Amid the Absurdity of Clownworld: How Should We Then Live?

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

I believe people are as they think. The choice we make in the next decade will mold irrevocably the direction of our culture… and the lives of our children.

– Author and theologian Francis A. Schaeffer in 1976

The picture at the top of this article shows one of America’s founding fathers according to Google’s Gemini image generation tool.  Pursuant to complaints about the blatant inaccuracy and the ensuing maelstrom of negative press coverage, Google claimed it was “actively working on a fix”. Nonetheless, there remain claims that Google is “not telling the truth” and the company will never give up on its “desire to reshape the world in a specific way”.

Indeed.  It appears artificial intelligence, woke relativism, and Orwell’s “two plus two equaling five” are here to stay. And the “memory hole” first conjured by Orwell has increasingly manifested in The Borg’s nearly completed Simulacrum – as misinformation, false flags, and propaganda daily populate our collective screens.

With that in mind, amid the absurdity of Western culture in the twenty-first century, I will often seek credible information and insights where they are more surely found: in the printed past, and by the words of authors and researchers mostly forgotten.

Having written previously on the prescient prognostications of twentieth-century thinkers like C.S. Lewis and Augusto Del Noce, another book was recommended by a commenter in the thread of my last article.  The book was said to have predicted the decline of empirical science, the rise of technological science, and a frightening future.

Christianity, Another Failed Western Institution

Little Town of Bethlehem- by Francis A. Boyle, Professor of International Law

Every Western institution has failed.  Governments represent powerful material interests, not citizens. Universities and public schools are indoctrination centers against Western civilization and white people.

On the Violence in the Middle East…

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Like most of the world, I have been considering the Israel / Gaza slaughter with fascination and a sense of dread.   Did Israel allow the events of October 7, 2023 to happen? It appears so. Were the savage acts of Hamas sickening? It appears so. Have the ensuing actions of Israel in Gaza been devastating? Yes.

Have the reactions of the general public in nations around the world, and on the internet, become increasingly polarized? Definitely.

Geopolitical expert and former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter has predicted Israel will lose this war, and deservedly so.

At the height of the hysteria during the build-up to Operation Desert Storm®, and in the jingoistic fever of the newly coined War on Terror®, Ritter claimed Saddam Hussein had zero Weapons of Mass Destruction®.  Ritter was right back then, so, now, I pay attention whenever he addresses global tensions.

The Siege of Szigetvár

Him who was willing to undergo Suleiman’s wrath—
That same Suleiman’s mighty arm,
He at whose saber Europe trembled.

The Siege of Sziget, Nikola VII Zrinski Zrínyi Miklós

What makes a man fight on when no hope is left?

What turns him into a lion when cornered, selling his life dearly; all so that his brothers may yet live?

What spurs a man onward, knowing death is certain; knowing his doom lays before him, and yet, he rides out all the same?

Battles such as Thermopylae, Masada, and Antioch; Tenochtitlan to Gandamak; Little Bighorn to the Alamo; all perfectly capture the essence of the last stand – a battle against all odds. All provide us timeless lessons, and not just on battlefield tactics and military history. Last stands provide a sobering and yet critical look into the heart of a warrior: a look at the caliber of men — fighting for causes both righteous and unrighteous — who carved out their places in history with bronze, iron, and blood. Today we will explore one of the most underappreciated battles in this category: The Siege of Szigetvár, or as Cardinal Richelieu stated, “the battle that saved civilization.”

Alchemical Weapons for Economic Wars

Usury is a weapon; a pernicious and unrivaled weapon, capable of bringing even the mightiest foe to heel. The defining economic minds of the ages — from Aristotle, Adam Smith, Karl Marx, to John Maynard Keynes — all viewed usury as a major vice if not an outright evil. It is a slow drip of venom in a civilization’s veins, inevitably bringing the borrower low in it’s alchemical grasp. Our enemy is keenly aware of this powerful weapon, particularly given that the Mystery religion’s temples — the pyramids and ziggurats — also served as banks & mints in which these ancient rites were practiced. The modern financial system is no less steeped in these philosophic and alchemical realities, as some of the most storied economists in history will attest to. Fiat currency is quite literally the Philosopher’s Stone made real: it is the ability to create something of value out of nothing.

The Metaphysics Underlying The Sunset of the West

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

-Proverbs 16:25

The heart is deceitful above all things…

-Jeremiah 17:9

When small men cast big shadows, it means the sun is setting.

– Lin Yutang, Chinese philosopher

Upon the recommendation of a blog commenter, I recently read “The Crisis of Modernity”  by Italian professor and philosopher, Augusto Del Noce (1910 – 1989).  The book was published in 2014 and is a brilliant compilation of twentieth-century essays and speeches by Del Noce.  His philosophical insights are profound and his conclusions and societal predictions, especially regarding Scientism and the Technocracy, are eerily similar to those of English author and theologian C.S. Lewis  – see my previous posts entitled “The Abolition of Man Amid the Consequences of Reality”,  and “Gnostic Parasitism in the Post-Modern Simulacrum”, and “A Postmortem on Postmodernism”.

Gnostic Parasitism in the Post-Modern Simulacrum

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the dedicated communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction, true and false, no longer exists.

– Arendt, Hannah. (1951). “The Origins of Totalitarianism”, Part 3, Ch. 13

My last article, “The Abolition of Man Amid the Consequences of Reality”, was posted on January 31, 2023 and referenced the book “The Abolition of Man” by C.S. Lewis as a lens to view the current status of Clownworld.

