction was instant: the game Gobert was playing in was canceled, and both the Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder teams and lockerrooms are currently quarantined. Nobody has left Chesapeake Arena.

Moments later the NBA announced it would suspend the season until further notice.

Update (2110ET): President Trump has ordered a complete travel ban from European nations for the next 30 days (beginning at midnight on Friday). The ban does not include the United Kingdom. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump called the coronavirus a “horrible infection” and said he was addressing the nation to talk about the “unprecedented response to the coronavirus outbreak.”

While Trump initially announced that the ban would also include “trade and cargo”, a subsequent clarification from the White House, perhaps upon seeing the market’s reaction, made it clear that Trump misspoke, and the ban does not apply to goods and trade.

Additionally, Trump laid out his plans for taking emergency action to provide relief for those suffering financial hardship due to the virus.

The President also said health insurance companies had agreed to waive all co-payments for coronavirus treatments and extend insurance coverage to cover coronavirus treatments.

*  *  *

Update (1950ET): As states around the country mull whether to follow Seattle and shutter their schools, we’ve received a reader tip claiming that Utah Gov Gary Herbert will announce on Thursday at 9 am MT that the state is shutting down all its public campuses of higher education. A press release will follow. The official date and duration is not know at this time.

Again, that’s according to an as-yet-unconfirmed tip, so treat it accordingly.

Of course, if this is accurate, that’s just another ~20,000 college kids about to go on an extended, cut-rate spring break.

*  *  *

Update (1937ET): Seoul has just confirmed that 99 cases have now been tied to an outbreak at a call center in Seoul’s Guro district, one of the busiest and most crowded parts of town. Low paid workers commuting from far away helped pass the infection along their route, creating another outbreak just as South Korea was getting the outbreak in the city of Daegu under contol.

The worry now is that a new outbreak could take root in the more heavily populated area in and around Seoul.

Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon made the announcement early Thursday in Seoul. It’s unclear whether these constitute new, or already counted cases.

Australia just announced a A$17.7 billion stimulus package to bolster its economy against the fallout from the virus, joining what’s becoming a growing list of developed countries that have acted more quickly than the White House to address that aspect of the crisis.

To be sure, the Trump administration deserves credit for swiftly working out a compromise with Democrats to pass an $8.3 billion spending package that increases funding for the CDC, FDA and the other agencies within DHHS, dole out money to the states, buy vaccines when they’re available and $1.25 billion for “international activities.”

What is the single largest cause of death? Life!

Think about that. You are all being manipulated and proving to fall in line with the authoritarian psychopaths. God told you to not have fear and what do you do? You fear! God told you to love your neighbor and what do you do? You make sure you are first in line to hoard resources from your neighbors – You are the condemned. All those who fear and fail to love thy neighbor are the condemned -you have failed to abide by the law before the supreme judge. You are not smart, you are not kind, you are not free- you are the condemned.

Another question, what is the single largest cause of slavery? Consent! Or in most cases the absolute demand for an authoritarian human master over you.

Think about that! Those who fear are not smart, friendly, desireable, joyful, credible or intelligent they are the absolute worst of human existence.

All those who fear this have lost ALL credibility forever; even beyond their Earthly existence.

It is getting more difficult to not give in to the panic and fear. It is part due to fact that I have the flu right now.. might be time to get to store and stock up on food for house. Who da thunk it! All these years here watching this Ponzi scheme unfold and this Sop had convinced himself that it would be outright war that would end this turning.

I stand corrected.

Instead it is a virus of dubious origin that has brought the world economy to its knees. Add to that Putin’s Russia starting a price war for oil with Saudi Arabia. All of it is going to have knock on effect in economy.

Say goodbye to energy independence for America.
Shale Oil in States and Heavy Oil in Canada.
Factor in the breakdown in trade.

That pretty much guarantees an implosion of Trillions of dollars in derivatives, Hedges and of course stocks.

