Places that got hit hard early have hit herd immunity- with seroprevalence way below what had been thought necessary- apparently because of other innate immune capability. Meanwhile the previously considered “success story” locations – S Korea, New Zealand, China – keep having outbreaks. They’ll be trying to suppress this virus for years after the US is done with it.

Last Wednesday, he and Secretary of Propaganda Goebbels rolled back restrictions on the capacity that restaurants, bars, social clubs, and lodging could operate. Wolf crippled them to 25% capacity. He didn’t order all non-life sustaining businesses to shut down. No counties in PA are in “lock down”.

And it’s just the tip of the iceberg; early deaths are a fraction of what they’re going to be. The weak are dying now, but those infected and are healthy will be dead in 2-3 years.

I’d like to hear your expert opinion on how to stop the spread of this terrible disease. You say yourself that it’s highly contagious, if so there’s nothing that can be done. Herd immunity and live your life. That’s it.

Never suggested that. The fact is “the simplest of precautions”, i.e.: face masks, social distancing, aren’t effective and literally nearly everyone will get the virus eventually and the “precautions” that include destroying what’s left of the economy aren’t worth the cost.
There will always be outliers and anecdotal contradictions to the prevailing wisdom.
I had a televisit with my doctor on Thursday. He’s been my primary care doctor for 20 years and I trust him. At the end of the call I said I had one more question: “Hydroxychloroquin- thumbs up or thumbs down?”
He chuckled and said “I wish it hadn’t become political. I wish we could point to the science for an answer but it’s become purely political.” He cited some other potentially useful therapies including an asthma inhaler medicine and some others and finished with “I wouldn’t be opposed to it”. He never mentioned a vaccine.

The asthma inhaler is Budesonide.
I take it as Symbicort@ for my emphysema. It never prevented me from getting the Flu or Bronchitis but I only take 160mcg twice a day. Sure helps my breathing though. Since I began taking Liposomal Vitamin C 2 years ago haven’t had so much as a sniffle. I used to get a severe chest cold twice a year in fall and spring. It matters for me because I only have -25% of my lungs and heart function and can’t expell moisture which allows cooties to hang out in my lungs.
Please stay in your closet because my mask will not protect your cowardly ass; you only have a 99.9 % chance of survival. From an old GI, to you personally sweetheart, you weren’t risking my life to protect your freedoms.

The tweet was talking about the Northeast Region. Click Northeast on your link and it is 100% the same. There is no longer a pandemic in the Northeastern U.S., but Democrat governors are locking down like there is.
