If I were to venture a guess, I would say that the 1918 pandemic lowered life expectancies by a massive amount, while the current plannedemic has had virtually NO impact on life expectancies.
Do I win the prize? But it is hard to imagine that life expectancies were lowered that much by the influenza alone, especially when you also had a world war going on that was taking the lives of millions of 15-25 year olds (and others caught up in the fighting).
