well, in keeping with continuing the mask insanity until forever, it didn’t take long for several texas retailers to completely fucking reverse their updated “no mask required” policy for customers after gov. abbott did away with the state wide mask mandate.
specifically albertson’s grocery chain and their other branded stores completely flipped back to “MASK REQUIRED” after saying that as of 10 march they would no longer require the goddamn things to be worn by customers. in the 48 hours since abbott’s announcement, along with media attacks against them for their updated policy, i imagine their corporate heads also got massive pushback from pissed off karen’s and other assorted hypochondriacs over their decision to allow the masses to enter their store chains bare faced and they just didn’t want to have to deal with the backlash of boycotts, people screaming at each other, fighting in the frozen foods section or other confrontations that end with a clean up of spilled blood in aisle 7. they won’t be the only chain that caves back to the psychos.

If all their customers ignored their mask rule, there would be no way to enforce it. In my state, Walmart and Lowes mandate masks, and most of their customers ignore them–and any Karen wanting to spout off against someone’s bare face would find themselves surrounded, outnumbered and told to mind their own damm business.