And now the prescribed solution is to inject moar credit into system.. another hit and then.. soon its needle and the damage done..

The first stage of the Crack up Boom has commenced.

Anyone with a lick of sense could see this coming. The cascading effects will be horribly, frighteningly spectacular. The world as we once knew it is over….fact.

Hopefully if and when this pandemic gets resolved we will have learned some lessons and not repeat the mistakes that got us here. The major mistake is allowing bio4labs to continue doing what they do.

We don’t need any bio weapons and those who push for them should be drawn and quartered and then burned to ash and those ashes scattered to the four winds.

RiNs,

Many have posted some great advice on how to prep here. I had the Flu last month treated it aggressively and was over it in 3.5 days.

I believe the best tactic is to do is Vitamin C saturation especially with the liquid with Rose Hips and Bioflavonoids. Up to 6,000 MCG a day – you will get loose shit…so what.

There is no harm in large doses of it and tremendous benefit in fighting and killing this virus…and a lot of other health benifits, what your body cannot absorb you will piss out. Just take regular doses two/three time a day to spread out the intake.

The most powerful form of C is Liposomal. It goes directly into your blood to fight and kill viruses, not into your digestive tract like the other forms (that is much slower and less effective).

The other immune supporters are:

D (125 MCG or 5,000 IU)

Zinc (50 MCG)

Selenium (200 MCG)

Those 4 immune builders, virus killers are critical. Especially for the elderly.

They are finding out most of those who catch it and die from it have real deficient levels of Selenium. If you eat one Brazil nut a day you’re good, it is the number one food for selenium, but get some at the drug store as well.

Here is some more good information I posted on another thread, hat tip Da Professor & Flea,

1. Liquid Vitamin C with Rose Hips & Bioflavonoids

2. Liposomal Vitamin C

I believe they are two of the most essential and inexpensive preventive products to start taking for your immune system, and have on hand ‘in quantity’ in case you or a family member gets sick.

Below is an in-depth article about Liposomal Vitamin C and a segment from 60 Minutes about a famous case…watch the video.

I gotta question for everyone here..

We have been hoarding cash for past 4 months and I’m thinking of turning some of it into silver..

I am going back and forth about this…

Rins.
My view is this is no time to be in anything but PM’s, heres why. The market and dollar are as hyperinflated as possible. From here only the Fed buying stocks will stop the downtrend in the best case scenario for stock and dollar people we will stagflate like Japan. PM’s are going down partly as a kneejerk reaction to market drops and because the Banks with Fed complicity are still doing illegal short selling in the options market to keep the price down.
Now for the ridiculous argument that PM’s don’t earn a return. It doesn’t matter. They are not an investment vehicle, they are a wealth preservation vehicle though sometime the do return a big increase. One ounce of gold or silver will buy the same amount of housing or bread they bought 1,000 years ago or in the future. As soon as faith in the dollar collapses gold and silver will seek their true value on the upside. If you put your money in a cd you lose money after inflation. 3 months ago the dollar was only worth 2 cents in 1914 dollars. Since then the trillions of new printed money have further diluted it. That’s impossible with PM’s. Why does Jamie Dimon have the largest silver hoard on the planet if it’s not worth anything. Why have the top 3% and Central banks been accumulating gold at a hectic pace this last year while dumping equities and corporate bonds on the unsuspecting pensioners by way of their crooked managers. At this point it’s more important to have pm’s than what you pay for them. This bubble had to pop and the public even in Nova Scotia is gonna get fugly when they find out the punch bowl has been filled with Kool-Ade. Next up is world currency in the form of temporary SDR’s and gold will be most likely outlawed again but there will always be a black market.
I’m not an investment guru. I just learned to follow the money since Nam and as a result I know a lot about the history of wealth destruction. I also restored my late wifes nest egg she was planning to leave to her kids after the Dot Com collapse vaporized the bulk of the 1/2 million. It’s easy if your playing with someone elses money.