On the same day, a video entitled “The Negation of the Real” was posted on another website and with the following introduction:

If you want to impose a totalitarian system, you have a problem on your hands: reality. The real is in your way and will eventually veto your project. Far sooner, people who can perceive reality will step in and prevent you from taking society over a cliff. Therefore, the only way to install a totalitarian system is to negate the real in the minds of those over whom you would rule. This is accomplished by creating an interpretive frame that deliberately causes people to misunderstand reality, sometimes called a “second reality” or “pseudoreality,” or even a “hyperreality,” which loses all contact with reality through its images and constructions.

The original video was posted 4 days earlier and is the first of a series from a December 2022 conference entitled “Mere Simulacrity” which is a transmogrification of “Mere Christianity”, another book written by  C.S. Lewis.

The entire video series is posted at SovereignNations.com and contains tabs at the bottom of each article that connects to each video in order.

For those who have the time, the video series is highly recommended.  And, for those who can’t spare the 10+ hours to view the entire set, it is the intention of this article… at the very least… for now… to summarize this first 2-hour video only. I believe it contains key insights as to how the Matrix of Clownworld was constructed.

Don’t Go Back To Your Pew!

Guest Post by Freed Radical

There was a good article at The Federalist recently, “Dear Christians: Get Off Your Couch And Back In The Pews,” by Georgi Boorman. The content of the article is right down the line on target, canonically correct and theologically accurate, but it still left me screaming NO! What could be wrong? What’s wrong with getting Christians back in church, back in their normal, usual places? What’s wrong with restoring what the covidian cult stole from us?

Heresy alert! The problem is that the pew is religion-run prison. Huh? Yes, religion captures people with philosophy, excitement, belonging, slick music and lights and fog and video, and sometimes even the truth, then screws them down to the floor in a literal and figurative pew, inside some building which is isolated from the world we should be changing. Now that pew does not look like a prison, and the hard wooden benches we called pews in ages past have been replaced by steel framed powder coated foam padded warmly upholstered individual serving size chairs. How could that be a prison?

Anything that prevents you from doing God’s mission for your life is a prison. Even if you like it.

America’s Well-Documented Decline Amid Wars in the Air

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

In 1976, some of the families sharing older ancestral lineages in my hometown were asked to march together in our bicentennial parade.  Although I was at an age where I found it somewhat embarrassing, I did enjoy waving at my friends and schoolmates along the way. Especially the girls.

Although the Saccharine Seventies manifested as a tarnishing patina on the silver platter of Norman Rockwell’s America, much of the shine still remained then in my hometown; even in the years before Ronald Reagan’s repolishing as the table was set again for his 1984 “Morning in America” commercial.

Five Insights Gleaned From The Movie “Unplanned”

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Over the weekend, I was where I needed to pass some time and thought an early afternoon matinee would do the trick. Although I was not overly enthused to see any of the films currently showing, I chose to see Unplanned.  Mainly because the title seemed apropos just then and the movie’s starting time fit my schedule. Moreover, it looked to be a political film about the controversial subject of abortion and was, in fact, based on a true story.

The tale told of the life and times of Abby Johnson, a headstrong young lady from Texas who became one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the United States. She resigned in 2009 after seeing a fetus at 13 weeks gestation recoil in pain during an ultrasound-guided vacuum aspiration abortion.

The film portrayed the abortion industry, as exactly that, an industry whereby Planned Parenthood profited most from procedures terminating pregnancies; even to the point of demanding quotas from its clinics. Furthermore, distinct and contrasting parallels were drawn between those who believed they were advocating on behalf of women’s rights with those who believed life began at conception.

As the Games Begin: The One about the Jews, the Baby, & the Bathwater

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Certainly any one who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices.

– Voltaire. (1765). “Questions sur les Miracles”.

This blogger has posted over 120 original essays since the fall of 2016. With topics ranging from politics to philosophy, I’ve strived to be true for the most part; and, at the very least, accurate.  In so doing, I would attempt to find three separate ways to vet source material – and, in my mind at least, I’ve built some trust with the readers and believe my essays, so far, have stood the test of time.  But if I ever wrote anything blatantly false, everything written henceforth by me, as well as my past articles, should be viewed with greater suspicion by the readers; and for good reason.

Accordingly, we are very fortunate to have the internet; at the very least, for its processing capabilities.  It is in the digital rooms of the interwebic blogosphere where intelligent people face-off in a virtual mixed-martial-arts cage fight where free thought and speech, link attributions, and interactive media, are traded like jabs, uppercuts, body-blows, and roundhouse kicks.  Using the ethernet to test ideas could also be compared to running software at the speed of light, with multiple programming variations, and zero real life consequences; until, that is, we choose to apply the computations. And this is when it becomes risky business.

‘BIRD BOX’: Christianity, The Great Awakening 2.0, Transhumanism, and the Neo-Feudal Order

NOTE TO READERS (from Doug / Uncola):  This piece was NOT written by me, but is a response to my earlier “Bird Box” article.  The following essay was e-mailed to me by Plato Publius, a regular commenter here on The Burning Platform.  Other than cursory proof-reading adjustments for punctuation and formatting Plato’s selected headings, photos, and links, this article is posted on behalf of Plato Publius and at his request:

I find it intriguing that my observations of “Bird Box” mirrored Uncola’s, particularly his description here:

In spite of its viral buzz during the final days of the year, as we watched ‘Bird Box’, we were mostly underwhelmed, except for the ‘B-movie’ satisfaction of our ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K)’commentary as the scenes unfurled.

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!
FAITH, LOVE, HOPE

Uncola’s analysis of the “faith” and “courage” aspects of the film were amazing and VERY true, but didn’t go far enough.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
