The Minister was pleased.
It all was so beautiful on this fine Easter Sunday morning.
The church was full to overflowing with a large congregation of the faithful.
Definitely more than almost every other Sunday of the year.
All ages of people, dressed in their Sunday best, with plenty of yellow, pinks, whites…
Beautiful hats and dresses on the ladies; men in suits and ties.
And children. Plenty of children.
After a fine hour of prayer, hymns, and thanksgiving, the church leader invited
all of the children in the congregation to gather up on stage.
The minister calmed everyone down, and with a glowing smile, spoke into the microphone.
“Children of the church…who can tell us why we celebrate The Resurrection?”
From the front of the pack, little Johnny steps up to the mic and says:
“I ain’t sure why, but if it lasts more than four hours, we should go see a doctor!”
