I didn’t understand the downvote myself. The constitution did have a few flaws. One prominent mistake was how the Constitution could be amended. The founders could have either disallowed subsequent amendments past the first 10 amendments, allowed subsequent amendments with 3/4 of congressmen to propose instead of 2/3 majority, or allowed amendments upon proposal by 3/4 of the state legislatures. Granted these changes could only slow, not stop, the inevitable death of this republic.
I was amazed when I saw it, specifically before my first cup of joe who is still brewing.
I doubt even most here are more than passingly familiar with the basis of all US law. It is a disgustingly inadequate document for any peoples, but it doesn’t even matter if it is ignored, which it has been since the first congress.
This document we were all brainwashed to worship as “the most perfect form of government to date” took 18 years from when it was written to when the last colony signed it – for a reason. It is still full of holes and subterfuge which are still being used against the people. The anti-Federalists were correct about every single criticism they offered and still it is the Federalist Lies that are taught in classrooms.
