There will not be a nuclear war with Russia. Ukraine will be decisively defeated, however, and we will do nothing. The result will be the final end of the post-1945 world and the so-called “American Empire”, a term that triggers my gag reflex. I work overseas. Believe me, U.S. power and influence is evaporating by the day and this will eventually be reflected in the destruction of our fake economy and an epic withdrawal from the rest of the world.

A big problem many people have is that they hear, read, or see something and they accept it as if it were reality. Scott Ritter- whatever he may or may not be in terms of expertise- is a man who cannot control his own eating habits. While this may not seem connected to his comments about thermonuclear war, it bespeaks volumes about character and temperment. I know who he is, I’ve been reading his tuff for 25 years, way before he became a “dissenter”. He has a track record of proclaiming that nuclear threats are imminent when in fact they were made up stories. He was an Intelligence officer in the Marines and worked for the UN for a decade. He claims to have had a long relationship of an official nature with British MI6, England’s CIA. And he did time for corruption of a minor. And here he is, big as day, on YouTube, banging the nuclear war drum again.
Pardon me if I try and assure people that his declarations ought to be taken with a grain of salt.
It was just the flu and there isn’t going to be a thermonuclear war, but feel free to hide under your desk as the mood strikes, you never know.

I don’t get the hopium comment because I am from the camp that believes the story of Pandora’s Box was badly misinterpreted. The box- jar actually- was filled with the miseries of man and they all escaped save one. That’s how the myth is written. How hope became a positive thing is a Western faux pas. Hope is a crippling disorder that prevents man from tackling the troubles he must face, it prevents him from taking action and that’s not my approach to life. If something is wrong you have within you the power to change either the conditions or your reaction.

It’s important to me to discuss the world frankly with people I care about so that they may either take something from it, or dismiss whatever doesn’t fit. While not as effective as confidence, hope is an expression of optimism. Many things are not within the ability of the individual to control. While yes, you may effect your own reaction, that may still have no bearing on the outcome. Fear may be paralyzing but for many hope is a raison d’etre.