Lots of dollars are easier to hide in gold form but Silver is poor mans gold. also, when the dust settles large bars will be hard to make change for just because it will be worth s much more by then. The claim of 20,000 dollar gold is not far fetched if you consider the dollar inflation. Any way I prefer 1 oz. silver cuz I bee Po. I also have junk (90%) pre 65 silver. about 30 oz. in quarters and dimes for breaking down larger coins or bars. A loaf of bread will be a silver dime again. I don’t buy U.S. mint coins because of cost compared to silver rounds in 1 oz. because I’m only saving silver. I know from experience that people dealing in it when SHTF will know its value. However, some like Mint coins due to recognition factors and I don’t object but I have my own preferences. Go online to either JM or SD bullion and look over their products. They sell cheaper than most local dealers and I’ve bought from both and they are excellent. They also use stealth packaging which I appreciate. I’d rather have neighbors thinking I’m buying dirty videos than silver.

Yo, why build hospitals? There are tents, and those tents aren’t your ordinary pup tents. Nope, they are fully functional hospitals and they can be set up almost anywhere. Ever hear of MASH units? Field Hospitals? My father was an OR tech in what used to be called the 7th Evacuation stationed in Darmstadt, Germany. An OR tech is an operating room technician, they prepared the operating area and assisted the surgeons.

And where is the plumbing for all the hazardous waste generated?

Operating on someone not infectious in a tent is one thing but when the real problem is contagion, your primary need is sanitation and that’s not the best with a tent sitting on dirt or concrete.

The Chinese had the right idea. Use shipping containers as rooms. Stack them into a hospital configuration and modify them for the plumbing and ventilation required for containment.

Plumbing? You want that shit in the water? Please. What do you think incinerators are for? Those tents can be ventilated and negative pressure can be created. Any water needs to be treated and not tossed into sewers.

It’s plumbing that moves things to the proper method of disposal. You jumped the shark when you assumed it was going into the sewer system. Where’s the plumbing in your photo?

You can keep your tent. I would prefer a properly configured shipping container with doors that seal against salt spray normally.

The logistics of your idea are the problem. I have a shipping container and have sold a number of them as well. One semi with the right kind of 40 ft. trailer is needed per container. How many trucks with these trailers are available? One truck making multiple trips over many days or is there a fleet available, which is unlikely. You can pack an entire field hospital on one truck . How far would you have to haul them one at a time is just the beginning let alone finding a facility and the workers do do the mods which are normally done in a factory located near a port. It’s a swell idea if you are doing it in a port area as the containers and people who modify them for a living are there. Anywhere else and the field hospital, hard side tents etc. are superior for quick transport and set-up.

I use a few 20′ containers as a welding and wood shop. I’ve modified containers for businesses on the island, so I know they are difficult to work with, especially if the floor or underside is damaged.

Cutting through their skins with a plasma cutter is kid stuff. Grinding away the epoxy paint just requires the right discs on an angle grinder. Welding with TIG or MIG once the surface is clean is something tens of thousands of people know how to do.

China did it and I’m certain the US could do it IF there was the will and an urgency to pull it off.

Given that commerce is seriously slowing down, truckers are going to be looking for a load to haul. I don’t think transport would be an issue.

The major ports are adjacent to some of the major cities where population density is the primary contributor to infection spread and they have containers stacked up the wazoo. They also have the equipment to move them efficiently and the manpower that understands them, as you say.

What’s needed is the idea to use them, which the Chinese apparently had, and the orders to go out and geterdone (hat tip to Mygirl).

I’ll admit the Chinese had an advantage as they could call upon their container factories to produce brand new units completely customized by crews that build them. That’s a significant difference between what they did and what the US could do with existing used containers.

If Trump called Xi and ordered a few thousand of the pre-modified containers, I’d bet they’d be on ships in short order. Late is still better than never.

The tents are a sad alternative to a structural container that can be stacked at least 8 high to occupy a tiny foot print on the ground. You can call upon the trades to finish them out because they provide a solid surface to work with as opposed to a stiff cloth that can’t support anything of significance.

