I’m going make the Anarchy one my logo. At one point I went on a rant about one more instruction to WASH MY HANDS. Then we got a new car that says, obey all traffic laws, after you plug in an address in GPS. Grit my teeth.
My 2022 VW Golf GTI actually put a message on the screen when I opened the windows to close them because I was lowering my fuel economy.
My guess is that the US Government thugs got VW to submit to a laundry list of demands in the aftermath of the ‘diesel crisis’ that it (our government) created … and part and parcel of that is the whole ‘IQ.drive’ system on new VWs that you cannot disengage other than every time you start the car — and, even then, some functions of it cannot be disengaged.
I’m curious about the prospect of some sort of external control of these cars as time goes on — and how we might be able to counteract it — or even remove it entirely.
If anyone knows how to do so …
Trade your 2022 junker for a pre-2000 turbo diesel truck
We had a 1991 Toyota diesel, left hand drive, but sold it to finance our shop. Priorities.
That thing could go anywhere though. A monster.
We also had a 1958 international truck (bought for $1 previously) with a new engine (from around 2000). It sold to a farmer in IRELAND. This was in 2020 and it took awhile for him to get it freighted there with all the stuff going on. A truck driver finally came (to Montana)that only spoke Russian, I think it was.
Just was interesting to us hicks.

Went to the store today and got asked if I need a bag. Sure, total before 4.92 +( 0.05 + 13%tax)= 4.98. So instead of paying 4.90 here in Canad’uh cause we round to the nickel. I paid 5.00. A 5 cent bag eh? Petty short change cash complaint.
