if you have a cat, most all breeds, have false eyes above their real eyes. When their eyes are closed, look and you will see that the stripe above their eyes looks like a pupil. That way when they are asleep, it still looks like their eyes are open

I live in a rural area with lots and lots of insects. You don’t mess with them, they don’t mess with you. We have lots of bees out here for pollination. They are very curious. They will fly up and look you right in the face. If you don’t freak out and thrash about, they just look at you and move on. You freak out, they freak out and you get stung. There have been times when I had a dozen bees flying around my head and they are just nice as can bee! LOL
….Yep, been telling her that for 30+ years but she had a traumatic insect event as a kid and hasn’t shaken the fear. She’s much better than when we met but she has somewhat learned to heed the urge to thrash about, but the sheer terror causes her to shake and whine in terror.
Some insects are hard to ignore.
We just moved to a different home and became acquainted with 8inch venomous red headed centipedes. I stopped short of screaming out loud like a little girl, but was screaming on the inside.
I caught and released the centipede away from the house. Scorpions are fairly numerous and are poisoned and stomped on. No mercy for them.
10 Feet around my houses is scorched earth. Poison is sprayed twice a week. In my area we have little scorpions and thank God we do not have those centipedes. There would be no relocation for those.
Yep. Many times I have been pulling weeds in the beds with bumble bees hovering around the flowers. They know I am not a threat, unless I get too close to their nest. The noise let’s me know to skip that area.
We got some bitch wasps that would go out of the way to sting if you stood still, or if you freaked out, they don’t give a shit
Ground wasps are the worst. You can’t even see the nest in the grass, but when you step in it, they have NO mercy. I was once stung a dozen times for my carelessness. That evening, I introduced them to my little friend, Raid Wasp & Hornet.
When they are swarming, they are quite docile. Their only focus is following the queen. They rarely sting unless provoked or you’re messing around near their hive entrance.