Don’t get me wrong – the tents are fine as a last resort or quick and dirty temporary solution, but I don’t want that thinking to limit possibilities.

Yo, manly engineer guy….Get over your impractical self and get real. Tents can be taken down or put up as needed. They can go on parking lots. Most large hospitals have those tents.
What you mistakenly call shipping containers that the Chinese put up were prefab modular buildings. I’ve had shipping containers, those structures weren’t shipping containers and where did those hospitals go up? Right next to a river. (Chinese waste treatment)
Your shipping containers are beyond impractical. They weigh a ton, need cranes and they are metal boxes, EMPTY metal boxes that need lots of stuff done to them to make them workable.

I find it very interesting that Tom Hanks (and his wife) has been diagnosed with the virus in Australia when the pedo word has been circulating around him quite a bit lately.

Have any POC been diagnosed?

This virus will make it convenient for Companies to lay off loads off workers without culpability. The economy crashes and irresponsible behavior, malfeasance, misdirection and misinformation we’ve been dealing with for YEARS ignored because THE VIRUS. The biggest Bait and Switch of ALL TIME.

Here, look at some xrays, autopsy xrays of lungs infected with corona virus. You honestly think companies WANT to go out of business, that this virus is an excuse to fire deadwood? Sheesh….get real.

Pneumonia permanently scars lung tissue, this virus causes viral pneumonia. It is highly contagious and hits the lower lobes of the lungs, something that doesn’t happen with flu, at least not in the early stages.

The CT scans of a 54-year-old woman who caught the coronavirus after travelling to Wuhan, China, show the same partial filling of air spaces.

I’m not implying there isn’t a virus or some people are not more susceptible than others. Only the virus provides a crisis to cover Assitis. Yes…companies want to downsize and get rid of as many employees as possible and still keep their businesses going. Employees have gotten way to expensive because of all the inane regulations protecting them.
I’m rooting for you MGM. I want you at the Farm Fiesta!

Yup. The Banksters get off Scott free and 2/3 of TBP clamoring for Martial Law with mygirl feeding the mob hysteria. Did anyone think of who will be operating the Power plants if they are worried about their families. Are we expecting truckers to expose themselves making regional deliveries to cities if they’ve been scared out of their wits by mygirl.

Flea…my thoughts exactly. Every time I turn the gas on the stove to cook, I breathe a sigh of relief.

Hard to work those matches, isn’t it? Then again, it’s not recommended that one keep their head in the oven once the gas is turned on.

Flea, at least she offered you a titty if you were stressed and scared out of your wits by her comments.

I offered him a fat ass, not a titty. I would offer him a horse’s ass to kiss, course he’d have to pull his head out of his ass first…..doubt he could too deeply entrenched. Then again, his looking into a mirror would also double as an opportunity to kiss a horse’s ass.

What I find amusing is how vehemently the denial is promoted. Like if they deny the impact the virus is having on all levels of living at present, then things will be normal and not scary. Sucks being so infused with normalcy bias.

No matter, the armchair quarterbacks will feel the effects of all this soon enough. Nothing like a healthy dose of reality, no matter how unpleasant.

Settle down you old piss ant. I know you don’t like a woman calling you on your shit, however, this particular woman has been educating herself rather than engaging in idle conjectures about conspiracies and it’s just the flu topics.
Admin just posted an article from Brandon Smith, said article mirrors what I think and have been saying for weeks now.

You’re the one being called on your shit. You’ve apparently been educating yourself on how to spread panic to the benefit of the deep State.

Why didn’t Trump ban travel from China, like a month ago? Maybe I missed the memo?

You talking about this?

“As Azar explained when he announced the travel restrictions on Jan. 31, the policy prohibits non-U.S. citizens, other than the immediate family of U.S. citizens and permanent residents, who have traveled to China within the last two weeks from entering the U.S.”

That’s not really a ban, is it?
