We , in 5th grade , made mock explosive model volcanoes by combining baking soda & vinegar. A little red food coloring made the expanding foam look like ” Lava “.

Since you brought that up…. I always thought all Commercial Airplanes could be remotely flown and landed……Some kind of security thing after 9/11……
This is true. My son bought me some hours in an authentic 747/400 simulator a few years ago (as used by airlines) and I can confirm that the damn thing, took off, circuited and landed all on its own. It was a sobering experience. Flying it was a dream, easy and slow. I am now convinced that in the event of a SADS I could successfully be talked down and become a hero!! I’m much happier flying these days!

Yes I guess so,AA – taxiing wasn’t included in the Sim.
Tesla is working on correcting this now. For all non-sim aircraft

I saw that Motel from a bit of a distance back in the early to mid-90s.
Was at the Estes Park for New Years weekend. Stopped by the Stanley for lunch. Very cool place, but the restaurant is way overpriced and overrated.
There is some great Bourbon tasting at the Stanley and around town.
Best place to eat that we found (been there twice on as many trips) is The Rock Inn. Very good food and live music in a nice mountain lodge atmosphere.
I went to school in Fort Collins, but that was a long time ago…everything has changed. Only thing I can recommend is a Brewery tour. New Belgium (Fat Tire) is there, but also Odell, which, which for my money makes better beer across the spectrum. In any case, there are literally hundreds of Microbreweries in Colorado and its hard to gor wrong.
If you ever make it down to Denver, drop me a line….maybe we can get a beer.
