An inmate said he loved her big time and when he got out they would be a couple. He talked her into giving a cuff key to him so he could give it to another inmate going to state pen. Inmate got loose and escaped van in Old Town Fort Collins resulting in a chase and capture. Deputy earned her own hard time. I hope Sheriff learned not to hire females with low self esteem.

I have always thought it a mistake to put women in the police force. Here is my recipe for disaster:
1. Take the weaker half of the population and put them in uniform.
2. Cover them from head to toe in weapons.
3. Send them into very dangerous situations against people that can easily physically overpower them.
4. Weak police officer has no option but to use deadly force otherwise those weapons covering her from head to toe will be used against her.
Nothing happens by accident when pigs pull hardware or either non/lethal lol.

It appears to be a Glock so no safety as per a 1911 and no external hammer so yes it would be carried racked and ready. Glock basically has a trigger safety and will not go off unless trigger is depressed. 1911 has mechanical thumb safety and grip safety so should not go off unless gripped in hand. My Primary CCW is a Glock and I carry it racked and loaded, it would do me no good if I had to draw and rack a round in the chamber.

That’s what revolvers are made for, and a good one will have a better trigger pull than any Glock made.
I’ve carried a 1911 since the military so I’m not familiar with Glocks, but the safety is so simple to flip on the draw I’m not sure how there’s much of difference unless you’re one of those trick shooters. No safety seems like a bad choice for an untrained cop. Fatal in this case, for both of them. Her life is over even if she sticks around for another thirty years.
Still I can’t quite fathom how you could confuse a taser with an automatic, but then I’m not a cop.
