Actually, I only “got it” after the reveal video posted by Anon. The magician clearly stated that what he was doing was a clever “trick”. The real “magic” in his life was that his beautiful daughter was born healthy and his wife survived after being diagnosed with cancer and having to go through chemotherapy while pregnant.

Everybody today should understand that “magic shows” are all about distraction and deception and pre-staged or arranged items, therefore, I offer these as the methods used for this “magic trick”….
Simon and the book: The sharpie Simon had did not have ink in it anymore, it was dry. the page was predetermined and the word “hat” was already circled with a sharpie that worked. Notice that the magician took it away from him b4 he could write on something. The babe who was asked to say stop for a certain page, watch very closely as to when he gets to his chosen page, he stops b4 she says stop. Then the blonde gets to say stop for Simon to circle a word, he is only moving the book over the pre circled word. check out that he did not stop the precise moment she said stop. OK OK.
The blonde and rubics cube: Go ahead and mix it up, it doesn’t matter what she does. As he puts it back in the box and sets it down on the table, he gives a tap on top of the box and the correct pattern falls onto the cube from inside the box top section.
The babe with the card: He doesn’t palm any cards, he skillfully maneuvers the penguin card to the top of the deck BEFORE she gets to look at it. He is covering his hand to hide the shift.
The guy with the crayon: This is actually the hardest one to figure how he forces the red crayon to be picked. Again the “magician” opens the box of crayons and ……….. the guy picks the red crayon. (I’ll think on it).
I’m no expert with magic shows, however, I have 2 different friends, lifetimes apart, that performed shows, and the latter one even worked for David Copperfield for some time. I learned how tricks are set up and small stuff.
Watch it again with this in mind.

I’ll admit to being amazed by the presentation. At the same time, the skeptical part of me was thinking about the old familiar axiom of everything on TV being rigged. I also wanted to see in the closing segment, the daughter coming out on stage looking two years older than she appeared in the video.
It may be worthwhile at some point to view the anonymously-posted reveal vid (above) because it seems to have impressed The Stuckmeister.
Until then, however, I will say I admired the magician’s overall aplomb, courtesy, and humility; and it was an enjoyable few minutes spent on this fine Sunday morning. You know… before the chaos.

Penn and Teller have a show where magicians try to fool them. Doesn’t happen often. Teller is an amazing magician, with incredible hand skills. I saw them once, and Teller does a trick with a red ball on a string. It took him years to master – it seems impossible what he does, but it seems it is just prodigious slight of hand in how he manipulates the ball with the string to make it seem that the ball floats and moves as though by magic. I like those tricks best of all. The disappearing acts and such are illusions, but the stuff Teller does is technically incredible. As are some of the card tricks and slight of hand stuff.

If there is a better trick anywhere, anytime, I have yet to see it. This is absolutely stunning. The skill involved is astonishing.
