I had turnip greens for lunch and was reminded what they bring with them.
Should have had a 10oz. prune juice chaser with those greens for a more memorable outcome!
I can eat a lot of greens, but cannot handle prune juice.

Yall reminded me of the two old buddies having coffee one morning: 1st man brags, “finally trained my dog to eat turnip greens”. 2nd man laments, “I tried and tried but my dog wouldn’t touch em.” 1st man replies, “Mine wouldn’t either for the first week.” Reminder: Time to plant fall greens as soon as the triple digit temps drop off. Yep. Fall garden will get started up here in about 3 weeks with some indoor seed planting. We got a nice shower today and they are calling for more over the next 4 days, so maybe it will kill off these days of at or near 100. The neighbor told me his field peas are ready and to come pick a couple of buckets so I will be out early in the morning getting some peas to shell. Life in the country is good.
