Back when I was on the left—or, rather, way back when there was a left throughout the West—Canada was notable for offering asylum to Americans who didn’t want to serve in Vietnam.
That, of course, was only one side of the story. The other side concerned that government’s prior (and more covert) acceptance of a lot of Nazi war criminals, who were brought there in considerable numbers (just as they were quietly brought into the US).
That part of the story is more relevant today, as Canada veers into the same bio-fascist order that also comprises Australia and New Zealand—and China: a disorienting merger of the British commonwealth and CCP, within which (one might call it) New World Order it will be ever harder to discern the difference between Shanghai, Sydney, Wellington and (if this northern trend continues) Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.

During a hearing on Canada’s attempt to regulate what users can say on the internet, Bill C-11 (The Online Streaming Act), the head of Canada’s broadcasting and telecommunications regulator again confirmed that the far-reaching regulations will apply to user-generated content.
Ever since the bill was announced, critics have been warning that it empowers the Canadian government to censor the content users post to social media platforms by forcing these platforms to abide by content rules set by Canada’s broadcasting and telecommunications regulator – the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
These fears were confirmed by CRTC Chairman Ian Scott earlier this month when he acknowledged that Bill C-11 would apply to user-generated content. And in an appearance at Tuesday’s Canadian Heritage committee hearing, Scott reaffirmed that Bill C-11 allows the CRTC to regulate “user uploaded content.”

Canada to temporarily decriminalize certain drugs in BC
Canada’s government announced Tuesday it will allow the province of British Columbia to try a three-year experiment in decriminalizing possession of small amounts of drugs, hoping it will help stem a record number of overdose deaths by easing a fear of arrest by those who need help.
The policy approved by federal officials doesn’t legalize the substances, but Canadians in the Pacific coast province who possess up to 2.5 grams of illicit drugs for personal use will not be arrested or charged.
The three-year exemption effective Jan. 31 will apply to drug users 18 and over and include opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA, also known as ecstasy.

Gun rights are only rights in the US as far as I know. “Rights” is a very misused term. Many nations do not enshrine rights, but rather make laws. The US Constitution and the Bill are very, very unique.
As far as Oz goes, there isn’t really a problem having guns. Some are restricted, but can be had with some jumping through hoops. But everyone in my area has a bunch. Brian, I share the affection Americans traditionally have for Canucks and pray for their deliverance from evil. But as Iska points out (below) they reelected this prick. Was the election a farce like 2020 in America? We can bet on it but that he got enough votes to make the theft possible is a sad commentary. SKS. The ultimate militia weapon. Completely self contained with bayonet and cleaning kit all on board. They all work well but the Yugo Zastava is a really finely finished version.
I have several varieties. Chinese Norinco is the worst finished, but still works nearly as well as my Tula. They are all as reliable as a wood stove.

I have not seen a Norico SKS for sale in Canada for years. Pissed that I sold one of mine cheap a while back.
Nothing wrong with Norico….. for the price. They are functional but not ‘tuned’. A little bit of work and an NP22 is little different from a Sig 226 it copies. Same with the SKS.
Lever Arms used to carry crates of them… Haven’t been there for a few years either because of it being in hongcouver, covod and cash… Looks like they still have plenty of chinese sks parts etc… Russian refurb’d sks’s are available $550 CAD
A quick search and the $550 seems about right. Mine average out at about $300 cost each. Crazy ammo inflation too, as the last 720 can I burned through I bought for $99 on sale. Now ~$270.
Just remember, these are semi-auto “weapons of war”. The Turd will outlaw all semis next, or at least the “weapons of war” ones, like the SKS. Kind of surprised it was not in the OIC “scary black gun” ban last time.

I always buy bulk and the crates of 7.62 have always been priced right. The only thing holding me back from buying a crate of sks’s and ammo… no disposable cash. Otherwise the fellas at Lever would be helping me load the back of my pickup about now…
Hard to get good ammo for an SKS in Canada. That old Russian stuff, cheap, but misfires and will burn your barrel out if you are not diligent. My favourite was my Mare’s Leg in .357, after the .308 of course.

I don’t agree on the ‘people’. Canukistan is a smaller version of the US and so we reflect a lot of whats happening there. Ontario and Quebec are the same as DC in the US, always has been. The cities are where the communists flock to and control the way the rest of the provinces and the country goes. Nearly everything outside of the cities are conservative folks spread far and wide.
