You’d think if Griner was a dude, the Russian police or jail would have discovered that pretty quick when Griner was first arrested and incarcerated. Getting arrested for drugs usually means invasive searches of ones person.

Looking at Griner’s physique and listening to her interviews made me wonder if she’s intersex like South African runner Caster Semenya. The external bits are female, but there are some genetic and internal abnormalities that cause elevated testosterone and other male characteristics. This could explain Griner’s tall height for a female, and her rather deep voice.
