It is super creepy and I hate it, too. People are not only selfie crazy but now they have to make videos of themselves all of the time. What’s up with that?

Suddenly they have become more “valuable” to defending America than soldiers (not that soldiers defend America anymore). They love this shit.

They are laughing at us. I don’t for one minute these are real nurses. If the hospital is slow they send some of them home. Happens to my daughter fairly often.

My son’s mother works at a level 1 trauma center.

My son lives with me and is supposed to be quarantined due to a school mate testing positive for covid (yeah right). But mom knows ‘better’, and she’s ‘vaccinated’ (i doubt) so off to mommies house he went for Christmas eve. (It was that or her calling the police for kidnapping if I didn’t).

A LOT for these fvcking people have little god complexes. Oh, and they’re all hero’s and selflessly risking their health being on the ‘front line’. /s

Please. Does any of this look like a battlefield hospital? Is there a cart with a crier belting ‘bring out your dead’? Have any of you seen just ONE photo of a full capacity ICU yet? The parking garage that got converted, not one soul in ANY bed when they had their photo op.

Fuck them and their civil service contracts of 90k+. I want to go back to work.

In this social and political environment, I do not believe this is to be taken with any thought other than this is part of the physop. No administrator would allow this. Either that or this is something that was taken before Covid.

I work in the ICU. We don’t have time for dancing. Like when I was in the military, I don’t trust anyone in healthcare who doesn’t look tired.

Is your hospital overwhelmed with Covid?

We were at the start of the year. Right now we have a 32 bed covid unit and it is full with either positives or rule outs. My ICU is a 35 bed unit and it is varying between 1/3 to 1/2 covid. Overall census right now is low but that always happens during the holidays. After New Years we will be full to the brim with people who should have come in but stayed home for Christmas. I live in a part of Florida that gets a lot of snowbirds and when this started all my covid pts had East coast accents. Right now they are all locals. I am very concerned about what will happen come February when all the snow birds return. From March to June we barely kept our heads above the water and while the majority of the hospital was empty the ICU and Pulmonary units were full and frankly desperate. After a few months you develop a deep exhaustion that doesn’t get better with sleep.
BTW those videos of dancing staff are probably made on their off time. Very unlikely they are on the clock while doing that.

how many are dying?

The test says “Covid,” but are they really covid, or any of the countless respiratory illnesses that hit society every year around this time? And since there are virtually NO flu cases right now that they will admit to, I have to believe that flu/pneumonia is a huge player in all of this. I won’t deny that hospitals are full. That is how they stay in business. Nobody builds for 50% capacity. But what are they REALLY full of disease wise??

COVID IS this year’s flu!

Right now the deaths that I believe are from covid are sporadic. Earlier in the year we were losing an average of three to four a week. The true covid pts are different from common respiratory ailments. The virus breaks up the part of the blood that carries oxygen through the body. The classic ground glass chest xray isn’t showing infection, it is showing the lungs being overwhelmed with heme which has separated from the red blood cells and is flooding the the body with excess iron. Covid causes an increase in the clotting factor of blood as well. The typical fatal result pt is an older or health impaired individual. Say someone with end stage cardiac or COPD and their 02 sat, (the measurement of the oxygen in their blood) just keeps dropping and nothing we do stops it. Increasing their oxygen, BI-PAP, intubation and vent have no effect. Over the course of several days it decreases until they literally suffocate. There is some evidence that excessive exposure can cause the disease in healthier individuals which could explain why you hear of fairly young healthcare workers dying from it. I personally believe that it is an engineered virus and there were two scientists from India who published a paper stating that they had taken the thing apart at a genetic level and found HIV, SARS, and MERS attached to a fairly easy to catch covid virus. This could explain why some people have mild infections because the receptors, (those little arms sticking out from the virus) present different aspects. You get a covid receptor you are mildly sick. A SARS one and you are severely ill but usually get better. The HIV one might cause long term chronic health problems which we have been seeing in some people. While the MERS one will freaking kill you. This would also explain why there appears to be little immunity to the thing. Even if you have been sick with it.
I was around when HIV first came out. We didn’t have a name for it. We didn’t know how it was transmitted or if our PPE would protect us from it. March through June of this year reminded me of those days. I was working full time plus during those months. We had so much need and our own staff started to get sick and leave us even more short staffed. Once things started to level off I went part time and partially retired.
Since someone is going to ask I will say that no, I will not personally get the new vaccine. It hasn’t been given proper trials for me to believe that it is safe. I remember another rushed vaccine for swine flu during the Ford administration and all the Guillain-Barre Syndrome pts we had after that fiasco.
I also don’t believe in the lockdowns. There is a reason why flu is almost non existent right now. Everyone is wearing masks and washing their hands. I don’t wear a mask in public to protect me from catching something, I wear a mask to protect other people from catching something from me. Because of where I work I am a risk to others and I am very conscious of that.
Take from this what you will. I have been in healthcare for 34 years and this is after all just my opinion.
There is a political angle to this outbreak that I am not going to get in to but it is a large part of what is going on.

Thanks for the information. First I’ve heard of the 4-pronged virus.

What do you have to say about Ivermectin?

Doesn’t explain why this Frankenstein virus doesn’t affect those younger than xx.

This means it is NOT a pandemic.

I don’t know enough to have an opinion about Ivermectin. I first heard about it two weeks ago. Hydroxychloroquine supposedly helps in the same way it defeats malaria. It prevents the destruction of the heme function in the red blood cells. Children can catch the virus but it is usually the mild form and the theory is two fold. One. They lack underlying health problems. I have never had a pt die on me who didn’t have a major health condition prior to infection. (This includes smoking. I had a guy who was only 45 but was a chain smoker and the virus tore him up.) Secondly, their immune systems are still developing. This might help make them more immune to the severe versions. Just like it has happened where small children cut off the tip of a finger and it grows back. That doesn’t happen with adults.
This is all theory, at this time no one knows for sure.

Fido,

I have a lot of questions about what you are posting here.

Kids with underdeveloped immune systems is helpful? Are you saying kids can beat MERS? That does not make sense to me. No, I am not in the medical field much less a Dr. but THAT does not compute with me.

Wouldn’t you agree Covid does not meet the standard of being called a pandemic?

As I said it is a theory and no one actually knows for sure. When I look up the definition of pandemic it said, “a pandemic is defined as the “worldwide spread” of a new disease.” I don’t know if it is or not. I only look at what I and my peers are facing every day we walk in to work. Taking care of pts and trying to not get sick ourselves in spite of inadequate PPE. I leave the labels to the politicians.

The definition of pandemic was changed not too long ago.

A pandemic is indiscriminate.

This could be entirely accurate: as you can tell from the flags under the post, this is from Europe, Italy, where they have socialized medicine. This could be about how hard everyone works in socialized medicine.
