Of course aliens and demons exist. Did we just not live through three years of the Pestilence?

I usually stay out of these sorts of conversations, as a great many people already have their minds made up, so no questioning is allowed. This is the way it has been taught to us in churches (and, until recently, schools), “this is the gospel and it comes from God so no discussing it.” Please, for once, let us not allow ingrained opinions rule, and try to keep it simple. Religion only complicates and/or limits these conversations.

Let me be very clear, I am not bashing anyone’s beliefs. Whatever God you choose, insomuch as it is not an anti-God, is a good thing. As long as you believe that no man could have or did create life is all that is necessary. We all know there is more to this world than what we can see. It is just as possible there are things around us at all times whom neither we nor they are even aware; some claim to have seen these, calling them ghosts and spirits. But we all feel it: there is Something Else, some unseen force, that binds us together. Conversely, that force also tears us apart.

So, what is It? Well, there is no clear answer.

Personally, I believe that I and everybody else, and this whole world, and everything around us, was constructed by a higher being, and made just for us. It could be that every single light we see in the sky is another world, filled with other life forms, yet made by the same hand. Why would something who created us and everything around us not give the blessing of life to others too? It would explain how early Sumerian/Egyptian/Mesopotamian/Mayan/Incan peoples all wrote on stone walls and made ornate statues about unearthly creatures with advanced technology who zipped around on flying conveyances, as we are also a young planet/species. Hubris is to believe otherwise; the evidence is real. We have had visitors.

From what I have gathered, as best I can understand it, and the option which makes most sense to me is, once there was nothing, just space, infinite space and cold dark. Something anti-darkness jail broke it, and there must have been quite a lot of resistance, because when it broke through, it poured in like a stampede, and had plenty of hot, light energy. Then, because the darkness was not vanquished, it pushed back, which made waves in the anti-darkness. The agitation of cold and hot caused pockets of warm air, like bubbles, to form. These warm bubbles contained the energy and anti-energy which made them. Not being able to escape, these energies found ways to interact. They found a balance. Once they had obtained equilibrium, but still with the need to fight, these forces began to unite themselves in infinite configurations. Yet they all obeyed one immutable principle: balance.

You will notice there is not too much space, nor too many stars, because there is equality (not equity — since everything is still here and the darkness did not win… and yes, that is a double entendre). Whenever things are out of balance, Universally and with ourselves, we all feel it. We are all different, by design, but the same bits of light and dark which started life. And we instinctively know when there is too much of one, and work to resolve it.

My opinion is, we are a result of the clash between these two, dark and light, and are one of its configurations. We seem to have both of them inside us; but, since they are fighting to a stalemate, sometimes one side wins and the other loses. This is why, I believe, some people are filled with one and not the other; why some of us are more tuned to the darkness than the light, and vice-versa; why some are wildly successful and others abject failures. Still, we are all in their thrall. Just like they need each other, they need us and we them. We are like missing pieces in a huge puzzle: The Big Picture. I think this answers the why we are here.

OK, but if light and dark are duking it out constantly, who is minding the store? Obviously, there is something/s else who has strict rules that are followed by every living thing — including light and dark, for if not surely one of them would have won. Yet something is keeping them in check; why? Why are they struggling in the first place? What caused them to hate/need one another?

I just feel like we are part of something wonderful and terrible simultaneously. We are capable of great beauty, and just as much ugliness. But the struggle I feel in myself is like being torn between someone else’s war, and if others did not feel the same we would all know peace. It is this instability that affects us all. Yes, we are supposed to be here, but for what — as a spectator or participant? Can a bit of energy as infinitesimally small as me, compared to the forces which made everything, even be considered relevant in such a conversation?

I see you are searching for the answers; but before you can do so, ought you not first understand what (or whom) it is you are questioning? I think the real question, rather than, “Why am I here?” is instead, “What do you want from me?” I consider this to be the underlying frustration inherent in every one of us. I would be OK if I never found out why I was here, because in Universal terms, I hardly ever was, or am. I accept that I am here; why is irrelevant; evidently something wants me to be here, perhaps as a witness to its creations or as a cog in a wheel. Either way, I am powerless to change it.

Thus again, the question is: “What do you want from me?” I mean, I know I am. I know I exist. How does that benefit me? It seems life would be here with or without me. So would death. But what made me so special to have been chosen for a chance of either? If I am so insignificant, just a trifle really, then of what use am I to these larger forces? What do they want? What can I possibly give that they do not already have?

Many of you would say “my eternal soul,” but if that is true, then it implies I have lived before, right? Or at least, never died? Because that is eternity, my friends. Life and death are meaningless to eternity. And even if I am just a grunion of eternity, then I am part of the ageless, battling forces — but an integral part nonetheless. Maybe these forces just needed an audience. They both have vanity, for sure.

Well, I hope I have been of some help. This is pretty much the way I understand things, and I also understand others see it their ways too, as I said in the beginning. I would like to add that had I not been willing to entertain other concepts, put myself in others’ shoes, listened to their points of views, I would not be here to talk now sensibly. I would encourage people to at least consider the fact that no one man knows everything — and never will — so squabbling about what is or is not “God’s Will” is ridiculous. It is “God’s” will that we are here, and have been given the gift of life to enjoy all creation. I refuse to believe anything that gave me life did not intend it to be anything other: a gift.
